I like that Ibuki is the one trying to help Hajime with his problem during these free time events.
I really like how Ibuki thinks of Hajime instead of simply talking about her past. Ibuki accepts hajime for who he is, and while having a bad past she doesn't walk with a chip on her shoulder. Most of the characters think of themselves and their past (which is fine for learning more about them), but I personally fell that Ibuki's FTE (or at least her final words on her FTE) should be canon due to the impact it could have on Hajime.
In short I like Ibuki's FTE due to its different nature. (I also like Nekomaru's FTE for similar reasons.)
FTEs *are* canon. That's why we know so much about Mikan.

In her island ending, you get a brief glimpse of why she might've joined Ultimate Despair. Behind all her exuberance and energy, she feels a deep sense of loneliness that gets touched upon.
No, actually she is one of the easiest ones I can see falling into despair.

Junko manipulated the ultimate Animator and he ended up creating a video that messed with DR2 casts already shattered spirits after watching Chiaki be killed by Junko/Kamakura.

How the heck did ibuki of all people fall into despair
That is a good question. With the others, you can get a sense of why they ended up the way they did with their backstories and personalities. Junko must have been an exceptionally skilled manipulator to get Ibuki to side with her.
I haven't finished SDR2 yet, so I don't know if this is some plot twist, but what do you mean, "fall into despair"? Unless it's a spoiler, in which case please don't tell me
Ibuki was in a band, no? The "creative differences" she mentioned could me she was kicked out and had to leave the concert or whatever. So supposedly crying and broken-hearted, Junko saw the despair-filled Ibuki and naturally knew she would be an easy target.

It'd be awesome if in a new Danganronpa game (Not DR: AE), your level of friendships with certain people decide who lives and dies, and who kills who dies.
I remember hearing that such a feature was going to be in the first game, but they scrapped it. :(
Tidal E Sounds like a pain-in-the-ass to program. Plus, something like that with 15-16 students?! Something like that on a level that Danganronpa is, could take... over 3-4 years... then again, I'm just guessing.
That would be fucking terrible, character development and the story would be completely butchered.

Actually it's more a visual novel than a game, it'd be impossible.

You could make it work, as long as you dont make it too direct, like if only 3 people in a particular chapter could be possible which could be determined by the time you spend with certain people. Or if spending time with people makes them less likely to be killers, however there would always be a back up character. I dont know. Its possible, but would be difficult to do without screwing with plot, and game play. I still agree with you, im just trying to be realistic, so I doubt it would be done, but I like the idea.

I really liked Ibuki before, but, after finding out that she has the same voice actress as Falsetto from Eternal Sonata, I liked her even more! Fucking awesome!
Ibuki's voice actress also voices Kokonoe and Tsubaki Yayoi from Blazblue, Cordelia and Severa from Fire Emblem, and Tenko Chabashira from Danganrona V3, too
