- Hello all! I recently decided to show my progression bowling. It’s been a while since I made a previous one, so here we are! This took so long to edit so I hope you enjoy!

That has to be my biggest regret is not starting to get into bowling younger. As an adult i grind practice hard but free time isnt as easy to come by and with no coach you really never fully know if what youre doing/seeing is correct. I wish i would have started younger with coaching and the ability to have so much free time to practice every day. Keep it up man it looks great!
Thank you!!! I’m sorry to hear that dude, I get you. I’m grateful that I stumbled upon the sport at the age I did. Coaching helps a ton, but at the end of the day it only matters what scores you’re putting up!
@@TheTwoHandedTour Haha i agree youre killing it man wish my 2 handed looked as good. I spent a year 1 handed even though two handed felt for natural. For some reason i cant just walk in my 1 step approach but the 2 handed hop step feels smooth and my timing is better. Do i waste a year of time 1 handed to see if 2 is my move XD
I would stick with two lmao. There are many advantages that come with it! Unless you feel you can put up better scores with one of course. There are many places where you can find “coaching” online. There’s tons of tips on CZcams and you could even join Facebook groups for personal help on your form!
@@TheTwoHandedTour Yeah i pretty much live on youtube and have a couple friends ive made in sport shot leagues that are always willing to look at clips and give advice. Like currently trying to get my lead shoulder more in front and dip my right shoulder when releasing the ball. I feel like i roll the ball better as 2 handed its just a matter of being healthy. Im not exactly a small guy and if i dont slide properly my knee feels it after the games XD
Oof yeah I bet 😅. I used to struggle with back issues because of my backswing, I was able to fix that by keep myself upright and using my legs. I recommend practicing and practicing getting comfortable with a longer slide because it provides many benefits! (Including your knees lol)
This is awesome, as someone that's been bowling now for 14-15 years in my 30 yr life and brought a lot of my friends up from low to high averages it's cool to see your progression. Keep it up and keep killing it bud, let me know if you ever come around northern VA and we can bowl some haha
Thanks a ton man! Also will do haha
Crazy progression keep up the grind man! I just started about a year ago, working at a bowling alley and I'm a 1 hander, and to see myself going from someone who didn't know how to even throw a bowling ball correctly to 2 and a half months later bowling my first 200 to now a year later almost bowling my first 300 (yesterday, choked the 11th shot, ended with a 287 lol). This all really shows how hard work and dedication can really pay off. Awesome video man!
Thanks a ton! Glad to see you’re improving as fast as you are. You’ll get that 300 soon for sure! Keep working working hard.
Great to see this 3 year development. You have developed quite a lot, especially having more speed in the ball. I started my 2-handed life in June this year, after bowling 1-handed for 40 years...I have had some progress, but still struggling with that ball speed being too slow...and spare shooting being all over the place. You gave me hope!
That’s awesome to hear! I’m actually currently working on a video to help other two handers increase their speed. So stay tuned!!!
Fabulous progression! I loved bowling when I was younger and was on my college bowling team. Two handed bowling wasn’t even on the radar in the 80’s! All that matters is consistency and revs when you smash the pocket! Good luck to you.
Thank you so much! I’m glad to see someone welcoming the newer style to the game!
@@TheTwoHandedTour not me i hate that 2 handed shit
I’m 3 months into my journey. Just learned how to slide better into my shot. It takes years to perfect this sport in multiple ways. I’m glad you are still grinding bro keep it up 😤
It’s takes a lot for sure, keep grinding man!
Congrats, if you had a coach he did well with you, and you did amazing yourself. Your form got more relaxed yet more condensed, and it looks great! Good luck moving forward
Thank you so much! I have had a coach for about two years now, she’s amazing!
Inspirational. Thank you for putting this together 🎳😁
Of course! I’m glad you found it so impactful :)
Your progress is crazy good! Keep up the good work man
Thanks so much!!!
Great video. Awesome work getting from where you were to where you are. Hope it stays fun for you for a long time
Thanks a ton! I hope so too!
You are a huge inspiration and motivation to other young people. Great work!
Thank you so much, that means the world!
Hi, really impressed by your progress. I just started bowling two handed for 1year and i thought i was progressing really slowly because i only broke 200 a few times and i couldnt hit pockets consistently etc. However, after seeing your video i felt motivated again and want to persevere even more for my bowling passion. Thankyou!
That’s awesome to hear, thank you! I’m really happy to hear that I can motivate others to get out on the lanes. Keep working hard it’ll click soon!
Your progression throw their years is impressive I've been bowling for more than you have and yet you're more consistent than I am shows the work you've put in
Thank you! I appreciate the nice words :)
great video man love the hard work
Your progression is amazing watch. Keep it up man! Go win State! 🔥
Thanks a ton! I’ll try my best!
Being 2-handed seems to be the way to go now. The evolution of bowling balls vs the volume of oil is the continuation of the game. It is wonderful to see your progression over such a short period of time. Good luck and continued success!
Subbed! Great video and can’t wait to see you progress even more over the years!
Thank you so much! Appreciate the support 🙏
The progress is insane. Keep it up man !
Thank you so much!!! I appreciate it
dude! stoked for you, hope you make it to the tour one day
Tysm! That’s the dream!!!
Great video kid, it was great to see your progression over the years... keep it up!
Tysm!
Great dedication and skill! Good luck in future competitions!
Thank you for your kind words!!!
WOW
This blew me away!, I hope your dreams of making it to the tours come true!
Thank you! I hope so too
Just stumbled upon this channel…..great progression for sure, keep up the good work….not many people can shoot 300 that fast….just keep bowling and keep practicing
Thank you so much! I appreciate the comment :)
sick vid bro, ive been only just learning how to hook the ball so i still got a long way to go but very inspirational vid. keep up the good work man
Thank you! I’m glad you found it inspirational :)
earned this sub dude awesome work really dope
Thank you!
I wish that was me! Great job, and keep it up! 👍🏼🔮
that was great man, keep rolling that rock!
Thanks Chief :)
Good stuff my dude! I’m a senior this year too. And I bowled in Grand Rapids at junior gold this year. I bowled my first 300 just 5 months before you August 21, 2021. Keep up the good work my guy!
Thank you! Congrats on your 300 too!
I love it - great video - best of luck on your journey m8
Thank you!!!
This was motivating to watch, I just recently bowled my first 600 series. 300 here I come!
Glad to hear! congrats on your series, good luck.
I started my senior year of high school last year and have made amazing progress! Love this video! Also funny seeing Carter Streets around 5:37. Another amazing bowler.
Carter Street is an awesome bowler! Congrats on your progress dude!
Keep going! Instantly recognized some of those centers in NEO.
Thank you! Cool to see other bowlers in the area on here
You delivery really gets smoother as time goes by.
Thank you!
I have been bowling for about two years now, and I’ve been bowling one handed. I eventually hit a skill cap, (around 1 year in). I knew I had to change, but I never new the answer for over a year. One day, around a week and a half to two weeks ago, I got bored of bowling regularly because nothing was working, so I decided to bowl two handed. It was like the skill cap I had was lifted off my head, and I was putting up scores. I understand that I’ve been bowling two handed for a bit now, but I think it makes a real difference, and I watch this video for reference, if seen it about 4 times now just trying to find a good form to go by. Thanks for reading my ridiculously long comment
Awesome man! I’m glad to hear you’re finding ways to improve! Two handed bowling is a great way to make bowling interesting again, especially if you’ve hit a wall with one hand. Thanks for your comment! I have a newer video on this channel, giving some tips if you’re looking to improve your form! Keep at it dude!
@@TheTwoHandedTour the videos helped and now my form is a lot better than it was a few weeks ago
That’s awesome to hear man! I’m glad I could help! Keep grinding!!!
SAME
inspiring stuff!
Awesome progression man
Thanks for the video, I live really close to you I have bowled at all these places. Just have to say this you are looking good and man LOL at stonehedge for the 1994 computers! Good job man thanks for the video!
Of course man! Glad you enjoyed it!
the progression was all on you , the nearer you got the more balanced you stayed at the end everything clicked ! it took time for you to stay down and through the shot with balance , you did it !
watched the whole thing. Keep going young blood
Thanks a ton!
Rocking that Pantera shirt though!! Very fun video!
Thank you! Gotta love Pantera 🤘
Started bowling 8 months ago just turned 16 and I'm going to solo states as I type this in a van and watching this inspires me even tho I'm very amateur
The ball motion on the back end of the wolverine was amazing
Respect!!!😀👍
Very impressive. I started bowling around that age and without a coach it took me quite a while to get good but eventually I got to have over a 200 average. Never bowled a 300 but did get a 299 once. I’ve been away from the sport for about 8 years and now with watching these videos am planning on buying a new ball or 2 and getting back into it.
That phisix boiii!! I use an all road. youre good as hell bro.
Tysm! I love my Physix haha
@@TheTwoHandedTour I bowl in Colorado. Hmu if you’re in town bro. I’d love to talk to you!
This is really great, I’m 14 and I’ve been bowling since I was 6 as a first generation bowler. Im not a freshman yet still in 8th grade but last week I bowled a 246. I average 185 in league and on sports shot I averaged 168 this fall. Glad to see you doing well as a young bowler
Thank you! Looks like you have a really bright future ahead of you. I wish I could’ve started a lot sooner like you. Best of luck my guy!
Great progress 👏🏾
Thank you!
Awesome video keep grinding 💪
Thanks! Will do :)
You made that look so easy. My highest game is a 176 and I'm perfectly happy with it.
🏆 Congrats man. You've earned it.
Thank you :)
Awesome video great job!
Thank you Sebastian!
today was my first time going bowling! it was really fun, too! got my first strike, so that was nice. also, you are amazing at this!
Glad to hear you had fun! Keep going you won’t regret it! Also thank you :)
@@TheTwoHandedTour I think I will! Can't too often just because of school and stuff, busy schedule, but i'll still try to á much as I can. It's really enjoyable!
Outstanding!
Thank you!!!
I started bowling last year and that was when I switched to curving I instead of just bowling straight since I was now actually on a team. I’ve always been jealous of these super strong guys launching a 14-15 mph one handed while I’m over here doing a 10-11 mph two hand. I’m pretty happy I stayed two hand though because now I’m fairly consistent with an average of about 160. Not a very high average but I sure am happy with how little I practice and how long I’ve been playing.
That’s great to hear! All that matters is that you enjoy the sport. If you’re looking to improve your ball speed I’ll a video coming out soon about that! Thanks for your comment :)
Two handed doesn’t necessarily mean high speed. Actually, I find that it’s slower if you are just trying to whip it. Speed is mostly from your legs though, I’m pretty weak and can only bench like 70 pounds but I can throw it 19 mph two handed.
@@user-xs2fp2ul2o Thanks for the tip. I’m kinda same with the whole weakness thing. Since these two months since I commented I have developed a run up that almost looks like I am sprinting up to the lane. Strangely enough, me moving faster up to the lane has been my biggest factor that I could have changed.
I’m not as skilled and I’ve been on hiatus from bowling but I started freshman year high school with maybe about an 80 average. Built up to a 180 average by my senior year. Record game at the time was a 243. Managed to place 10th individually at my districts. It was a big achievement for me at the time to show my own growth. I for my junior and sophomore years I didn’t have a good team just rotating seniors and no coach. Building up technique on my own was a tough task but I made it work well enough. I do go for fun and plan to play in a league again once I finish college. Record game at the moment is a 278. 11 strikes, 7/ on frame 4. Technically I did manage the 12 consecutive strikes needed for a 300 but that was over the course of that game and the follow up. Although unofficial at least i know I can do it.
I wish i was this good in high school lol. I just shot my first 300 a couple weeks ago. Its an amazing feeling. Keep it up!!
Thank you, and congrats!!! It truly is an awesome feeling :)
Hey great work and keep it up. Hopefully get to see you at the college level soon
Thank you! I’m really looking forward to collegiate bowling. Best of luck to you!
Great work. Keep it u[ buddy
Hold up!. Pantera shirt lil bro!!?? Awesome!
Good stuff. 👊💪👍
Thank you! I used to be a really big fan of them
@@TheTwoHandedTour once a fan always a fan brother. Awesome to see a young man into different music and sports. Great stuff, made me happy to watch your bowling progression. We had an amazing alley right by my place almost my whole life. Shut it down not too long ago. Lots of great memories.
Elm Grove lanes rip 🙏
Ay that’s cool bro. I started bowling 2 years ago for Teays Valley. We bowl out of Wayne Webbs and it’s cool to see another high school bowler on CZcams.
Oh nice! I’ve been to Wayne webbs a few times, great center!
Being a mostly self taught 2 handed bowler. The number 1 tip I would give anyone wanting to hook is do not use house ball but if you don't have any money to buy your own yet then next best tip is to throw straighter.
The hook is very aggressive on house ball. Not so much with custom ones. Also, I legit hope you can go pro. Been loving the trend on 2 handed bowlers.
Left field, tidy up your hair. You don't have to cut it. Make it your brand like Kyle with his hair or Belmont with his arm sleve or okayu-something dude being 2 handed but has mad fast spare shots or the super super low 2 handed dude with the massive outward support hard or the Sweden dude with his tatoos?
I agree, I started 8 weeks ago trying to hook with house balls and it sucked lol. I got a good one from my uncle and can hook quite well now 😊
0:36 his form improved tremendously at the end of august
Love to see this! Congrats my man!
Of all the balls you have used, which is your personal favorite and which would you recommend for 2 handed bowlers that have just started out?
Thank you! I would say my favorite has to be the pitch black. It’s a nice, controllable motion for two handers, and it has done so much for me.
Wow that’s crazy!
Hell yea! good job
Thank you!
Other example that talent isn’t everything, hard work and the willing to learn is. If you want something, go for it. Its never to late
Couldn’t agree more, great words of wisdom! Thanks for the comment :)
vn but it looks like you dont have enough knee bend and your swing is not in time with your footwork. your 3rd to last step (right foot) is huge and it seems like you get into a swing too early. your elbow is moving too much laterally (very far away from your body initially). nice progression though for sure! i hope you dont think im being too negative just trying to help!
No criticism taken! I appreciate the feedback. Knee bend and swing are things I’ve been struggling with for a while now. I’m hoping a few more lessons with my coach will fix these issues. Thanks for the comment!
You did amazing
Thank you!
JP still running this place!? Learned to bowl here when I took his class while attending KSU. Recognized the lanes immediately! Congrats on the progress
Thank you! If you’re talking about Kent 11th Frame, I’m not sure.
Good job on 300 Gavin.
Thank you!!!
Your'e making Belmo nervous... lol .. awesome watching the progression.
Haha thank you! I appreciate the kind words
i loved the face you made showing you joind the team

Thanks! I appreciate it.
Started in June of 2022 and have been working to up my average. I'm averaging around a 170 atm with a PR 205 scratch.
Nice dude! A 170 average in a couple months is great, keep working hard!
Keep up the hard work man I started 2 handed 2 years ago and it’s been better for me and it looks super good on u

@@TheTwoHandedTour thank u!!! What’s ur favorite ball to use rn mine is the hustle ink or idol
I’m enjoying the hammer dark web a lot right now. And of course the purple hammer is always a great option!

Thank you!!! Maybe I’ll see you one day ;)
1:38 BRO THAT PIN THAT ROLLED MADE ME THINK OF 7-10
Good stuff
In the states clip my old high school team was beside you at like 2:50 I went to Wilmington graduated this past spring😁
As a two handed lefty with a backup ball myself, I can definitely say that the development in the swing certainly helps scores go up. What type of balls do you throw the most and what weight?
(I'm definitely a urethane bowler, and I throw 15lbs)
I throw 15lbs. I usually go with urethane, say a purple hammer. I’ve been mainly throwing the dark web recently. It’s a solid reactive and it rolls super nice.
Do you have a spider 2.0 I'm getting one and I can't wait to use it
As someone whole bowled in the Akron area from 2017-2019 in high school, you got a bright future🔥 wherever you go to college good luck! Maybe check out Kent State ⚡️ 🦅
Thank you!
I just stumbled across this video I began bowling two handed as well 4 years ago lol I wanted to get into bowling bc it looked fun and I saw everyone hook the lane I thought it was cool so I got into two hand best thing I ever did made varsity back to back years now my senior year coming along but congrats on your progress I rolled a 279 so I’m close But congrats again best of luck Hope to hopefully bowl against or with ya sometime I bowl at royal z lanes .
And your form kinda reminds me of a young Jesper svensson
Thank you so much! Hoping I’ll be able to bowl with you as well. Good luck with your senior year, That 300 will come sooner than you know. It’s funny you compare me to Jesper because he’s actually my favorite bowler. Best of luck again !
@@TheTwoHandedTour no problem man thank you I appreciate it and yes it will come eventually and yeah I love Jesper favorite two hand left hander of all time the physix is a great ball well your whole arsenal is legendary I’ll be at junior gold this year and if you ever find a marvel pearl get one it’s one of the most versatile pearl balls if you have any questions feel free to contact me
@@TheTwoHandedTour and thank you hope you have a great season
@@TheTwoHandedTour your one hell of a bowler you got some raw talent for two hand bowling and rolling such high scores this early in your young career hope we can do a tournament sometime 😉
My son is in his second year bowling and started with a coach. The coach switched him to two-handed bowling and he's getting better at the technique. Is there a good ball that you recommend that works well for the two-handed technique? I see that through the course of this video you mention quite a few different balls. What would you suggest?
There are many depending factors, mainly your sons ball speed and the conditions they play on. For a lower ball speed, say 12-15ish mph I definitely recommend owning a urethane ball, such as the Storm Pitch Black or the Purple Hammer. For the reactive side with said ball speed, I would go with a lower end ball, such as any ball from the hustle line, and maybe a Hyroad. Higher ball speeds (16-18+ Mph), look at big hybrid, or solid equipment. Some balls like that could be a idol Helios, Hammer dark web, supernova, and you can never go wrong with a phase 2. Thanks for your comment! Lemme know if you need anything else.
Subscribed!😃👌
Thank you for supporting the channel!!! :)
in 3 years I was scratch one handed, I learned from books written in the 70s that I checked out from my local library. This was back in 90s in my early 20s
What an interesting way to learn your game, nicely done!
Not going to lie, bowling for the school sounds really fun. I’ve gotten into bowling a lot more this year, and I’ve been at my two-hand game for maybe a few months? Getting my own ball and shoes soon too, can’t wait.
It’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Life changing! Highly suggest it!
Bro went from normal to emo 🤣
Very cool!
Thank you!
Great video! I see you improvise your swing at the end of the video. Please share your improvisation Gavin!
Thank you! I do want to start making tutorials. I will hopefully include some swing tips soon!
@@TheTwoHandedTour I subscribed and will looking forward to it!
I toyed with the idea of properly spinning the ball back in high school but never really tried to. Around the time I started watching PBA matches on CZcams (regardless of how long), which was late October/November 2021, Kyle Troup's 299 game from 2020 was when it hit me that I have to finally put my foot down and commit to something. I'm not two-handed, but he is the main reason that I'm thumbless.
I wish I would've had a more serious commitment to the sport/game earlier on but better late than never. I have always enjoyed bowling since I was a kid but nowadays it's beyond that.
I progressed from a 150-something average when I started having some form of a proper technique/spin and not having a very deep knowledge of the game to a a near-200+ average player today. I started frequently hitting above 200 average rather deep into the current fall league so my overall average in it doesn't reflect it.
Wow in 3 years you became super good. Im currently 10 months in to the 2 hand experience and I dont think ill ever turn back lol
I appreciate it! That’s right, never turn back, you won’t regret it :)
Hi saw this video on my recommendation! I’m just starting out bowling and I’m trying to learn two handed. At age 22, I don’t have a coach or anyone to critique me. Any tips on how I can get better and learn how to properly two hand bowl? Loved this video, movtivated me a lot!
Hello! Thank you so much for the comment! I can definitely give a couple tips to anyone starting two handed bowling. First thing, never give up! I would start off with keeping your hand behind the ball, and having it cupped in your hand. Another big thing is to keep your elbow in, if you elbow comes out, it will cause to you to miss inside of your target. Learning to slide on your final step helps a lot to keep your momentum as well. And finally, get low! Getting in an athletic position creates more powerful form. Thanks again for your comment, hope this helps :)
@@TheTwoHandedTour Thank you!! I will definitely try those tips!
Wow nice job, I’ve been bowling since I was young but I just started to take it more seriously and try to get better. I use 2 hands because it’s way easier to curve the ball in my opinion.
Do you have any recommendations? I’m thinking about buying my own bowling ball soon.
For a two hander, I’m gonna recommend any ball from the Roto Grip hustle line. They’re cheap, and a great benchmark starterball, any of them. Some other beginner balls, Brunswick rhino, Storm Tropical Surge.
@1:21 you can see that your left leg/knee sort of collapses in to make room for the ball. How did you fix that, because it’s not in your most recent throws?
I’m from Stow btw.
Wish I saw you at Jr. Gold, I've been bowling for 3 years and am averaging 205 for school rn but I'm having thoughts about going 2 handed
205 for three years is great! If you’re having thoughts of making the switch, be careful! Experiment with it a little bit outside of practice, and make sure it’s okay with your coaches if you’re determined to make the change.
@@TheTwoHandedTour I'm def gonna practice here and there, and ik what needs to be fixed which helps. I just get 180rpm with 1h rn so if I need to move left I kinda get stuck and can't do well which is where 2h comes in
What would you say is your go to ball? Your ole reliable/ole faithful. I’ve only been bowling seriously for 6 months and i really like the parellax effect. Highest game ive shot with it so far is 265 and I just got a prism and it’s super strong. I know most 2 handers shoot with urethane but what’s your preference?
I’ve heard of a lot of success with the effect. My go to ball would have to be the Pitch Black, but as of late it’s been the Purple Hammer. I bowl on a lot of sport shots and I always know what to expect with those two. As for reactive balls, my go to would probably be the Physix, very aggressive but controllable motion and I can really go deep with my angles without having to sacrifice choppy reaction.
