- The Kansas City Chiefs advanced to their sixth-straight AFC Championship Game with a 27-24 win over the Buffalo Bills (once again). Patrick Mahomes thew two passing touchdowns, while Josh Allen had three. The Bills had the opportunity to tie the game in the fourth quarter, but Tyler Bass missed the field goal. Colin Cowherd reacts to the Divisional Round classic, crediting the Chiefs performance, along with explaining how the Bills showed they were too Allen-reliant once again. The Detroit Lions advanced to their first NFC Championship Game since 1991 with a 31-23 win over the Tampa Bay Bucs. Jared Goff threw for two touchdowns and while the Lions are arguably one of sport's current best stories, Colin does not see them as a Cinderella story. He breaks down what makes the Lions more than just the typical underdog story.

Detroit is a dominant offensive team, and even though they give up big plays in the pass game, they’ve had a great run defense all year, and they make enough big plays on defense…4 sacks and 2 interceptions yesterday. They’re no Cinderella. They’re just a really good, well-coached team that makes play when they need to.

San Francisco had a historic defense, Eagles had one, Bills had one in the AFC Championship game…..All resulted in wins! This Ravens defense hasn’t faced an Elite QB YET!!!!! They faced a badly injured Burrow. That’s it. A good dose of a healthy Burrow, Allen, Mahomes during the season would flaw their stats! They are bad against the run just like the Chiefs and haven’t had any QB that could make plays like Allen, Burrow or Mahomes……Chiefs win this like all the others!

Every time the Chiefs touched the ball, they looked like they could just toss it and run it down the field in chunks and minutes, not phased by the scary away road game!! Chiefs looked invincible and the only thing stopping them was mecole hardman fumbling the ball away!! I never felt like for a second the Chiefs were gonna lose. Even had the missed field goal hadnt been missed, leaving Patrick Mahomes almost 2 mins and timeouts left, would have marched the field and kicked the game winner with no time on the clock!! FACTS!! 💯

This narrative of the Bills requiring too much of Josh Allen is a little strange to me. Did you not see how dominant they were running the ball all night, especially on 1st and 2nd down? They dominated possession. He got plenty of help
REALITY AND STATS DON'T LIE... THE BILLS ARE half AS GOOD AS THE CHIEFS 1/2....they had possession twice as long, had twice as many plays, and the stats say they were ALMOST even with the Chiefs. Bills lucky to not have been blown out. Hardman took 7 off the board. Buffalo had 3 fumbles but didn’t lose one. Allen got away with an illegal forward pass “lateral” that led to a scoring drive. Allen almost threw a pick as well late in the 4th. Double the TOP and total plays… still couldn’t win at home.
Stop with excuses for Josh. He’s a great player but not a great playoff performer, inconsistent. It’s shameful and disrespectful to Mahomes to compare this dude to him with his all time great playoff resume. Dude already has 13 playoff wins. Goff still has the some flaws like he had with the Rams. And I'm sure he will lose at time because of not beeing able to play a reliable deep ball pass to a moving receiver that moves fast down 30 to 40 yards in the distance. Rams are smart and didn't get rid of him because he is good.

The Detroit Lions, just in this past draft, may have, at minimum, drafted 2 HOF, in Branch and LaPorta.
In the past 3 drafts, they may have drafted 5 HOF, with Hutchinson, Sewell, and St. Brown.
They absolutely know what they are doing when drafting guys like Gibbs, Campbell, McNeil, Joseph, Jackson, Williams, Barnes, and Rodriguez.
They are not only hitting in the 1st and 2nd rounds, but in the 3rd and 4th rounds.
Also, adding depth free agents, 2nd chance guys like WR Reynolds, RB Reynolds, Glasgow, Cominsky, anzalone.
Brad Holmes has already cemented himself as the best GM in Detroit Lions history. He is the savior.

It was all the injuries on defense. They didn't have enough linebackers, the whole secondary was back ups or guys playing hurt. It was a great effort and they had a chance to win at the end but they didn't execute

20 yard plus plays: Bills 0 Chiefs 8. This hurt the Bills a ton. The average yards per play for the Chiefs was really 9.1 if you take out the 4 knell downs. This was amazing.
