- This video shows you how to install VLine Lexus Infotainment Upgrade System into 2007-2009 Lexus LS460 and 2008-2009 LS600h.
Once GROM VLine is installed into your vehicle, your stereo system becomes capable of the latest in-car infotainment technology.
VLine is the hardware unit that connects to the back of your stereo. It fully integrates with your factory touch screen and car stereo/steering wheel controls. The VLine video interface allows you to display latest Android apps on your car stereo for maps and media/music.
With VLine you will get:
- Access to the latest navigation, such as Google Maps and Waze;
- Build-in media player plugins for Web Radio, Spotify, Google Music and local (stored on USB stick or SD card) music.
- Access to the other Android apps, available at Google Play.
- Voice search for the navigation and music
- Song names, cover art, album, artist will be displayed on the car stereo
You will use the touch screen to change the tracks, switch between navigation and music screens, activate voice search for navigation and music.

Hi there, can you please confirm if installation of VLine doesn't require to disconnect the rear entertainment system in Lexus LX570 2008 model year? And also it will not interfere with existing OEM functionality in LX570? Thanks

Hi so does this tske over the cd changer my c d changer has no power to it for some resson but if i add this will it still work my fm radio still work i can still change the frequency but cant select Cd dvd
There should be a reason why the CD changer is not working. If the actual CD changer failed, the VLine will still work. VLine takes over the external CD changer mode in your vehicle, so even if the internal CD changer is not working, VLine system should still work using the external CD changer mode.
It is possible that the external CD changer is not working as the connection port at the back of the stereo has gone bad. In such case, the VLine will not show up.
Great job! Tell me, is it possible to install this unit on LS460/600L 2008-2014? It uses the same GVIF and CAN. Resolution 800x480?

Yes everything still works. It acts as a CD changer in the Lexus system.
What is the best area to place the vline unit??? Coz ive seen some videos of people placing it in the glove box and complaining that it gets hot in there.
We still recommend the glove compartment. You can also try placing it below the glove compartment, but still out of sight.
Is it recommended to disconnect negative from battery before proceeding with install?
No, it is not. However you have to be careful when you are connecting everything back. Make sure to disconnect and reconnect everything back only when the vehicle is off. Do not turn it on before you made sure to connect everything back.

Does the factory ML AMP that comes with car needs to be function for this to work? My ML AMP is blown and trying to find a simple solution.
The factory AMP does not need to function for VLine to work in the vehicle. The touchscreen itself needs to function.

@@gmayne5663 It is hard to say, I would check with the stereo professional. In general you will get the same sound as if using factory sound system with CD quality files.

Do you want to replace entire headunit? VLine integrates with factory stereo and display, so you do not have to replace anything - you keep using it and all OEM integrations and functions keep working.

No the process is different for IS. You get the idea, but the stereo removal procedure is not the same. We will have the IS video available soon, but you can also research the IS stereo removal. There are plenty available on the web. Thank you.

Does this connect to the internet? By itself of through smartphone?
It connects, either via smartphone internet sharing or you can use stand alone hot spot modem with the SIM card and plan. See article here:
