I too did have the Transgo Pressure Regulator installed. First bought one from an EBay vendor. It won't go in after following all the instructions, and just had just taken it out from the freezer. Ordered a second one from an Amazon vendor, went in smoothly, just like yours! Thank you Willie.
Great job! The magnets are stock and are meant to trap metal debris in the trans. Next time use zip ties to fasten the gasket to the pan and then cut them off and tork the screws. The oil is supposed to be changed every 60000 km and it's not "lifetime". Bmw refers to "lifetime" the 3 years warranty period. As any oil in time it loses its properties, viscosity and collects debris. E39's and the rest of the generation were one of the first cars to implement the marketing of long life oils....with long service intervals, which is just a way to make the customer think that he saves money on maintenance, but on the other hand makes him go to the dealer more often for more expensive repairs due to not changing the oils in reasonable intervals. I personally do mine engine at 10 max 15k km or a year. And trans at 50 to 60k km. I think it's a bad ideea to cheap out on oil. It's the blood of the engine. Good lubrication means less wear thus longer and smooth running engines. My philosophy. Anyway, great work👍
Ciprian Pirciu I appreciate the feedback! After doing this it really has me considering servicing the transmission on my wife’s 535 and maybe even the old X5 as well.
@@williefast99 Happy to help with any advice. BTW the car look impeccable underneath. It deserves to be preserved, plus the fact that the M54 3.0 is one of the best Bmw engines. Just got around to doing this and the shifts feel smoother. Still have the rpm drop issue in 3rd where I'd use steptronic and it would go into 3rd but jump up then back down but not as bad as it was
Thanks a lot for the v, but i think it's still need a half liter of ATF after turn on the engine and try all position of Lever and refill it again! good luck for all
Great job, i have a 2002 530i and fluid has never been changed with 124k miles. Would you recommend? How many miles did yours have when you did it? What fluid did you put in? Thanks
I haven’t heard of that happening. It is supposed to help with pressure spikes but I am guessing there may be something wrong with your connection at the cooler.

Wrong oil in it. 5hp19 run on automatic synthetic 75w90 that is yellow/gold and named for example AG52 from mannol brand with spec TL52 162. Did you figure out why the pan didn't drain? about to drop my pan and don't want that surprise!!
Greetings friend. What are the signs that this sensor is damaged. All if you please. Thank you and success on your channel
So it is a pressure regulator and on my car it was blowing the seal to the torque converter due to pressure spikes.
So what is the torque (NM) needed for the screws (T27 / T40) of the body module cover? thx!
8Nmfor screws holding valve body and 10Nm for the pan
Thanks for the video..Where are you from by the way
Minnesota
Does this pressure reg fix prevent against the exploding DG clutch issue?
Yes
Do you know the dimensions for each of the pressure regulators o-rings?
Damn bro thank you son much really appreciate it
Glad it was helpful!
Do you have a link to the same kit
Hello sir why should I put the rings on the valve before the freezer, then remove them before the intake is possible
Explain the method
The rings are for sizing the o-rings and freezing shrinks the whole assembly for easy install
So the cut ring goes on first then the o ring? The o ring doesn’t have to come off after being in the freezer?
The o-rings come off. Sorry if I am confusing. The directions that come with it are pretty clear.
I have some hard shifts when braking, but year when oil temperature is hot, do you think that could solve my problem?
Sounds like a different issue

Will this fix the P0741 code if the torque converter is working and not removed? If not, does the torque converter need to be replaced?
It is my understanding that if you have the 0741 code then you most likely need a torque converter.
