- Deeper into the Trichocereus rabbit hole with a very special guest in todays episode. Trevor Elliot better known by his online moniker The Cactus Jones. We tour his new urban cactus farm where we discuss a range of topics from of coarse cactus all the way to loss and grief. I feel very honored to be able to share this video with you all. Trevor has recently gone through a number of major life changes that we discuss during our time together. He is a Trichocereus connoisseur with a heart of gold, a family man and a all around great dude. I hope you enjoy. Thanks.
P..S. ICHOCA is not a pachanoi its actually a form of Trichocereus santaensis as per Trevor

@@CactusQuestwhere are you located if you dont mind me asking. Just the state and city. I'm in Arizona and I love your cacti collection! ❤
Incredibly moving. Turning trauma into comfort. She knew how to make real her eternal love for him. He walks in her sacred garden.
❤️
Beautifully said ❤
I am very saddenned for Mr. The Cactus Jones - seems like a great guy, glad he is pushing through and living his life the way they had planned. Strong man.
I love following him on IG he seems like an truly amazing soul and my heartaches for him losing Carrie I can't even imagine, thank you for posting this!
My pleasure and same. I cried while editing this.
This was an amazing episode. All the best to Trevor in healing from his loss. Appreciate his openness and the depth of conversation you guys had here. The resilience of cacti and other succulents has really attracted me to them as well. I’ve had some utterly fucked plants come back from near death. Lol
Thanks for the comment. Life is a game of resilience for sure.
Cactus Jones seems like a wonderful, down-to-earth person. I hope he’s doing well. Another great video Hunter!
Wishing the best for Trevor, may the Lord shine bright in every step he takes in Life, and may his path with TheCactusJones be successful. I'm sure Carrie is proud to see all the work done so far, May she continue to rest in peace 🙏
Great episode, thanks Cactus Quest

Some beautiful Echinopsis. Imma have to support this guy. I love the rows.
It's good to see them in the ground. It's like allowing caged parrot to fly.
So sorry for the loss of his wife!!! Way too young! Damn cancer seems to be everywhere! And unfortunately in younger and younger people!

brother)) hello from Russia.... .... thanks for the video!!)
The picture of Carrie at the end made me tear up.
Thank you for sharing your 🙏
I want to be this man when I grow up!!
Thats a lot of cacti 😆 nature is so amazing ~
Condolences to Trevor on the passing of Carrie...thats so tough. Beautiful episode, philosophical of life, death, growing cacti..I'llbe coming back to this one again... Can I check my understanding, Trevor grows them on, cuts them back, this generates major regrowth, these pups get harvested and I'm guessing those cuttings get potted on for resale. How long before a root system develops on those cutting? I'm collecting for a couple of years, this episode makes me want to take a risk and get them in the ground 🤝
Rest in peace to Carrie. She's watching over this garden and I'm sure she is SO proud
Had no idea about his wife. My condolences to the Jones family. May you be strong!
0h inspiring 🙏🏻
Hola un saludo desde 🇺🇾🌵hermosos cactus los que tengo tienen 4 metros de altura y un misterioso peruvianus de 3metros ya 28 años de vida mis cactus .
I wonder why no one ever used my secret, ninja method: Instead of putting your cutting into the soil, lay it ON the soil. Horizontally. This way the entire length of the cutting produces roots. More roots, more fun. And the shoots will know where to appear.
Using your secret today. Why not!?
@@KingChy-lf5dp good luck!

🙏🔥🙏
Amazing!
Great video, love trichocereus. This man has a beautiful collection
What the fuck? Hahah absolustly brilliant Spread the word - I have walked the outskirts...haha love it
Loved the video, beautiful Trichocereus. And his story hit me after losing a close friend over the summer.
Great plants and cool to see some rarities outside too. EUPHORBIA VARIETIES planted in strategic locations will keep the gophers away from dining on your best inventory plants.

enjoyed the Video.
💚💚💚🤗
I have always tried to explain the feeling of when you are out on your property with your plants and have never been able to clearly explain that feeling until this video where you 2 explain the cozy feeling and that's exactly what it is cozy
I remember growing up in West Texas we use to find turtles and wright their name on the back of their shell with blue finger nail polish. We kept them in our fenced in back yard and I'd bet they still live there 20 years later. Cool video!!🖤 I wanna make a cactus farm so you can come tour. 😉 RIP Carrie
So, that tortoise wearing the tag “Jess” was not a product of my fertilized imagination? He’s lophing in Las Cruces now, for the legal weed.
Amazing property 🌵💚
I can’t imagine losing the love of my life, I’m being forced yet again to though. So my heart goes out for his loss. 2am and just can’t sleep, watching videos to just blank out. But this video caught me off guard. Love life, love the ones u got. It can all be gone in a split second. I’ve lost so many friends and family in really messed up ways. I just can’t lose her… need to trip with her for real lol. Be good for us. Oh well
I didn't expect to see such touching story. Many thanks for video! Great respect to Trevor, RIP Carrie.
You know the day is yours to come..
Awesome property, not a huge trico guy myself but still a mind blowing collection.

really beautiful area and love this - my cats conquer the gophers - sadly, they have to live somewhere too. Thanks for this presentation!
That's a gorgeous property
Damn, man, right in the feels. 🥺Such a great and humble guy. Loved the Tephro-puntia grafts. Enjoyed this tour so much! (Even though it manifested that I'm so not a Tricho guy)
Rest in peace to your beautiful wife my man, stay strong

Always love the videos!! If you can you should definitely do a video with Steven hammer.
i saw this backyard posted on reddit a couple of weeks ago and looooooved it , id love to also give it a tour !
😍
At the beginning, seeing that Jiimz tag was cool. Some of the first Tricho's I'd ever bought was from him and they were spectacular specimens. By far the best I'd ever gotten from anyone. that was 20 years ago. However, I have to say that trichos are difficult for me to grow. I guess too much humidity. Black spot eats them up and kills them. I haven't yet found anything effective for treatment or prevention.
RIP Carrie
For gophers, you can Dig pits and put chicken wire underneath all your plants... they do it in weed grows in nor cal
I roll it over soil areas urban cats attempt to turn into litter boxes. Looks lousy but does the trick.
Why are all the tops cut off? I’m new to the cactus thing but it’s absolutely my new hobby I’m obsessed trying to learn as much as I cab
he propagates the cacti by taking cuttings which then root on there own to become a new plant - it is a way to make clones of plants
