I was super thrilled to see that you haven't reacted to the best young female singer in the world, hands down. Her name is Angelina Jordan and she is from Norway. Now that you have listened to this song, which has the exact same chord progression as Etta James' "I'd Rather Go Blind", why not see what then 12 year old Angelina did with it? She was just trying out for the very first time the new Neumann mic she got for her 12th birthday, and she did an INCREDIBLE cover of the song. I have been browsing through a lot of the comments to THIS video, and I don't see a single link anywhere, so I guess links are not allowed on your channel. Regardless, I will try to give you the link in a separate comment. But finding the video is as simple as typing Angelina Jordan I'd rather go blind 🙂 Do this one and fall down a truly amazing rabbit hole. She is 17 years old today, and turns 18 on January 10th. For context, she won Norway's Got Talent when she was 8 years old, an on America's Got Talent The Champions when she was 13, she was given the Golden Buzzer for her audition, performing her own arrangement of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. Queen themselves were so impressed that they pinned her performance on their socials and WOWed her. They also gave her the copyright to her arrangement, allowing her to perform it wherever she wanted. She signed with Republic Records when she was 14, and they just recently built Angelina her own recording studio. They did that before she has even released her first album. (So they are VERY aware what they have on their hands.) Her debut album will happen toward the end of the year.
I feel like I should apologize for ranting away about her on a Cakra reaction, but I think it is imperative that you get to hear her. Cakra attended this year's America's Got Talent, but unfortunately didn't go ALL the way. She is better than Mariah and Whitney but virtually unknown in the U S. Only listen to her live performances because she is at her best live.
