I remember the first time I listened to War of the Worlds and thinking "My God that guy can sing!". It was not until a few listens that I found out it was Justin Hayward which only made me appreciate it even more.

I just started listening to them about a week ago. I'm a fan of theirs for sure. Kinda went on a The Warning binge last week. They remind me of the hard rock bands of the late seventies, maybe early eighties. I love the power, aggressiveness and beat of their music. Great vocals as well. I don't consider it heavy metal, but it sure is not light rock either! Great music!!! Again, it sounds like seventies, modern day hard rock!!! Similar to Black Sabbath, Dio, Iron Maiden. That kind of music. IMO.

My opinion I think that they was one of the best bands out of the 70’s they don’t have a bad song.

The instrument they were mimicking was a mouth harp (aka Jew’s Harp, juice harp, or jaw harp), but the sound is a little similar to a digerido (Australian instrument).

On any summer night in the late 1970s you would hear this incredible band echoing from the car stereos of young men cruising town. Mine having been one if them. The defining positive vibe music of a generation. And it will never come again. I was blessed to have been there.
