    One of the best ODI Series in 2010 Era both teams have fought hard to win it England have crossed the line by barest of margins and Australia have put up a great fight but fall short

    In 13 years of Steve Smith's international career I don't think I've seen much better than that 6:46 drive from Smudge. Amazing feet, amazing hands, and a brilliantly timed drive. Cop that Jimmy Anderson😉

    All the bowlers bowling in this match were above 87 mph consistently and no one is even talking about them. These days if a team has even 1st bowler, then people start comparing him to Shaun tait and Brett lee and Shoaib akhtaer. 😅😅😅😅

      I agree. I remember the old cricinfo commentary had that 100mph ball listed at 97mph. The skysports speedguns were known to be a bit sketchy, as they'd show +3-4mph higher than the cricinfo comms. No doubt that Tait was capable of bowling +160kph (2007 v Nz and 2010 v Pak), but this game i've always had doubts.

    So strange, you had Watson in the team who could bowl 80-85mph and was a geniune wicket taker on his day, instead they had Hope and Hussey bowling low 70mph?! At the death? Very strange! I guess they had already lost the series maybe Watson didn't want to risk injury lol

      No fan of Paine, but feel like this was slightly different time. It was funny and odd that Paine was considered a more precocious talent than Steve Smith by some in their early days, before Paines injury

      Spot on. Tim Paine without doubt is the worst international cricketer I’ve ever seen, certainly the worst captain. And a particularly grim bloke as well if his personal life is anything to go by. How many first class centuries does he have 😆

    the speedgun was faulty...everyone seemed to bowl 5 mph quicker than their normal speed..

    In this wicket i think i can bowl 100 mph lol wen i see bresman and Anderson hitting 90 mph on english wickets but the rest of world, struggle to get over 85 mph hahaha

      Skysports speedguns during 2008-2011 or so were known to show +3-4mph higher than usual. I still remember in the 2009 ashes, a half fit Flintoff was recorded at 95mph in the 2nd test, and Broad was clocked at 93-94mph.

    Having seen interviews and commentary of so many great players like Ricky Ponting, Kumar Sangakkara, Rahul Dravid and many others over the years, I feel that these players played Odi cricket only with motive of earning money and just to be a part of World Cup and nothing else because they never ever talk about their Odi runs, centuries(not saying they should praise themselves but just talking about some moments of their Odi careers like they do all day all night about tests).I wonder how they played 350 odd Odis if they only loved test cricket.
