Yesterday I stumbled on this video. I have the Barkbusters VPS Handguards on my Husaberg FS 570 Thanks to the video I'm the protector on the throttle now get properly fixed Greetings from Germany
@hondarider9494 @hondarider9494 A bar end mount appears to be overkill for some, as it requires the rider to "hollow" the grips and "hacksaw" the throttle [Good Grief]. I could be wrong, but I believe there is an alternative. It's called a single mount. With this application, you just mount the handguards onto the handlebars using a clamp and a handguard mount that doesn't go into the end of your handlebars. Call before you order and ask for a "no hacksaw" mounting kit ;O)
I've been of the firm opinion that hand-guards (barkbusters) are stupid. That was until yesterday. Navigating a narrow and heavily overgrown trail a large piece of some plant went and applied my breaks for me. This caused me to grab the throttle and then do an accidental wheelie. My bark-busters are coming today.
@hondarider9494 Dependant on what type of bars you have they may have a little plastic plug in the end which will just pop out, otherwise just drill or remove that piece so you have metal sowing on the inside of the handle bar. You should not be cutting into the throttle!
@hondarider9494 Standing at the side the bike looking at the grip, grab a utility knife and just cut the inside bit of rubber out of the grip. So now you will still have the thicker edging of the grip remaining as you have just cut the inner piece out to fit the plug and bolt for your barkbusters.
@hyk000 How do u install acerbis rally II handguards? Do u know? If so do u have to cut the end of the grip and drill the inside of the throttle handle like in chaparral motorsports video?
the "non hacksaw" gaurds are Just for guarding brush and flying dirt and rocks. they are not as strong. they a just made of plastic and will not protect against hitting a branch or something, or falling down.
Depending on the model bike you have. The specific kit you buy for your make and model will be designed to go into the handle bar end and accommodate a handlebar weight if needed. There are Barkbuster handguards that don't require to be connected to the bar end,
If you think this is complicated please take a basic mechanics course before you start riding at all. for your own safty! there is no way you will be able to perform adequate basic pre riding checks on your bike. or even fix it in an offroad condition.
Bo B. Jacobsen taking the throttle off is what is putting people off. I wouldn't recommend Messing with the throttle if your incompetent with mechanics, for the small fee a shop will charge to fit it it's not worth it
@hondarider9494 Get the ones that arent wrap arounds. Go to my channel and Check out my xr350r walk around video. I have some made by Tusk. Alot of other companies make that style to.

Yeah I've never had hand guards line up that easy.
My bar end insert kit fits inside the bar with zero resistance.. Shouldnt it be a bit of a tight fit?
