Good thing FSD can't be stolen or directly duplicated. It's a vision only end to end learning neuronet. The only thing anyone can do is copy the technique, but it requires millions upon millions of miles of LOCAL visual data to train the AI that includes all incident cases.

The world's first electric vehicles (EVs) pre-date gasoline powered cars, with experimental prototypes emerging in Hungary, the Netherlands, and the UK around the 1830s. That said gasoline powered cars are pretty darn efficient these days. I think EV technology still has a ways to go to catch up.

There is nothing wrong with being a promoter. Mr. Musk is a promoter. Every businessman knows that there way more corruption and opaqueness in Chinese business than in the US. However, greed is very important. Allowing US companies to own a majority in a Chinese based producer would sell investors who were clueless about rules based economies with a non independent judiciary.
Clearly, the CCP is concerned with rumblings that only certain EV cars could qualify for special treatment in the US and that the US was floating the idea of a 400% tariff on Chinese EVs. The CCP does not understand capitalist economies or supply and demand and Mr. Musk is promoting himself as a way to sell cars to America and avoid sanctions. Haa haa.
