    I've been "fishing" for years, and I put it in quotes because I didn't know what the heck I was doing half the time; but I decided to take it a little more seriously so I can teach my son. And we've gone out several times the past few weeks and I'm so excited to try these puppies out. He's already caught more fish at 9 than I have in my entire life, so I must be doing something right. Anyway, I hear nothing but good things about these Senko's and gotta get out there ASAP now. Thanks for the video.

Love it, never skunked , while I was out with my wife, she saw how many bass I had caught, she wanted me to fix her up with the same rig. That did it, going out this weekend to buy her a spinning rig, she has turn to a bass killer. Love it. They just kill the rig. Bass were deep hit in first cast.

    Just a thought on the Wacky rig; I'm thinking that a very small split shot pinched onto the line or the hook shank might also be a good way to fish a weighted wacky rig. A small package of those assorted split shot that come it the circular red dispensers would provide a good assortment of sizes. I've never tried it, but I've never thought about using a jig head to whacky rig wither.

    Great vid. Love the quick pegging system especially on days the fishing is really good. Saves $. However I feel the mojo rig does have one distinct disadvantage compared to a typical Carolina rig with bead and swivel. If a finicky fish bites and pulls back in a direction that is away from the weight, the mojo rig allows the bass to feel the weight drag. As opposed to a Carolina rig, where the weight able to slide freely, without the fish feeling the added resistance. It may not make a difference all the time, but in post frontal conditions it allows that light-biting bass to hang on a second longer.

    Good Lord! I haven't been Fresh water fishing in many moons. Maybe 80's? I was expecting the old Bullet run to the top of the rig and cast. Things sure have changed. I'm going to give ur ideas a shot. Thanks!

      @@bassresource Nothing yet.. I cast till my back started hurting a bit. I quit sat down on a picnick table with my wife. Some young men 20's came up and did ask if they can fish in my location? Sure! Knock yourself out. Guy gets a net which he cast out snagging some small shiners. Less than 5 mins they had a nice foot long bass up on the Bank. Gezz! Oh Well! I haven't given up on the worm fishing. Thanks again!

    Thank You very much. Great Video and information. I am a new fisherman and I'm on a tight budget. At present I have one Spinning Rod and Spinning Reel. Because of my limited resources I must decide to use Braided line and use Fluorocarbon Leader. or Fluorocarbon only. please can you help. If it's all Fluorocarbon, what LB.Test for Bass? Thanks again to Bass Resource.

    I use a rubber o ring and put the hook in that instead of the bait when I wacky rig it. Works really well and it allows the bait to be used for a lot longer.

    Very informative vid! Thank you for taking your time to make it and upload. When you are demonstrating your drop-shot rig, it almost looks like your worm hook is on a swivel. Did you put a hook on a 3-way swivel? How did you rig that? Trying to rig it with a mooching knot leading down to the drop-shot weight has worked OK for me, but I'm curious what you did there as a pro.

    • @bassresource
      @bassresource  Před 8 lety

      +CT034 Hi CT034, I use a VMC Spinshot hook which, as you noticed, is a hook on a swivel. It also has line ties for rigging. I like it because it prevents line twists, plus it allows the bait to move freely. BTW, I am not sponsored by VMC. The hook is my personal preference.
