    Warning for patients with IBS (constipation or diarrhea): 2 tsp clay in one glass of water may make you constipated which will be very painful. It is too much clay. Even 1 tsp may be too much! Better start low than to suffer from pain. (Speaking from experience.)

    I mix bentonite clay w/cashew milk for a mask. Wonderful results for attaining softer skin. I got tired of mixing with apple cider vinegar because of the strong smell. Cashew Milk is rich in copper and boosts collagen production which helps skin look smooth and youthful. How the copper and bentonite interact is anyone’s guess. Works great for my face as people have complimented my skin.

  • @practicalman45
    @practicalman45 Před rokem +5

    I am an advocate of clay. One caution, though, if your sewer is a septic tank/leach field system:
    Doing regular clay baths can eventually clog your leach field system. Clay is used for the sealing of the bottom of ponds (so the water doesn't leak into the ground). Enough clay baths and your septic tank may start overflowing after awhile. The remedy requires replacing the leach field. An expensive fix!
    (Ask me how I know.....) 😭🤑

    Thank you for the recipes. I use geranium oil on my dog, twice a week during spring & summer keeps ticks & fleas away. It aslo makes her smell lovely & clean. Much better than toxic bravecto or spot on poisons like "frontline". Which is exactly the same pesticide as those inside cockroach baits! From memory its- "Imidacloprid".

    • @sandrabulluck1896
      @sandrabulluck1896 Před 2 lety +3

      Agreed! Those flea and tick drops are so toxic! They always made my dog sick.. any kind. So I started using natural alternatives. Like ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) with essential oils as a wash & rinse. Before I started using ACV, I would use Diatomaceous Earth. Either one works great or both if you need to!

    • @beepassionate
      @beepassionate Před 2 měsíci

      Imidacloprid is from the chemical family of neonicotinoids. These are systemic pesticides which means within 10 minutes of being put on a plant's leaf it is in the stem, roots, flowers, etc, in other words it saturates the plant. All sugar beets used to be coated in imidaclprid.
      It is used in parts per billion in water which tells you how toxic this crap is.
      Many non GMO seeds are coated in it, especially carrots.
      Also imidacloprid has a two year life in soil so if a crop had this pesticide on it and a different crop was planted there the next year that crop has imidacloprid in it.
      Plus it is water soluble so if it is in one farmers crop, all wells downstream will likely get it after a heavy rain fall.
      It and clothinidin, another neonicotinoid, are the reason the disappearance of the bees. Blessings

    I would think that the problem with making this a toothpaste would be that it would affect people like me who still have metal fillings. That the clay would start breaking down the metal in the fillings and eventually wear it down since the job of the clay is to detox and flush out heavy metals?

    You have to let the clay absorb water, for 10-20 minutes, BEFORE you drink it, because it expands as it absorbs moisture!
    You do NOT want it to expand when it is already in your digestive tract. It will cause constipation!
    Moreover, 2 teaspoons is too much for drinking purposes. One is enough.
    ALWAYS(!) let the clay to expand for up to a half an hour, or more, in your glass, or it will expand in your gut!
    And that is not enjoyable.

    Be careful - not all Bentonite clay can be taken orally. Calcium Bentonite is the Food Grade and digestible. Sodium Bentonite is for topical use only.

    Charged clay should only be used externally to draw positively charges particles out. Used in this way, you loose limited minerals that you desperately need. There are non-charged clays available for internal use.
