- World's First Forged Carbon Fiber Raptor Steering Wheel & Shifter on Supercharged F150!
In this video we reveal the world's first forged carbon fiber Raptor steering wheel on an F150. Carbontastic modified the Raptor Wheel and a custom forged carbon fiber shifter. This is truly one of a kind on a one of a kind truck. We chose forged carbon fiber instead of traditional carbon fiber. What do you think?

World's First Forged Carbon Fiber Raptor Steering Wheel & Shifter on Supercharged F150! - Auta a dopravní prostředky
I think the forged carbon looks great on the Wolf
I’ve seen all the videos since the bronco videos last year and now I’m going back to watch all the videos from the beginning . Either these videos are damn good or I’m really bored, you decide🤣😂
I'm not a huge fan of the carbon but look. I think it's overdone. This forged look is definitely more unique.
A steering wheel is one of my favorite mods. No matter what you do or how you drive, you constantly use your steering wheel. It totally changes your driving experience.
I’ve not had it on for many miles yet but it 100% changes the drive. Thanks for watching!
18 was the last year to have the cd player. I have the Lariat special edition like you except it's a 2019 and it doesn't have a cd player. Crazy to think they still put those in there up to 2018. All the cds I owned are sealed up in a box in my closet.
Hey Sam and Brad, awesome video. I just got my Odin kit installed on my 2016 F150. It took quite a bit of time and communicating back and forth with VMP. Apparently they made these kits work for a 2016 mustang, but hadn’t actually installed one on a 2016 f150. We finally got it to work. It put 730 hp to rear wheels on 93 octane. This is with long tube headers without cats and true 3” dual exhaust system.
That’s awesome Alex! I bet that thing rips. Are you lowered?
@@BackroadDriver no, actually on 33” RTR tires and 2.5” icon coil over suspension. Probably about 2.25” lifted over stock.
I can’t wait for your BWoody product video. I have the BWoody traction bars and love them, but thinking of doing the differential supports as well.
2016, do you like it? I have a 15 that I want to get ODINified someday. More power, more burnout capability, better towing
@@americantrucknation4891 so far yes. I just got it completed 3 days ago. I might need another tune revision to smooth out a couple of idle issues and shift points, but man it pulls hard!
@@alexchambers5099 what gears you running?
Brad, sorry for all the comments but I like re watching your videos, if you want to shed weight: screw the running boards, the truck will look cleaner without and faster 0-60; AmeriHood, fiberglass with Ram air, more cold air on the intake
Running boards are on the chopping block.
@@BackroadDriver they are on my truck too. I hate running boards, my truck didn’t have any from the factory, but when my dad bought it so I could buy it from him. He put running boards on it. They’re barricades, they look nicer than most, but as my grandpa said they’re snow catchers. Now that’s it’s mine, they’re coming off. I may eventually put AMP steps on it. But I love the lines without, every truck my grandpa owned he pulled the boards off. Except this one which never had them to begin with. Your truck is really pretty, it’d be even prettier without the boards. Lighter too.
I think I would have had the wheel covered in black leather and alcantara. Forged Carbon looks like it belongs in an exotic. Just my 2 cents.
My dads truck has those wheels, they are 18” chrome like pvd. They drive me crazy just looking at them. They look grey with brake dust all the time. I’m glad I got the 20”s aluminum wheels off of the STX.
Those are nice wheels!
@@BackroadDriver yeah I like the lightweight. They look good for now, they’ll be changed probably next year
Not the 1st. I seen that supercharger on 2 other trucks 3 months ago. 😁👍👍👍
Steering wheel or supercharger?
This supercharger was put on by VMP in February...
Garanty its not the 1st.
What would you bet? This video is from seven months ago and features VMP congratulating me on the first ODIN truck.

That’s awesome. Both carbon fibers are out of my price range but luckily I got actual leather on my wheel. Well done Sam at getting that done
Also, it’d be sweet if someone supercharged a 7.3 gas and swapped it to an F-150
@@marchaws yeah definitely
That would be awesome in an F250!
@@marchaws my moms boss just ordered a 2020 F250 Lariat tremor he is putting a whipple supercharger on it will be sweet
American trucks, that would be absolutely sick. That truck would rip. Brad, your truck is awesome and I’m glad you got some new tires, I can’t wait to watch the Wolf tear through them 8 tires like nothing
Is the original wheel vinyl? I thought in 18 the put real leather on the wheel, maybe that applied to the King Ranch, platinum and limited. My truck’s wheel is wearing on the top I would like to replace it with the real leather and maybe add heat while I’m at it. I can’t stand the way it feels. So is the shifter. It’s gonna go soon. Just gotta find the parts
What year?
@@BackroadDriver 2015
I think vinyl or not they’re really comfortable. My truck has no cushioning in the wheel
Would my 2018 stuff fit?
@@marchaws True, I could replace it with anything really. The different textures from the top to the side are what bother me. I guess I could probably get a cover or something off Amazon and do heat later, I’m never going to sell the truck so I’ve got time. Too bad they don’t make covers that fit F150s and Super Duty’s though
Just seen that you are from TN. I'm over in Tipton county on the west side. I have an Edlebrock 2650 in my 2018 F150. We seem to be pretty close on the numbers that you are running. Maybe I can find you on facebook and we can talk shop.
Sounds great! Backroad Driver on FB. Also Brad Mizer.
nice! i know boosted f150 had a raptor wheel. that is sweet for the shifter
the wheel you got is awesome!
Boosted did have a Raptor wheel. I bet he took it off of the salvaged truck to reuse or sale.
@@BackroadDriver i would think so. as i know i would do the same thing!
Terrible what happened to him. He is still putting out great content and moving forward.
Please do the burnout video soon so I can get rid of all these extra tires in my garage!
Forged
Thanks for the comment! I’m leaning forged for the GT350 as well.
