Somehow this manages to be extremely motivational and totally demoralising at the same time!
Exactly. I´m happy I can barely handle my shitty MAGIX video software XD
This make you happy because you want do it this amazing, but sad because you know you can t do it.
@@flush286 True
Why bro nothing is impossible just practice makes the man perfect
Everybody is human if,he can you aslo can
All you need is Focus interest in your work and grinding untill you make this
I'm telling y'all, Houdini was developed by Aliens
Z odiaq That explains the UI haha
@@harrisondorn7091 Lol is it that bad?
Marcsman07 No I’m just an idiot
Agree👊😎🔥
Just type 'toggle' in a node tree view and you are in a safe zone buddy
Would not be surprised if SideFx headquarters was located in area 51
we gon find out soon!
Not at all
i think its Canada actually lol
My CPU just ran away out of fear.
good. now get your GPU out.
It’s like magic the only bottle neck that this program has is the human mind
@Hagop D just download more ram!
Vram
it's the opposite. people have their idea and put that idea into these. and bring the imagination into these so other people can see it. we all had a great idea in our mind but it's hard for other people to get it.
you can imagine, right?
CPU and GPU...
And nodes. I hate nodes.
Just pure class, these yearly reels inspire me to learn more and more.
@Warrior Robotics yes
Hi there hello I'm just here to say that I was the 69th like..It's a useless information but I had to mention it because it's the funny number
Cinema 4D is cool and all but everytime I see stuff made in houdini it just blows my mind into a new dimension
ikr
Wait till you get to blender
Cinema 4d is the wrong package for doing this type of stuff
@Warrior Robotics Not that simple
@@theepicguy6575 LOL
If I could create VFX and animation this detailed, honestly I would just do it all the time, literally make my dreams come to life...
But then you realise you have to make it work to pay your bills and you have to do other people's work
@@TheFreshSpam yeah that's the problem I'm dealing with
@@Mandelasmind That's the problem we are *all* dealing with.
I love this presentation and hope to do more with the Houdini. What an inspiring! Many thanks!
Хотелось бы поставить дополнительный лайк. Очень много Беларусов в этом шоуриле и это индустрии, хоть нас и мало😎 Мега круто!
вау, а можешь дать на них ссылку?
This absolutely extraordinary. I can’t believe this software that I’ve never even heard of has so many brilliant titles under its belt and has such exceptional FX capabilities. I so wanna try this out.
lol, i was using it in the 1980's, i expect you were but a twinkle in someone's eye back then.
Blender: 2.8 released
Houdini:
"Hold my GPU"
This makes no sense. Blender wasn't trying to reach Houdini's level of vfx in the first place. Not yet...
Blender is open source
Uniday Studio - it's like comparing apples with pears. But, yeah, the Karma renderer will do have GPU support. And will be able to render an insane amount of geometry data! Even on GPU! I wish Cycles can get to the same level one day!
@@advaitchougule242 It was supposed to sell , just some copyright issue happened and they had to do this and they decided to keep the tradition going on
Blender is open source so VFX companies can't hold blender accountable for any program errors so that's why use Houdini
Houdini is amazing. Absolutely insane
the Music...AWESOME!
Best program ever made
Must require a lot of determination to learn this ig
The most powerful program
@Warrior Robotics Houdini is better than the whole universe
This is absolutely stunning and so very inspiring.
🙏
Love these highlight reels, god tier software lmao
Houdini is so good
It just keeps getting better :0
Wow!!! Mi avete fatto venire la pelle d'oca. Video clamoroso. Bravissimi....per tutto!
Almost as mindblowing as the community reel!
All these shots look cool.
3d animation is something that I cannot hate! 😮
Powerful Work Houdini.
This is more of brain, dedication and imagination. Rather than the software and the cpu.
Just bought my license today. I am incredibly excited to go down this journey!
How much this license ?
And how you doin now ? I wonder :D
Lol i have free but cracked
Hows it been going?
I am feeling goosebumps in my stomach 😍🤩🤩🤩🤩 bow down to skills
I'm always in awe watching the reels of these companies, and the harsh reality is, by the time your read my comment, it's probably too late to even start learning Houdini to make even one scene :P
So relatble
yet if you'd started 3 years ago, you'd have 3 years under your belt by now
...something i'm trying to keep in mind as i begin to try and understand even 0.0001% of this utter behemoth
Holy crap, there's a lot of cool stuff!
Beautiful work
i am determined to grasp this at an expert level. Mark the word.
Amazing app! You guys rock! 8)
Software*
I'm sure as hell putting this on my Christmas list
Talk to your bank manager not Santa, you'll need to sell your first born to buy this.
They are just in everything.
Awesome still learning it endless possibilities
1:03 freakin awesome!!!
Literally just blowed my brains.
Nitin Dinesh tsss
Every single image is beautiful, but whoever doesn't know Houdini, will come out just as clueless about it after watching the video.
I just started learning this, and I love it so far.
J Walker how did you find the SSE4 processor needed to run Houdini?
BAD TV there might be a work around for you but that’s an AMD issue to my understanding. Look it up. I use Intel Xeon.
J Walker ok cool thanks will do.
Houdini looks stupidly good.
Wow! Amazing!
so much inspiring .
2:28 is the most disturbing thing I've ever seen.
Epic man
Off the hook!! Yes
I think Amiga sorta popularized 3D animation about 30 years ago... I can't even imagine what kind of graphics we'll have 30 years from now.
Houdini was developed by Area 51 Aliens.... believe me
I agree.. only the more advance civilization can build this..
@@gagambibo8949 Well, it was Canadians so I guess thats one for them hehe.
Soundtrack by VHPR - Into The Slaughter
Amazing
Trentordicesimo!
freaking beast
When getting started with visual effects at home, which is better, an Imac or windows based system? And which models and programs are used besides Houdini?
Houdini é simplesmente incrível
espetacular
Foda é os cara vindo aqui pra comparar com o Blender...
Mind blown
0:38 i have seen this part on a Unreal Engine video
Yup, it was made in Unreal. I have no idea why they took it.
Maybe it was mainly made in Unreal but very slightly edited in Houdini?
@@PervonHarke You don't really edit in Houdini. I saw someone else speculating that maybe some of the models were made in Houdini, but that's not really enough reason to just cop the whole video without explanation
@@sanjacobs6261 I agree.
you can see that Houdini was used extensively in this video. czcams.com/video/OKm8MaKf9pU/video.html
thanks for listing the project names... oh wait
The most complete piece of CG software.
1:02 that transition 😘 which movie / season?
Movie: How it ends.
@@dougbarreiro8081 @Doug Barreiro oops I was talking about the Girl ice skater going underwater its a commercial "thin ice" , thanks.

This is so good that it pisses me off
These kind of reels deserves to be uploaded in 4k, pretty please?
ГУДИИНИИИИ!!!! ОБОЖАЮ ГУДИНИ!!!!
the 1:25 blackframe triggered me slightly. incredible work overall though!
Amazing reel. Gorgeous!
Song name pls. Can't find especially this song at videohelper
Can somebody tell how to get the SSE4 processor needed to run Houdini???
Is the scene from the dude holding a sun from a movie? Looks hella cool.
I like how instead of huawei it says UNEXPECTED
1:18 I love this Porsche !
Us too...911 RSR baby!! :)
Damn. I want to learn that.
And to render fast you need industry level supercomputer costing more than sports car
Not that much, the rigs we use and industry have are about 2000 to 3000. The screens actually cost more and sometimes even the chairs ahahah
michael martin use a farm instead
Most workstation machines like mine are in the 2 - 3 k range. Rendering is where the money is, where they'll use many servers linked together to divide up the rendering process to multiple high powered machines. So rather than being 2 - 3 k it's closer to 30 - 40 k because you are getting many high end machines.
TheFreshSpam is right! Next thing on my hit list is a color accurate screen... costing nearly 5k. Now that's a punch in the wallet. (You can find some decent dell ones for around 2k)
@@Kaboom1212Gaming which processor n GPU are u using?
@@MrArtVein Not everyone has money to spend on farms
Transition at 1:03 is lit
10 senedir aşık ola ola kullandığım program, büyüksün SideFX
Quixel isn't on unreal engine?
One above ALL of 3D software....🔥😀
Wrong really. You mean Dynamic simulation.
Try properly modelling anything, or animating rigs in this. Oof.
@Default Cube Simulation...
Amazing!
Zdravim ❤
Houdini is my religion
Amazing shot 1:02
Well, now i wanted to know the names of all the movie scenes they used!
I am in love...........................................
List of works these are all from?
Which music by Videohelper was used in this? I must know!
VHPR - Into The Slaughter
Im attracted to houdini ;)
Que programa usaron para editar ?
Why not list the project names also? Some of this looks like I stuff I would want to watch!
牛逼到顶了
This is what you'll find inside area 51 for sure
1:58 cripes, where did that shot of the spitfire come from?
may be I'm asking more, but can someone please name each and every bits / pieces shown in the video be it a movie clip, song, advertisement or anything. it's just that everything seemed so much amazing and I want to know the whole story. thank you in advance!..
From what I know
0:00 looks like movie "mad max"
0:10 is from movie "Venom"
1:26 is movie "Shazam"
2:18 is "spider-man: into the spider verse"
1:45 does anyone knows name of that film ?
And this 2:26
Maya Vs Houdini - Which one is more powerful or has a steep learning curve?
Both extremely powerful. Maya is friendly but temperamental. Houdini is a wicked witch with powers unimaginable but hard to tame
@@TheFreshSpam sounds like Houdini is more powerful then.
@@TheFreshSpam Maya is not friendly, almost everyone complains about it..
Bit late but does anyone know what the Disney film shown is?
wait a minutes... Isn't Quiexl at 0:38 made entirely in UE4? Or am I missing something...
I thought so too but then i looked into quixels video description and it said "Houdini team:"
It may have been rendered real-time in ue4 but the assets themselves built in other programs
@@hanna50000 Damn, that's probably why they thought this was ok. However, it shouldn't be in this video. They could show the assets themselves rotating in blank space, but not something that just so happens to feature assets that were made partially using their software :p
Houdini has some features that gives it some pretty tight integration with UE. The reel is about what's possible with the software and considering Houdini is more than capable of rendering that on it's own I don't think it's very misleading. People who use those features should be able to piece it together and people who don't should know that you could make it... if nothing else, it's a great way to start a sales call.
"Leveraging the power of Houdini under the hood, coupled with Megascans and LIDAR on top, the production team proved that small team of artists can achieve insanely high quality results in a short amount of time."
Wow
is this better than AE?
Which is better Houdini or Maya? I need to know before I buy.
CJ how do you not know the answer and have the money needed to buy this
You need both mate. And more software ontop of that. If anything. Maya. Houdini isn't versatile enough.
Is Houdini compatible with Redshift or other GPU accelerated rendering engines?
yeah redshift has houdini version, render man too
