I'd like a more videos in this series, too. Not so sure on the questions, but I find your workflow interesting and I particularly enjoyed the overhead and creative shots. I rarely film additional shots after the rough cut unless a shot is absolutely not working or I missed one so that was a good reminder.

Great series, really finding this helpful! Maybe something about how to find the right style of video for your content. You have a very patticular style, how did you arrive at that? As a new creator I struggle to know what direction to go, should there be a voiceover or talking to camera, music or not, fast cuts or ASMR long form, vlog style, irreverant and less scripted or more professional?! Thanks again for putting out great content!

When things go wrong. Not necessarily a blooper reel (but that could be relatable/consoling) but how you work thru disappointing footage content. And how you troubleshoot when it just feels flat but you don't know why. This video was on point, as always. Thanks for all you do Matthew.

I’m a new creator in my late 50’s, began 3 months ago and have been struggling with aligning all the “new content creator” information that is shot at us like a fire hose!🥴 The way you present your strategy for producing your videos, your innate desire to help others that shines through😊, as well as your artistic eye and calm methodic way about you is truly what I needed RIGHT at this moment. As an architect an designer I like to build stuff, specially furniture, I wish I could make most of my designs and accesories one day, just like you did, sometimes you cannot find the right table, desk or piece of furniture for your needs, you have to design and build it for yourself if you can. Anyway I like the way you make creative content and your minimalistic style, keep it up with all good work you are doing mate. Cheers.

Part of the editorial process. Loved the shot, but didn’t make the cut.

Hi Matthew. Many thanks for sharing. It is really pleasant and inspiring just to watch it. But I'm curious about how long does it take to realize the shooting since the moment you position the first camera to when you do the last shots that will go in the rough cut. And how long does it take on average to write the list of takes and the editing part? If I can suggest you as next topic for this mini serie, I would love a dive deep in the process of how you chose a certain framing instead of another... I know I'm asking something that is more a tutorial than a story... but I think it's the natural next step for this serie.

For a long CZcams video, it usually takes 4-6 weeks start to end. For a short/reel it’s usually a day.

Interesting video, I enjoy looking at the process behind the scenes. Having made (or tried to) makes some videos it is amazing how much time you spend shooting / editing VS what you end up with.
Also, on average, how many cups of coffee do you make when shooting a video like this or is it only one cup?
Thanks for the great content :D

Thanks. For this shoot, I think I shot the payoff shot 6 times? I'm still working on my latte art skills, so many of the attempts I wasn't happy with.

You are very inspirational person. I am a very old viewer of your channel and I have noticed that you have a passion to explore new stuff. As a fan i would like to recommend you to read a good English translation of the Qur'an (something like sahih international Qur'an). You'll really enjoy it ❤❤❤ it will be a new experience

I don't know if I'm the best person to talk about that subject, but I will consider this moving forward.

Really interesting to see the BTS process! What was your thought process for choosing to stop down to f8-10 rather than using ND filters to cut light?

@@MatthewEncina 2:25 for example you can see the back of the screen using f10 so keep your shutter at 180 degrees, just found it interesting doing that rather than using a variable ND for instance - wasn’t sure if it was a creative choice or just for speed!
