My Armadillidium maculatum finally made some babies. Took forever. I don't think they were fully mature when I got em, and I only started out with ten. Hopefully before too long I'll have enough to seed my crested gecko viv. I tried dwarf iso starter cultures from NEHERP two seperate times and both failed for some reason. The springtails are kicking ass though. I just grabbed a few tiny substrate chunks from my viv and put em in my iso tub and it was full of springtails in what seemed like only 6wks. They _are_ fun to keep, isos. I'll keep a seperate tub of mine even after I've seeded my viv just to have em. I don't even bother feeding. They seem to be doing just fine on the leaf litter and dead bark. I did forage some very decomposing bark from the woods to use instead of the cork I was first using. Cork barely seems to decompose at all. It's remarkable stuff. I can see why it costs so much.
