How much did you pay for this? I see a lot of models $100 over the $330 MSRP for the basic model.
I received it to review, but MSRP is $329
There's a problem with driver for this card ! What version of driver is fully workable ?
no, there is no problem with the driver for this card, it has to do with the age of your hardware, windows updates and more. If you would like me to help you, start a new thread, so that I can see this comment, i had to go in the backend to find this comment.
@@heyitschrisbrooks Thanks my friend, I do appreciate your kind words. You can already see a 6700 on at: czcams.com/video/EndgyEm3A6o/video.html, 6800: czcams.com/video/y8mIsFIA15k/video.html but I have not done any recent as they take a lot of work, I am thinking maybe I need a better encoder as well, so I can get more detail in the video but everything comes out of my wallet, so it is rough. Also, please try not to comment under another post, many times with youtubes horrible commenting system, I won't get notified and your message may not be seen, and I like to reply to everyone.

No POST for me after installation, but then changed from straight-thru 8 PIN power cable to multi-drop PCIe cable with a six-pin connector and separate two-pin (to form an eight pin, just from two pieces). That was the trick.
All cables came from Corsair RM750e power supply. Working great now. Thanks for the video.

Thanks a lot - you saved me a lot of trouble. One thing: For some reason the "Factory Reset" Option prevented the install of the Radeon drivers in my case, so if you encounter the same issue, just uncheck it and and install the drivers and you should be good to go.

@@ThisBytesForYou Thanks man :) Ive just bought this card & need to swap out my old GTX 1060. I'm not technically minded but can follow clear instructions. The things you didn't do also answered my "do I?" questions.
thats a nice upgrade, and thanks so much for your kind words. What is the manufacturer and model number of your power supply?
@@ThisBytesForYou Its a EVGA 500 Bronze. The new cards specs suggested a 500 Watt would be okay. Any thoughts..?
Yes that is the minimum, I would never use the minumum as the hardware you install, aside from the video card may require more. The recommendation is based on a complete system, not just the card, though they don't say what they call is a complete system. Plus a 500 means next time you upgrade it will be more expensive because you have to buy another power supply. I have some 1200 psus for 15; years going at strong, 2 x 1000 going strong for about 4 years and another 1000watts about about 2 years, buy more than you need now and save later.
Great video was able to install quickly

This video is so useful, that I literally decided to download it.
What do you mean you downloaded it?
Because if you mean you illegally downloaded it and the video helped you, you are actually hurting me by doing so. If you feel the video helped you and you wanted to watch it again, it would help me greatly if you came back and watched again, here.
Excellent. Especially that extra bit on driver install. My current PC won't boot into Win 11 and I am sure it's my graphics card so looking to upgrade.

hello there, ordered mine yesterday, i'm so hyped!
is there leds on it?
Awesome my friend, happy you nabbed one. About the LED's no, the Pulse series has always been the budget level GPU, meaning no LED's, no funky designs, no overclock, just a perfectly working, slightly above average video card. This is a decent card, especially in times like this.
Hey, I just noticed your arctic aio installed sideways is that to fit with the new ryzen 5000 bracket to allow for better coverage never seen it installed like that
good eye, thats actually due to the motherboard, check it out : czcams.com/video/fPd6KJhtWSo/video.html
I do not use a screw driver to release the locking clip if it can not be reached by hand. I like to use the eraser end of a pencil just in case it slips off. Plus, it gets better grip.

Man I installed my Graphics card before getting rid of the old drivers and got rid of my AMD drivers and had to reinstalled it again. It was a pain, but hopefully it runs better now.
it does happen, but you can always reinstall your chipset driver and all should be good. You may enjoy this video: czcams.com/video/8JuC_Dpm6-c/video.html
Excelent video.

Good video, sorry do you know any method to be able to use 2 monitors at the same time? in my case when installing the drivers if it had video output by DP and when I finish installing it no longer recognized the 2nd monitor and at the end of the installation, now I could only use the graphics via HDMI!
2 reasons this happens, they is that you are using an older standard HDMI cable, older than HDMI 2.1 (get a new cable, that is HDMI 2.1)) and the refresh rate could be too low. Aside from the cable, if you can get it work, boot into windows, with both monitors plugged in. When in windows, disconnect the HDMI cable, for lets say 30 seconds, then plug it back in. It may reappear and work but AMD likes to set the refresh rate to 59hz, and MANY monitors cannot handle it. So when you plug in your monitor, right click on the background in windows and click "Display Settings", then click "Advanced Display Settings", the monitor that appears first, make sure the refresh rate is 60hz, or if its a higher refresh rate panel, set it to its specified refresh rate, then click apply. After you apply that one, see if you see your other monitor in the drop down at the top of the screen, if you do, select that monitor and adjust the refresh rate, let me know if that helps.
Woah, amazing video dude!
I got a question. If I'm migrating from another AMD card should I remove all the AMD drivers then? I think so but I'm just making sure.
You got a new sub btw, loved the way you explain and do the reviews, keep it up!

@ThisBytesForYou ,
Hi,
I am just shy that my question is noob-ish, as I have no knowledge in PCs.
I just bought a Radeon RX 6600 Mech 2X 8G GPU for my son's PC
and, after watching this vid, do I need to do this as well or is it just, straight-from-the-box attach and install kind of scenario? 🙂
do I need to disable anything on BIOS / uninstall anything from my current setup, considering it's an APU?
my son's PC SPECS :
Ryzen 3 3200g
RAM 16 (2x8 gbs)
1 TB HD
480 GB SSD
no GPU
Maybe this will help you czcams.com/users/shortsqbKrePI6rvM?feature=share
sir my pc is ryzen 5600g dont have any graphic
and i just buy Sapphire Pulse RX 6600 today!
did i need use ddu to uinstal the amd driver?
and instal again amd driver
I go over your scenario in the video, you might want to watch it.
Zotac Rtx 2060 or this one, wich one do you recomended? Thx for the video btw
6600 and you are so very welcome my friend, so very happy you enjoyed this video.
So, the card itself doesn't have any lighting effects? Like some Sapphire cards have beautiful lighting effects on their branding text.
Also, will it be harmful if I use a Corsair CX450 Watts PSU for this? My CPU is the 5600G and the estimated Power consumption of the entire PC is around 300 Watts.
Pulses do not, Nitro's do, both Sapphire cards, but Nitro have the RGB lighting and better cooling that the Pulse's do, and the higher price tag. As for the power supply, the card calls for at least 500Watts. that does not mean it won't work with a 450, but it does mean 450 may not be enough when you get into games that pull more performance. Estimates are nice, but usually unreal.
Hey, so first of all thanks for this it was really helpful. Secondly, so in your video you turned on a setting where Windows wouldn’t try and recognize a GPU and try to “fix it”. So I have a Ryzen 3 3200G with Integrated Graphics, and I’m only installing a 6600, not removing a GPU or CPU, so I was just wondering, can I do all the stuff you did before you removed your 3060 after I install my 6600?
Always a pleasure my friend, so very happy you stopped by, trusted in me to help you, liked and subbed as well as took a moment out of your day to thank me. It means a ton to me and I am so very happy I could help you. Also, yes you can, that is a setting in DDU to stop windows from finding the driver, the card will still display with nvidia drivers, it just wont work optimally, so you can then in safemode, remove the drivers like I show you , then in regular mode, install the AMD drivers.
@@ThisBytesForYou Thanks! Appreciate the fast response, you just earned a sub!
@@dxvillz1174 thanks bud, I truly appreciate it and I thank you so much for your support.
Great informative video❤ i have a question though if i dont have any GPU pre installed then do i have to download the software you mentioned? Or just install the RX 6600 and setup the new driver?

Does it come with the 8 pin connector? Or do you need to buy it separately?
Somehow I feel the video would tell you this, you might want to watch it.
what should i download in amd driver site? the "auto-detect and install" or "AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition" sorry noob question thanks
You should watch the video
I follow your video but when you just install physically the new video card AMD rx6600, my computer doesn’t send any signal to the display.
Even if I use directly the video card with the display port.
Or the CPU Video card by connecting the HMDI of the Mother Board.
Do you have an idea of the issue ?
Thanks
So that I can help, please list the manufacturer and exact model number of the following components:
1. Motherboard - manufacturer and exact model number
2. CPU - manufacturer and exact model number
3. RAM - manufacturer and exact model number
4. Video Card - manufacturer and exact model number
5. Power supply - manufacturer and exact model number
6. Monitor - manufacturer and exact model number
Redundant I know, but many people forget to enter manufacturer and exact model number
7. Do you have ALL of the PCIE connections plugged in, and not daisy chained or pigtailed, each coming directly from the power supply?
8. Are you running through HDMI, DP, DVI, VGA, any adapters?
9. UEFI in the BIOS from Legacy. If it was set to Legacy, you will need to reinstall windows to get correct support.
10. Disable CSM in the BIOS
11. Installed latest supported chipset driver?
really good Quality

@@ThisBytesForYou done have a great day my friend
@@deeznuts.81 thanks so much my friend, I hope you have a great day as well
I just got a new sapphire rx 6600 and I want to know if it's normal for the monitor to not detect the gpu since I didn't know I had to manually uninstall the drivers before replacing the old gpu, also I'm unsure of my pci-e power connections I'm upgrading from an R9 270x, ( yeah I know, it's old), it needs two 6-pin connectors and I'm wondering if I need a dedicated 8-pin as the two cables didn't seem to be working and was wondering if it mattered at all. Also great video btw.
The PCIE cables is where its power from, if they don't work, the card wont work, I highly recommend you get a new power supply, something like this on my amazon affiliate link: geni.us/yycAA, the card requires at least a 500Watt, though I linked up a 600Watt, maybe to give you room to grow, never cheap out on your power supply, I always use at least a 1000Watt, I have had these 3 for about 10 years, never needed to buy another. and thanks for your kind words my friend, so very happy you enjoyed the video. If you like this kind of stuff, I come out with videos weekly, please consider subscribing.
@@ThisBytesForYou I have a fully modular EVGA SuperNOVA 650 watt gold certified power supply, so I should be good but I think it's the power connectors themselves since they have these extra pair of pins that dangle around and I'd a one wire plug into all the pin connecters to the gpu and it wouldn't get recognized by the monitor even though it is receiving power.
@@abyssalknight4081 well, the issue generally occurs with older hardware, motherboard, cpu, etc, being that you had an R9 270, I assume your board and cpu are a little older too, AMD doesnt play well with older hardware. If you followed my guide here on the drivers that should help tons also, using the LATEST HDMI 2.1 standard cable helps tons, this information was provided to my by AMD directly, I didn't believe it myself till I tested it.
Hi im replacing my old GPU because my current one (1050 ti) isnt working, so there is no way for me to unninstal the old drivers. Is this going to be an issue or can i simply remove my old drivers once I install my new 6600?
You will be fine, just remove it the way I showed you, but it's fine to do it with your new gpu
I have a question. I'm using Ryzen 5 3400G CPU which is it have a integrated GPU. So now i want to install my new Sapphire Pulse RX6600 GPU. The question is, do i need to download the DDU Driver?
Anyway, thanks for the great tutorial video! It very helpful to me.

What do think about 75⁰ temp while gaming in this card?
Its not bad but here are a few things that will help czcams.com/video/J5m5WBlPkfc/video.html
What if you’re running off of cpu graphics and never had a gpu graphics card, do I still need to reinstall drivers?
Do what ever you like
Thanks a lot! Do you recomend the pulse sapphire or the gigabyte eagle 3 fan? In my country the 3fan gigabyte only costs 10 USD more, thanks!
Sapphire, 100%
@@ThisBytesForYou why they are the same except the eagle just looks better
@@AH-wf5ri they are not, the GPU itself might be since it's made by AMD, but the GPU's clock speeds, memory speeds and individual components are not, each company uses their own BOM (Bill of Material) and that can many times make or break a product as well as the cooling solution (heatsinks, heatsink design, IO plate and fans), not to mention the Trixx application is best when used outside of the gigabyte environment.
Trixx does not play well in a gigabyte environment, has issues controlling the RGB lighting (I should have asked what board he had). As for looks, that is subjective. I hope that answers your question.
Hola tengo una duda, ¿se necesita quitar el internet para instalar los drivers para que no detecte windows update la gpu y los baje o no es necesario?¿ o si se requiere el internet a la hora de instalarlo?
que hice en el video
wait I'm confused can you please help me so when I open up ddu what do I do If I own an amd gpu and amd cpu I have a rx570 and ryzen 7 I'm upgrading to a rx6600
as I show you in the video, uncheck everything AMD, and also like I mention, don't worry, it will get rid of the AMD drivers.
what can happen if i dont uninstall the old drivers, and go straight for installation of the graphics card driver ?
I explain it here: czcams.com/users/shortsqbKrePI6rvM
Do you think Sapphire messed the cooling in this card? I have the same card and temps are going between 75 and 70 degrees. At the other hand Asus Dual runs around 60.
I mean it could be, things happen, but it would be only your card as it works fine for during my testing. Asus' fan curves may be lower or your card could be defective. Does the Asus run cooler in your system or a friends system?
That little thing has Display port 1.4?
That's good, but that port is better served for higher bandwidth and thus higher resolution. I suppose if you are going for really good 1080p gaming it should really do it very well.
yeah, most cards for a while have had 1.4, so it should be good, benchmarks coming soon my friend, happy to see you here.
@@ThisBytesForYou Glad to be here bro. I am enjoying the content.
I know 1.4a has been around for a while. I will be on the lookout for those benchmarks. If it is at all possible could you use the DP on 1440p and possibly 4k just to see the performance numbers.
My personal feelings about this card is that it is too expensive for a budget build in price to performance over a previous generation.
@@Cr00klynD0dger I am using DP for the testing since i am testing at 120hz, i record though at HDMI because of my capture card, so no worries my friend.
hello, planning to upgrade my nvidia gtx 760 to this for playing path of exile, and path of exile 2 in future.
Do you think my current pc spec is compatible with this gpu?

CPU Cooler Be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4
RAM Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 (32GB RAM)
CPU Intel Core i5 12600K
Motherboard MSI Z690 DDR4 Motherboard (WIFI)
PSU Cooler Master V2 Gold 750W
yes, I think you will be perfectly fine, good stuff my friend, you dont need much for that game, and part 2, you are well beyond that one too. You are good my fiend.
the motherboard cost twice as much as the 6600 now, well not all the x570s, but this EVGA. In start of 2020 I assembled an entire tower p.c build with 500. The monitor, new tower, and few peripherals does cost more to add.
Ok, cool?
@@ThisBytesForYou Thx, it was cool, but the rx560 is the biggest bottleneck, it was 110 back then. Good video!

YEAH good luck getting ya hands on one ....
And yet still people find them
@@ThisBytesForYou i tried this morning every card sold out i ended up getting a 6600xt lol red devil
@@safic9090 the xt is a better card regardless, funny you were able to find a card though, so you had good luck it seems.
what's different hynix and micorn memory in this grapichs card?
with everything they will have different IC's from time to time as they try to get the best BOM, if material costs get too high, you end up paying for it even more. So the memory I have on this card, might be different from the memory that is in your card, even if they are the same card.
whats the highest temps you got off these on load
Well, its not relevant because it all depends on your ambient cooling (the temperature in your house) how well you cooling in your system is and your fan curves, if you don't use the default fan curves, for me, maybe 78°C . My house is usually at 66°F, which is 18.8°C. So, you can achieve better cooling in your system, if you lower the temperature in your house, then play with the fan curves like I show you in this video (you have a pulse, so the lighting will not work for you) : czcams.com/video/8kfVq7Ht6lw/video.html
Then, how to get better cooling in your case: czcams.com/video/J5m5WBlPkfc/video.html, let me know if this helps.

What's the difference between downloading the 'Auto-detect & install' option and the Adrenalin option? Because I noticed in the video you downloaded the Adrenalin edition
Auto detect, auto detects what card you might have, but I am not a fan of anything Auto, especially when I know exactly what it is. I hope that helps.
What's the issue with autodetect?
@@alloutrockstar2943 it's auto, auto is a chance for it to automatically fail and do what it wants, when I select the driver I know what I am selecting and that's what I show you here so you learn the correct way.
