I never thought I’d say this but the 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel is a few thousand cheaper, it comes with leather seats, better infotainment, better instruments, and a nicer interior. Also, while styling is subjective, to me it appears that the Dodge is better looking.
William Monto Ram also has a locking rear axle.
The Ram's IFS is a piece of shit design and you have to pay for the upgraded (and unreliable) air ride system to even get a Rebel with more ground clearance than a stock 2019 Ram 1500. A 2019 Ram Rebel starts at the exact same price as a 2019 Silverado Trail Boss. Either truck's price goes up with added options. You can't get a Ram Rebel for "a few thousand cheaper" than this truck when they're similarly equipped.

I have been a Chevy truck driver for the last 30 plus years and usually it takes me a little while to "warm up" to the new body styles but I always love them after they have been out for a while and this new model is no different but I definitely like all the new features especially the attention to trailer towing as I pull a trailer with my business a lot. Great video.
I do love when the sales person dose the research about the vehicle like you did. I think this is something that every sales person should be doing. I get so annoyed when I know more about the vehicles then the person trying to sell me the vehicle. Good Job I just wish everyone else did the research too.

I hope gm comes out with a 10’ bed. Reason being, you can have a full size tool box and still haul 4x8 sheets. Even if they just put it on a standard cab or extended cab plain Jane truck. I think it would sell🤔🤔🤔

Wow 2019 Chevys finally have options the 2015 fords come with. Bed Lights/Led light on tailgate for trailer/remote tailgate/rear seat fold up with storage area. The 2011 F150 had a shoulder belt for the middle front seat. Really impressed! Lmao

Drove Chevys and GMCs all my life and loved them. This past March, I decided to try something new and got a 2018 F150. Never looked back. It’s such a nicer and better truck IMO. And now, after seeing these trucks, I’m even happier with my decision. Ram has become quite a contender and will get some serious consideration when the time comes for my next truck, but I’ll have to wait for the next gen Chevys 7+ years from now to see if I would think about going back.

Thanks for the video Chevy Dude. Very informative. Looks like they moved the front wheels up to create more cab space. In turn, this leads to a shorter and more sloped front hood. I like that. The 14-18 Silverados/Sierras have too long and too high of a hood. It makes it difficult to see over them.

Same height as you. I own a 2010 Sierra and I can see over the hood with no issues. When I recently sat in a 2018 base Sierra, it's the first thing that stood out to me. The hood is squarish, high, and long. The Ford and Dodge trucks I test drove had short hoods that sloped down, making visibility better for me...at least.

I honestly think if you like this design especially the interior than you are a fanboy of Chevy and would like a pile of crap with a bowtie on it. I drove Ford trucks for 25 years, had a 2018 F-150 Platinum and now a 2019 RAM 1500 Limited. I know both have their own set of styling that people don't like but I there is so much "cheap" looking stuff on this truck especially for the price. He even said "chincy". Keep making those aluminum digs/comments as Chevy continues using more of it. I don't think Ford has had an issue with people closing the hood on their trucks.
Scott Rosen he is a salesman so he has to make some bogus sales pitch. The truth is Peterbilt has been building aluminum trucks for years. The trailers that carry the freight are made of aluminum, drywall and plywood. So if the big boys can use aluminium then a half ton can use it.

The looks of these new trucks are growing on me. I hate the aero wings on the front bumper but i bet an aftermarket bumper mfg will fix those. Glad to see Chevy brought the crew cab half tons back to the USA. Will the entire Silverado line be assembled in the states ?

I am a gm guy, but i am not a fan of the new truck.... those bed lighting positions are in the worse locations. People who actually use there trucks for loading/unloading material, will damage those lights. And ranch noooo’s are the worse shocks you can put on a truck!
And yet even Ford uses Ranchos on their F-150 "off-road" packages. They're shitty shocks but all half-tons with offroad packages come with shitty Rancho or low-end Bilstein shocks that are worthless.
When buying a new vehicle, then a dealer slaps on an off road sticker “trail boss” or “off road” etc on it and says it’s off road capable. But yet when the truck hits minor pot holes it’s like teeth chattering or it feels like the truck is going to fall apart...

I'm Your Huckleberry your right on 5.4 with there timing chain but Chevy has plenty of issue with there v8 engine that goes in 4 cylinder mode and causing a dead hole miss fire because one of the lifters took a crap. Plus all equinox, Acadia and terrain needs a new motor and transmission because there built shitty. I work on plenty of Chevy's and seen alot of people going to Ford over Chevy.

The tailgate plastic is probably on there so you can slide things in and out easier. Plus the tailgate doesn't rust like the bed will with a plastic liner.
When a 3500 arrives, would like to see a video. Contemplating on ordering one. Am most interested in the interior, new or same style as previous years. Double thumbs up on your videos. 👍👍

Ford and Dodge have the LED cargo box lighting offering the ability to turn them on and off from the inside rear of the box. Does the 19 GM have the rear box LED switch or do you still have to go into the basement to turn on the kitchen lights? (Under Radio Cargo Light Switch)
I believe if you hold the tailgate release button with the tailgate down. I believe it will raise back up and latch close.

Sadly the front styling is the same bad design on the new camaros, if that didnt have any badging i wouldnt even think thats a chevy.....i do think their interior is much improved though, i like that.

I agree my 2017 sierra is way better then these "new" interiors. I had a 2014 Ram and it was miles ahead of the new GM offerings...A big step back in my opinion

Everbody saying they don't like it now but I promise you it will grow on you. When they first showes these new ones earlier this year I was totally disappointed and I thought they were going the wrong direction with the design. But now after seeing more of these trucks I cant wait to see it in person. Btw, if you press and hold the tailgate switch it should close it as well.
Mike my thoughts on the rear end is that the tail lights could be wider cause when the aftermarket smoked tail lights come out it could be difficult to see if a person is breaking and the front end is narrower like the Colorado and the cab looks smaller
I still think my 16 2500 dirtymax looks better but this might grow on me.
Captain Stabbin 38k on mine...GM makes the smoothest riding trucks from my experience comparing to Ford and Dodge(owned all 3 4x4) but the down side is the tow rate and def placement. The def location is ridiculous on GM! Under the hood!?! Overall love the truck.

These trucks look like they tried to combine toyota tailights and Ford's front end light design. Good video but fail on the design.
I don't see the "Ford front end light design". Ford doesn't get credit for accent LED's. Every damn vehicle on the market today has some kind of LED light strip, so claiming it's a rip off of a Ford idea is fucking idiotic. If anything, the 2018 F-150 ripped off the Chevrolet truck's headlight design. Ford copied the stacked headlight design that Chevy trucks have had for decades. Ford ripped off the prominent horizontal bar that Chevy trucks have had for decades, running from one set of stacked headlights, across the middle of the grille, to the other set of stacked headlights.
Actually, the Chevy looks like they tweaked the current tahoe/burb headlights, and the gmc looks like Ford headlights.

Every car and truck design is copied and modified. Look at the evolution of vehicles through the years. The all look similar and change together. I like the design. I like the old one too. It's funny, i remeber when the new 2000 Chevy Silverado came out. It was so different than before. Haha.
Actually 99 Silverado....but nevertheless, Chevy used to have round wheel wells, but people forget. And the headlights are more like the Tahoe/burb tweaked. The gmc lights are more like the fords.

I like some of the features such as the detailed backup cam for trailering and the wider bed for hauling but the outside they are trying to follow other manufacturers. I don’t care for the rounded fenders but everyone has their opinions on that as well as the front end with the fender wrapping around towards the headlights. The engine stop and start they at least put a shut off button but there again not a fan. I liked all the generations up until this new model.
I remember when the new 03 came out., yuk .. hate to say it, ain’t diggin this 1 either ..the gmc looks marginally better ..

The plastic part on the gate is for replacement purposes... reusable replaceable part. You always damage the tail gate if you're not careful or you scratch and damage the inside. It's nice that you can replace one or the other with having to have the gate resprayed!
I'd like to know if they updated/changed the paint. My 2017 has weak paint.
Honestly, they're very ugly. Too many aggressive and sharp design cues making for a funky shape. It seems like they tried too hard in the styling department. It makes me like the 2014-2018 generation much better, particularly the 2016 facelift.

I hate that I now have a generation old pickup but I’m glad I bought the 2018 Redline LTZ Z71. I wish they would have gone to push button start/keyless entry a couple years sooner. I’m not digging the body style of the new one but it may grow on me. My next truck will be a 2500 so we shall see.
