Decoder Installation for Audi B9/C8 airbags

This video is an instruction video on how to install a decoder on to your airbags to make a newer generation Audi Steering Wheel work on older Audi vehicles.
This allows older audi vehicles to retain their multifunction steering wheel controls which would not other wise work.

What happens with the blue wire you removed from the button harness? My best guess looking at the video is you move it to the airbag harness next to the brown ground, but you don't actually say where this goes.

Will such a decoder allow you to install the steering wheel from A4 B9 to A4 B8?
