Danjigo well it might be called song contest but at least its a big tv show.....and conchita does entertain with singing, scenario, performance and hear appearance.....so at least its always big entertainment
+Danjigo You can't see the scenography listening to a CD. The whole song was mediocre at best. Sanna Neilsen is so hot and blew it out of the water with ease. So did the Common Linnets. Sorry, but Wurst is nothing more than an overdone carnival side show bearded lady freak.
Probably so many dislikes on this because a lot of Russian men, and a lot of general bigots disliked this because they felt offended that a man with a beard was wearing a dress. Seems the most offensive thing a man can do to another man nowadays is dress like a woman. What does that tell you.
Kifogástalan hangja van és remek a dal. Az ember olyan amilyen. :( El kell ismerni hogy hibátlan a hangja és az előadása. Nyugodt és szuggesztív. Ez van! :)

Those who downvoted this video, obviously don't know how to apreciate perfection. Conchita Wurst, your talent is incredible und undeniable. I hope you have a bright future and that your flame only keeps burning brighter.
This is not disgusting, it's beautiful and inspiring. She showed us that you don't have to hide and be afraid of who you are. Be confident and rise from the ashes just like Phoenix. You are an amazing artist and person Conchita. Fight until the end and don't let those haters get to you. Love from Romania ♥
I love her song, her voice, the performance and the lyrics. I love her courage. I love what she stands for. I love her modesty and her powerful presence, and it was heartwarming to see her surprised joy. I love Austria. In the end of the day, it does not matter if people can accept her for who she is; for she is a winner and a wonderful singer. It is a song contest, after all. Congratulations from Hungary
I got my faith in humanity and musically taste back! I knew that Austria and Conchita will be the winner right after her performance in the second semi-final! I´m so thankful for your big words! I was rooting for her and I am so glad she won. Finally, people voted for the true talent and I am glad Russia gave her 5 points because I sent in a few votes to support Conchita!!! WE LOVE U CONCHITA !!! RUSSIA SUPPORTS YOU!!!
I saw this when it came out, and I'm a huge fan. Every time I watch though I am just honestly so captivated. Conchita is gorgeous, and the way that she sings and moves is very powerful. The entire performance is amazing.
Check 2006 Greece Anna Vissi Everything, all the people in the stadium was singing and Conchita said it was hers favourite entry of all time and the reason that make her went to Eurovision.
I can't believe this videos's got all those dislikes. Can't believe half the people out there still don't get it we are not all the same. We are all different. We like what we like. We are who we are and we shouldn't be judged because some of us want to have a beard and still wear a dress. Grow up...
I honestly DO NOT think she would have won if she didn't sing well. She has a GREAT voice (at least compared to the vast majority of Eurovision entrants).
I just don't understand why success in this contest should have anything at all with one's sexuality or gender identity. It's a fucking SINGING contest, so judge the contestants based on their SINGING - that's what should be focused on here.
I mean she's a wonderful singer, but worthy of winning? I don't know. I won't pretend to know, as I didn't know all the contestants. I'm just saying I hoped they judged based on singing talent and not anything else, because these days networks are trying to be almost *too* PC, and pushing people forward in competitions because of factors completely unrelated to the actual competition.
I was in the audience and let me tell you, the energy in that stadium when Conchita performed was incredible. If you claim she only won for her exceptional appearance, aren't you the one focusing on appearance rather than the music?
Congratulations, Austria!
Gay
Why do you write about it as HER?????? It is fucking HE!!!! Once the man has a cock, he'll always be a man.
he is gay and his singer too :))
powerful? this is one of the worst songs i ever Heard and europé is braindead
People need to realize that times are changing and you need to open your mind!?...If you want to degrade it is your choice! ... I do not want to constantly changing! And my kids do not want to!
I really though that even without a beard, this song would be the winner. The scenography was FUCKING AMAZING. The most epic song of this edition.
***** Of course the song is not the best of 2014's edition. But the song with that scenography is really epic.
+Darreld Studie but the thing. it's judged by the performance not the song it self.
the song was indeed the best...even if it was a clown with a dildo on his head singing it would still win!!!
I got chills several times! She doesn't even have to move from her spot and I can feel the POWER
So many dislikes. Oh my god why? She obviously can sing, pretty song with really nice meaning...why so many dislikes then?
It was not a bad song, but not the best. We all know that she won because she is a transexual. There were so many songs that should have won
She's not trans. She's a drag queen.
I don't care about her gender at all but as you said to some people it wasn't best but not bad...why THAT much dislikes then?
Probably so many dislikes on this because a lot of Russian men, and a lot of general bigots disliked this because they felt offended that a man with a beard was wearing a dress. Seems the most offensive thing a man can do to another man nowadays is dress like a woman. What does that tell you.
You know that WWE is fake, right...?
So glad this won. Queen Conchita truly rose like a phoenix!
Каралева бритвы!
Ani Barseghyan Девушка, еще раз говорю, не надо тут никого обсирать.
Agreed, deservedly won as the best performance and song of the night. Sweden and this were my favourite x
I love how it's just loads of Russians disliking this video. Have you ever thought that we in the rest of Europe voted for it to piss you guys off? :P
This is more than amazing and touching
Proud to be half Austrian! One of the best winners in the ESC history in my opinion :)
I quite agree. This could easily be a James Bond theme tune also.
Not gonna lie it was the best song
RD400D78 umm...k?
Kifogástalan hangja van és remek a dal. Az ember olyan amilyen. :( El kell ismerni hogy hibátlan a hangja és az előadása. Nyugodt és szuggesztív. Ez van! :)
Are they supposed to right their own songs?
I prefer Moustache ;p
I prefer Moustache too !
the ending sounds like the perfect james bond song
I was just about to make this comment!
This whole song could be a bond song.
I Think it's pretty obvious, it sounds a lot like a Bond song similar to Skyfall to be exact ! and this gives me an idea, i'm gonna do Top 50 Eurovision songs that could be James Bond songs !!!!
I'm glad Conchita Wurst won the 2014 Eurovision
better bond song than Sam Smith
One of the best performances in Eurovision history
What a performance. Goosebumps all over again, the power of it and the way Conchita owned that stage.
Conchita, thanks for showing us it's completely fine and awesome to be ourselves
Conchita will forever be the one who made the biggest statement ever in ESC
+MrSokk
>statement
And Michał Szpak in 2K16?
+Michi Lech I think he is in the list too, for me he was my winner at the first place of my top 😊
I feel like Jamala is a bigger deal, read the lyrics
Nope Dana International 🇮🇱❤🇮🇱❤🇮🇱
Oh! She makes me cry every time! So beautiful, so powerful - just breath taking
Everytime? Maybe go see a therapist?
One of the best eurovision songs ever! And the stage is magnificent!
Some people just can't accept that she won nice and clear. Her song got the most votes so shut up!!!
So pretty and talented. Like seriously.
+ChickenBurgers007 pls m8
omg no! :O
+ChickenBurgers007 and +Liam Holton May I ask what you mean? You seem to be saying that if a person is
heterosexual (I dislike the term 'straight') they can't find a person of the same gender pretty?
Scenario:
Girl 1: *Shows off dress* What do you think?
Girl 2: Wow! You look so pretty!
OMG WTF MIND-FREAK THE END IS NIGH!
No. Just no.
Her Makeup, the Stage, the Vocals... Absolutly fair winner 🥰 Year 2022 and I still love this epic performance....
Those who downvoted this video, obviously don't know how to apreciate perfection.
Conchita Wurst, your talent is incredible und undeniable. I hope you have a bright future and that your flame only keeps burning brighter.
thanks for reminding me to press the dislike button :D
It makes me wonder how this artist can be so much less appreciated than others like the Australian Dame Edna Everage
Best song and great message of peace - badly needed in these days!
That voice. Jeezum. Crazy good.
Nicht zu fassen wie oft ich mir das schon angeschaut habe, und bin schon wieder da. Einfach unfassbares Gänsehaut-Erlebnis. Thanks Tom
Végre egy normális ember :)
I got my faith in humanity and musically taste back! I knew that Austria and Conchita will be the winner right after her performance in the second semi-final! I´m so thankful for your big words! THIS is how to win with honor and style! Much better than last years winner song without meaning! THANK YOU, Conchita and Austria! We are UNITED! We are UNSTOPPABLE! I cried so much :') In your FACE, Putin and hateful intolerant people ;)
Absolute winner from this edition! I knew he was gonna win from the first note i heard. What great vocals he has! He sings incredibly well!!
so beautiful, im crying. the best song.
I was rooting for her and I am so glad she won. Finally, people voted for the true talent and I am glad Russia gave her 5 points because I sent in a few votes to support Conchita!!! WE LOVE U CONCHITA !!! RUSSIA SUPPORTS YOU!!!
what's wrong with you ppl? this is a great song, great voice, great performance!
Brilliant song .brilliant singer a very worthy winner ,loved it ❤
I saw this when it came out, and I'm a huge fan. Every time I watch though I am just honestly so captivated. Conchita is gorgeous, and the way that she sings and moves is very powerful. The entire performance is amazing.
Its beautiful.. im crying T^T
I don't remember when was the last time the crowd actually sang allong. BEAUTIFUL, gave me goosebumps !
Check 2006 Greece Anna Vissi Everything, all the people in the stadium was singing and Conchita said it was hers favourite entry of all time and the reason that make her went to Eurovision.
And Sanna Nielsens Undo
@@TheGoaBase Anna Vissi also had the advantage of most people in the arena being Greek
I often come back to this emotional performance. I think the song "Rise like a Phoenix" is a masterpiece, a well-deserved Eurovision winner.❤
It could be the perfect Bond-Song!
I love it, absolutely love it
callum traynor You have to know that this did not deserve to win
I can't believe this videos's got all those dislikes. Can't believe half the people out there still don't get it we are not all the same. We are all different. We like what we like. We are who we are and we shouldn't be judged because some of us want to have a beard and still wear a dress. Grow up...
The best song ever !!! in 2018 send goosebumps down ❤️🔥 beautiful voice and words
Wow, ich habe mir das echt noch nie ganz angehört bis jetzt...ich hab Gänsehaut😍🔥😭
CONCHITA IS OUR QUEEN!
I honestly DO NOT think she would have won if she didn't sing well. She has a GREAT voice (at least compared to the vast majority of Eurovision entrants).
The best eurovision song EVER...wow
One of the best performances ever!
Wow wow wow, what a voice, what a courageous woman. Amazing song, amazing voice! That's all that matters! I am very happy she won!
I just don't understand why success in this contest should have anything at all with one's sexuality or gender identity. It's a fucking SINGING contest, so judge the contestants based on their SINGING - that's what should be focused on here.
Well it is a pretty good song so I don't understand dp why everyone thinks she only one because of the gay statement ._.
They did a pretty fantastic job with the singing so...Sure yes, that being said they still won...
We haven't had a war for ages. Let us plz have this. ;)
moraZy I just meant to refer to Conchita by his/her preferred pronoun - if he prefers "he", then I'll refer to him that way. Just wasn't sure.
one of the best songs in this contest !
we are all humans . love is the answer !
This song is just breathtaking
