    You guys need a shorty/header spark plug socket that has a hex on the outside. Combined with a flex-head Gearwrench, great tool combo for plugs with headers.

    Looks like you need some upper A frame bushings,you should get more clearance after that

    I wasn't expecting to see stock cast iron manifolds on a 383! I bet you that engine was suffocating. Can't imagine how much power y'all found!

    I’d be curious as to how the paint held up over time?

    Nice car, but I noticed your upper rear control arm bushing is Gone on the passenger side! Ya might want to take care of that.. 👍 Be safe

    Too early to tell, but I assume it will need some carburetor tuning now. It's most likely lean up top now that it can breathe. Love the colors, nearly identical exterior wise to my 72 SS 454.

      I agree. We did pull a couple of plugs, they actually looked pretty good. But I do suspect tuning is required.

    I love it! I’d get rid of that clear fuel filter close to the manifold, though. They look cool, but, it’s a fire waiting to happen. Great car!

    A 15.0 @ 90 with a 383? Is he still running the stock 2.56 or 2.73 rear gears?

    • @SS454LS6
      @SS454LS6  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I'm not sure what gear it has. 3.31 at the tallest.

    Crusing doing around 55 in the country you think people can hear this exhaust a good ways away?

    • @SS454LS6
      @SS454LS6  Před 3 měsíci

      I would say no, but "a good ways" is very relative.

      @@SS454LS6 maybe 100 yards away you think people can hear it?

    • @SS454LS6
      @SS454LS6  Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@MarkLOL416 probably. They'd hear a throaty rumble, not an obnoxious roar... unless you go full throttle. Of course power and compression will have an impact. 800 hp 14:1 engine will be a lot louder than a 300 hp 9:1 engine.
