dude just changed my life. i work in construction so debris always gets in my charging port and makes even the slightest movement of my phone cause it to disconnect from carplay

I purchased the one linked in the description, and can confirm that it did not work with my iPhone. Now I have to send back the adapter and wait to find the right one. Trucks and Water can take an L for being too lazy to put the correct product link in the description that he is supposedly advertising in his video. Another L for not fixing the link after @oa2269 noticed the problem earlier.
How is the long-term quality? Is it still working smoothly?

is there no other plug to use?? Like, is there a way to conceal the adapter in the console or something? Is there a USB port on the back side of the head unit?
Only plug that it works in is that one. The other plus are just charging plugs.
@@TrucksandWater I wonder if you can do something with the cabling in the back of the head unit to hide that wireless adapter? 🤔

I got one and yes it works great but it will mot show what is playing in the dash
Okay help me out here. I just bought a fully loaded 2021 Tacoma trd off road with the jbl speakers and I bought the wireless Apple CarPlay but nothings working on it. I looked on Apple and it said the year is compatible with Apple CarPlay and I’m not sure why it’s not connecting
@@kadoooom5783 okay, make sure it is connect by Bluetooth and WiFi. I had that issue and it send out a Bluetooth and WiFi signal to convert it to wireless Apple CarPlay
Hey brother…I just tried this after I saw your video on my 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD sport and “Apple play” did not show up on the head unit or the iPhone. It was paired and shows up connected via Bluetooth. The radio I have is the factory JBL brand. Any idea?
Apple Car Play is 2020 and up. The video simply makes the Apple CarPlay that is already part of the trucks system wireless
You say specifically that this is for apple car play and you link takes us to an android wireless dongle.
Can you move this from car to car or different phones?
Ever had issues with it not reading the usb
I noticed on my model after I wash the truck the radio skips when using car play. Might be a wiring issue or a short. Just my personal synopsis. For the problem I was having. But once it dried it was fine no issues
Wonder if this would work on a 2021 rav4 with wired apple car play? Same radio looks like as yours.

I've had issues with the volume on these dongles. Still haven't found one that works.
I have a question that's not exactly related to this video - I have a 2022 Tacoma TRD Sport which has the JBL Premium sound system. It doesnt have wireless carplay and I'm ok with that. One thing that bugs the heck out of me is when Siri is speaking, reading back texts, or when i receive phone calls/use discord voice chat via my phone, the volume is soooo low and the voice only comes out of my drivers side front speaker. Is there any way around this? I'd much rather have my calls/texts/map navigation voice through all speakers. I am desperately trying to find a work around. Any advice?
Turn ringer off on your phone👍
I keep my ringer off at all times so it’s not that. I’ve grown accustomed to the low voice volume over the past year lol

Only works if ur head unit is equipped with wired CarPlay. I’m pretty sure it’s for 2019 or 2020 and up tacos.
