I've always been super amazed by how full and rich RHH's guitar sound is with a single guitar, and watching your picking/playing technique has been really enlightening, thank you Jim
So great. You're the best Jim! Got to see you in Chico earlier this year for the first time. Blew my mind! I'd love if you did a quick overview of Big Sky someday. That tune sounds like it could roll over every epic western movie ever made.
Just seeing this tutorial for the first time, this was one of the first rock songs I’d ever heard straight off of Guitar Hero 2 and one of my all time favorites, your guitar technique and style is incredible and I can say to this day have never seen anything like it! I’m excited to learn this awesome song from the one and only! Thank you Jim!
I too am a huge fan. I’ve been grinning ear to ear that you kicked this off. I’ve been playing D for dangerous for years now. Love the tone, the vibe. Everything about it. Would love to see a recording of it played thru full. The glory of you tube is we can change the playback speed if needed and pickup the small nuances. If you don’t want to breakdown the parts for us. thanks again for thinking of your fans.
Dude this is amazing. Finally getting a chance to learn something straight from the artist is amazing. See you this Saturday in Roanoke. I’ll be the tall goofy guy with the pomp.
Was a bucket list moment for me when my band The Saucer-men supported The Rev. In Adelaide Australia ! A huge influence on my song writing and playing . Thanks Jim !
In 2003 I took a road trip with my grandad from SC. I-40 is something once OK. TX was my favorite. We went Amarillo, Flagstaff, Phoenix, El Paso, Fredericksburg, Austin, Dallas, Shreveport. The entire time in Texas I listened to "Smoke em if you got em". That album just sounds like Texas to me for that reason.
I’ve been going to your live shows since 1994 I have probably seen u 60 times live From Atlanta to Seattle to Las Vegas. One of the best shows I ever saw was 1994 Fremont Street reggae and blues Las Vegas. That place isn’t there anymore but I was blown away and I’ve been a fan ever since. Flying to Portland to see your show .first weekend of February. The best in Texas. I need to get your signature Gretsch. Will you do Bails of cocaine next? Thanks Jim
I'M so happy i found this! After being able to play this riff i feel way more badass! Went to the USA only to see you perform in LA april 2017 once, it was worth it! My favourite riffs of yours is Loco Gringos Party in your head, and i love the solo of In your wildest dreams. Keep on rocking!
Man, Jim’s such an excellent instructor - I wish he’d show us how to play “The Bedroom Again”, as that song is such a good example of Jim’s technique and style! Can you guys ask Jim to PLEASE relearn “The Bedroom Again” so he can teach us all how to friggin’ play this masterpiece of a guitar song???
So GGreat player you there! I m started to play Harley benton big tone electric guitar! Nice to get new Rockabilly lessons on your site here! I m check your all teaching lessons! Merry Christmas! Sincerely: pasiaccordionist!
Welp, right after this post I'm off to the music room to learn this! It would be great to know the other half (re: the amp) and your favorite gear? Love how you transition from Travis picking cleans to that hellybilly roar! Edited: 'cause I don't know how to spell "Travis"
Hands down most underrated guitarist, vocalist & song writer of all time. Huge fan base but the world at large really has no clue! I kinda like it that way but at the same time kinda wish people would just get it already!
