Scafell Pike Corridor Route by drone - Winter hiking documentary

  • This cinematic hike to Scafell Pike connecting the Wasdale and Corridor Route is enough to get you inspired for a fantastic winter walk.
    See the summit peppered in the snow with brilliant views from the drone following my ascent from the Wasdale Head car park, all the way to the peak before switching back down the Corridor route where I missed the white arrows showing the way.
    There wasn't snow forecast in the weather report, but it fell the night before, which in April it isn't too uncommon for this to happen. It made it a little difficult to film the documentary of this incredibly beautiful part of the Lake District National Park.
    BTW, I MADE THIS INCREDIBLE BIT OF GEAR

    Enjoyed, thanks, have walked many times in all weathers, feels so wonderful in the elements of each sesson. Kip in car overnight roughin it. Love 6am starting at Wasdale then coming back down corridor route, i call the staircase as its like a enclosed very steep staircase, wish you had shown, its fab but very tough in winter, dangerous. down to the pool of giants, lunch on giants stones, the follow stream down along back to wasdale to a brew....
    Happy times. Thanks

      The Trail Hunter not done scarfell myself yet but it’s definitely on my list. You made it look unreal! Just recently been getting into getting out more. Took me the longest time to realise I love walking and being outdoors is what makes me happy. Watched your Snowdon video aswell, also so sick! I’m heading there on the bank holiday weekend. I’ve done Helvellyn & striding Edge last year. Going to try and push myself and do Crib Goch it the conditions are good. Looking forward to seeing more man. Awesome channel.

    • @thetrailhunter4469
      @thetrailhunter4469  Před 5 lety +1

      Hey, sure it’s hard to tell because there’s so many routes you could take. Ben Nevis is the longest up the pony track, but is a steady gain the whole way ending in a plateau, I’ve done Snowdon via the Miner’s, Pyg and Watkin Path but wasn’t as long and the corridor route I’ve done Scafell twice now and that’s definitely the quickest of the three. Did Scafell the other day up the Corridor from Seathwaite which was probably the easiest of the 3 but then went back via Glaramara and that was a slog with some scrambling. Hope that answers that. If you go up Scafell via Wasdale which was in that video it’s quick but quite steep from the start. 👍
