Ren did this with 2 cell phones and Samuel Perry-Falvey driving instead of filming. They are very good friends for many years.
Ren had just left all of his management after a bunch of conflict over values. So this was written, filmed and put up very quickly..just for the joy of it, without ulterior motives or business considerations. This is one of Ren's favorites and of course ours as well. He and all the boys sang it on his last twitch stream the day before he learned he had that #1 album. He even stopped it and replayed the "never had a top ten" line " just for old times sake" ! He is just such a kind soul. He also recommitted himself to the community suffering from chronic illness. He's got us. We got him. Thank you for the hugs. I'll always take hugs.

@@mothermaclean that was certainly true about Sony back when he first got sick, but this was only about 3 years ago and the issues were different according to what he has said about it.

Would really love to see you react to Crutch feat. Bibi. It’s an older song from before Ren was finally correctly diagnosed and was written after a breakdown following multiple emergency trips to the hospital. It is heart wrenching but absolutely stunning. And from one metal head to another, I think you will love it ❤

As an older chick from the states, this song was soooo relatable! Parallel childhood, experience, vices... (of course my power wasn't any kind of talent, I focused on learning and education) but if you can find something you love, it can save you. Love this so much and your reaction made me smile ❤❤❤

Always love your Ren reactions. One of my favorite things about Ren's music is that ability he has of reaching into all of our crazy mixed-up lives and then turn it on its head ("flip the script" as he puts it) and float us into a better vibe with every note and every song. I was widowed not that long ago, and when things get dark, I just put on the headphones and listen to Ren. I can literally feel my whole face relax. It's pretty magical. Hugs back atcha' Chief.

Some interesting facts about benefits in the UK. The topic is usually massively distorted by the media so... By FAR the biggest part of the welfare budget goes on pensions. The second largest part of the welfare budget goes to people IN work because so many people receive appallingly low wages. Effectively the taxpayer is subsidising employers, so that they cand exploit their employees by paying them poverty wages. Ditto lack of social housing meaning that the taxpayer is effectively pushing up the housing benefit bill, by allowing private landlords to charge exorbitant rents. Study after study, including the government's own studies, have shown that the most effective way to alleviate the housing crisis and to reduce the pressure on the housing market, for everyone, not just those at the bottom, is to build more council housing and the government would save money by doing so. It's a win-win-win situation but they won't do it for purely ideological reasons. Lastly, the government's own figures on benefit fraud, show that it's actually a fairly minor problem overall, which is totally the opposite of the impression given by the media and therefore believed by many. For instance, the amount of unclaimed benefits, by people entitled to them and who need them but aren't told about them, or don't know about them, is estimated to be at least twice that lost to benefit fraud and much of the latter is eventually reclaimed. The amount lost to fraud amounts to a tiny percentage and bear in mind that these are the Conservative government's own figures. A government that tends to exaggerate benefit fraud for political reasons!
