I have started watching your videos, due to post concussion symptoms 5 yrs ago. My blood sugar suddenly dropped, which caused me to pass out., when I fell I hit the left side of my head above my ear on the corner of the granite counter top. I wasn't passed out very long, but when I woke up I had severe pain above my left ear and a knot the size of a tangerine. I wasn't thinking clearly so instead of calling an ambulance, I crawled to the bed and laid down. Two days later I went to the ER. Said I could've had a hairline fracture, but due to swelling it wasn't clear. I know have constant migraines, neck pain and blurry vision on left side. I have not been able to keep a job longer than 4 to 5 months due to memory loss, much slower motor skills, along with all the symptoms you listed in the video. I have had tests done, x-rays, CT scans. Been to chiropractor and physical therapy. these relieve the symptoms for 2 days, but nothing permanent. I was always active and loved being outdoors, now I dread even going to the grocery store to pick up a few things. I have not watched any videos pertaining to prolotherapy yet, do you think this would help me ?

Thank you Dr Hauser. As you said perfectly, and I think this was my experience, if your neck curve is no longer correct, you are potentially very vulnerable to even innocuous events. Given the widespread misuse of devices and poor posture these days, the preponderance of people becoming symptomatic is a ticking time bomb.

    I have a question:
I had a concussion about 6 weeks ago, since then I have slowly been recovering, although I am still symptomatic (headaches). I have been able to do steady-state cardio at 80% of my HR max for 3 weeks now. Am I ready to now start doing other types of exercise like weight lifting and rock climbing? Or should I wait with these kinds of anaerobic exercises until I am not symptomatic anymore? Hope you can give me some insights!

Thanks! I've done all of the concussion rehab I could and still have some remaining symptoms. Based on my strong proprioception, lack of headaches and normal range of motion, and x-ray result my doctors/osteopaths have ruled out CCI and diagnosed a muscular issue with my neck. The thing that flares me up more than anything is working my longus colli and capitis muscles, with most of the pain ranging from my upper back to middle neck. Have you seen cases where fatiguing these muscles can cause anxiety, fatigue and dizziness? I'm working on strengthening them as they are extremely weak, but the symptoms are pretty unsettling
Also is imaging required for a consult?

Incredible. Almost 4 years out from 'post concussion' syndrome from a tbi, still not able to work, and I've always thought it's my neck but can't find doctors who do anything except try and numb nerves, inject steroids, or PT. None of which have helped. I've been doing vision therapy, balance therapy, cognitive therapy, and can't heal. My neck is always in pain. Neck muscles are always tight no matter how many trigger points injection, massage, etc. MRI shows mild bone spurs, disc deg, & spondylosis but nothing that should be causing these symptoms. I need to find someone in Utah who knows stuff about this.

I fell off a ladder in December of 1999 and suffered a level 3 concussion after hitting the back of my head. I had no short term memory for roughly 12 hours then got better, but now this many years later have been doing with mood swings, depression, getting upset about small things, difficulty sleeping, and just curious what’s going on and what I should do.

I have had strong TBI for seven years. I have recovered a whole lot now the last two years, but it went very very slowly the first five years. For me I found out that I need to massage my neck continuously, like 30 minutes to an hour a day, Jaws, throat, shoulders, cheeks, vagus nerve, etc. And the back etc. Get a TCL cell phone with Nextvision function, super important, plus Dasung paper like, etc. And get the right filter glasses, Multilens Sweden, The most important thing is to keep the neck flexible. You probably have a lot of tricks you still have not tried yet.

My son had a concussion at 4 years old. He is now 18 years old. Here in Canada, at the time, post concussion syndrome was not a condition dr's acknowledged. Therefore he was diagnosed with daily chronic headaches. He got zero concussion therapy. He also had memory changes, dizziness, and sleep changes etc. For xmas, at 6 years old, he asked Santa that no kids ever have headaches 💔 Doctors treated me like I was a nutbar because I knew everything was from the concussion and kept bringing it up. His headaches resolved at about age 8 or 9. But he still cannot sleep. Could this be still a result of his 'pre Sidney Crosby' post concussion syndrome? Now he is a gamer with a very forward head position...

Speaking of loose screws: When I cough or bend over or strain, I get shooting pain into my head and face (as well as tolerated neck pain that is more or less constant depending on how I turn my head. My Dr. says I have arthritis in the neck but no other damage related to severe whiplash and concussion that occurred several years ago. (I also have painful pressure behind my eyes that affect my eyesight) Nonetheless, he does not give me any ideas for treatment to relive this. I also have pulsatile tinnitus that is unexplained after several mri's. My greatest wish is to be symptom free for the last stage of my life. I do not enjoy life.
