Because of how a theremin works, "social distancing" has always been required ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Haha You made my day, thank you
thank you! I guess it was invented ahead of it's time!
Carolina, You are the most amazing composer I ever heard... The connection between mind, body, instrument, sound and orchestra is simple awesome! My greatest respect for your work, especially considering that Leon Theremin was ahead of his time and was a great visionary, and not many people in the world can interpret this instrument with such a level of virtuosity,. Thank you for sharing this beautiful music with the world. Forgive me my bad English, greetings from Bogotá Colombia.
Why are you showing off hehe..your English is better then some people here in English speak land
It's the instrument that comes closest to the singing voice. Thank you very much!
Sounds like this could be used for a really cool scifi or fantasy movie or game. Kinda reminds me of Interstellar or Narnia. Though I do really enjoy just listening to it.
Good news! Loki OST uses it phenomenally
@@keatonlivesvrc Wait really!?
@@melk9809 yep! Listen to “TVA” by Natalie Holt, positively haunting
@@keatonlivesvrc I will do that, thank you for the good news haha!
The game Hades uses a lot of theramin as well, it makes the ost all spooky cool
The Theremin (and imo Accordion) REALLY need to be included more in an orchestra.
i never tought i never could believe , this instrument sounds so amazing , it's sounds pretty much like the erhu, but in a stange way no strings, it must be harder to master compared to others instruments !
all respect to the theremin players. this is mind blowing !
wowzer. this is it. this is the sound.
I am so blown away by Carolina. Her playing is stirring, haunting yet warm.
Beautiful! Nice tremelo effect - made it sound like a human singer!
You mean vibrato?
@@PotatoflakeJake yes, vibrato for voice, tremolo for string...a bit of a gray area for which applies here, but that's what I'm talking about.
Oh shit that wasn’t human?
Wow!
@@pondboy3682 It's also called vibrato when playing a string instrument.
Thanks for keeping a true electronic instrument alive and performing.
This is too beautiful for words!. Thank you Carolina. ✌🏻❤️🇬🇧
I will never get over how rad of an instrument this is
1:24 and on is just beautiful ❤️🎶🎵 I can't imagine how much concentration it takes just to play the theremin
Wow!!!!
This is very beautiful thank you.
ThankYou for making a Theremin play along an Orchestra, this is beyond beautiful 💙✨
Hella ya! This freakin awesome
I’m event liking my own comment cause I’m so happy about this damn
Well done. Very well done. Bravo BRAVO! The hardest thing to accomplish simultaneously-
Freedom and a mastered spirit. This is it !
Bravo ❤❤
delightful
So hauntingly beautiful - and the blend between Theremin and the orchestra is absolutely prefect!
It's 2:30 AM and not able to stop listening to this utterly amazing piece, definitely gonna have a Sci-fi dream 🎶😮😮 She truly is a sorceress..! 😍
Love it!
This music is amazing! Composition for the orchestra sounds excellent too! I love this
This might be the most amazing sounding instrument I have ever heard, but what I love most is your facial expressions while playing. It is a combination of intense concentration and immense joy. Those two things come through in the music you deliver. Thank you.
I love the way it sounds.
I never knew this was the instrument that made that sound till today.
Heck I didn't know such a thing existed till today. 30 years old and my mind is 🤯🥰
So blissful
Beautiful
Beautiful-thank you for sharing!

Mesmerizing 😍
That's so beautiful!! Glad to see a theremin with an orchestra, and I love the orchestration!
Superb! 💚
That's frekkin amazing
So beautiful
Favorito
One of the coolest and most unique instrument I've heard.
Amazing 😍😍😍😍
C'est fabuleux. Bravo
The most wonderful thereminist I know back by an orchestra, what a delight. I only have a theremini. Maybe one day I'll have a pro theremin. Your level of control is astounding. I will never reach that (I am a piano player first) but you sure inspire passions with your instrument!
Это невероятно!💖
Love you ❤️ what a talent 😍
Thats so cool🙉. You definatley have the feel for it. Amazingly sensual to watch🙏👌
Can't think of any other instrumens more spiritual than the theremin, in sound and in its execution.
Hi this Is a wonderful performance 👏👏👏👏🌹🌹🌹
Großartig
faszinierend wunderschönen insgesamt Aspekten
Wow... I just cannot stop saying... wow...
Did anyone notice the midi controller ring on her finger? Sounds fantastic, well played!
Just bought the MOOG Therimini, love it. Great for special effects samples. You're such a pro, Carolina. Hope to be hearing more from you.
Awesome! Bowzer's Reaction Pit made me aware of your channel and I'd like to thank you for making such beautiful music!
💖💖💖
imo
Beautiful piece of work here...as always.
imo
OMG
Cool
Carolina, you've gained a new fan!
🤩🤩🤩🤩
Please upload this version to streaming platforms.
The remembrance for feeling
#carolinaeyke is epic, historical and daring.
Theremin: The body is an instrument taken literally
Cok Güzel Müzik.
At times it sounds human and then reminds us that it is not. What a pleasure to hear it trick my ears into what I think it is, when it is not. 😄
The theremin makes me thing I can evolve in a min
This sounds incredible! I love the blending between the orchestra and theremin. I am curious, do you use the earpiece for any sort of pitch preview? I have been wondering how to best find my notes without quietly playing before coming in and have never seen anyone with an obvious cable or headphone set. I can get pretty close to the notes I need without any assistance, but I would love to be spot-on! If so, what kind of earpiece do you use?
Wunderschönes Instrument, richtig gut gespielt. Von einer echt hübsche Frau^^
Grüße.
♥ขอบคุณครับ โชคดีมีความสุขนะครับผม💰
MEENCANTO SIMPLEMENTE IN.PECABLE
It's like an opera singer singing it.
Shit man, I thought it was a singer till I start reading comments...wow
Well at first I thought you know the thermometer but then I thought singers then I read no singer..
Wow
3:02 proof she see shape of sound :D
Are these public plays? Where does one buy Tickets?
Susan Wojcicki, I have this suspicious feeling that you may need to be in Frankfurt for them... :(
you are awesome. I've watch you from rob scalo's chennel. you are master
gorgeous, thank you Carolina. You've done SOO much ear training... Basically perfect intonation out of thin air. I'm curious if it's only relative pitch you use, or perfect pitch, or some kind of combination of both pitch awareness?
In my case it’s perfect pitch, but many theremin players do very well only with relative pitch :)
@@carolinaeyckvideos in another video you asked for effect suggestions, I'm amazed you use guitar pedals, in composition circles commercial effects are often looked down on- much like thereminists with the theremini, ha. You may well have the wrong kind of brain for it, but I suggest start learning csound csound.com/ , it's an open source old school software audio synthesis language most of the places that had/have "classical" music tech courses teach/taught composers. With the cabbage cabbageaudio.com frontend it's become an effects creation studio.
@@loriendn so I mean what do you do with that, how does it look like and does it do whatever you tell it?
How do you tell it?
By thought your u gotta slap it?
Not sure what’s going on here
Anywho
@@gracie99999 perhaps you've heard something like "musicians have different personalities"? The things that make someone a musician rather than something else is the way someone hears/perceives sound. Look up "Perfect Pitch" and "Relative Pitch" on wikipedia. The grand pitch awareness I mentioned is the combination of both being more than the parts. These are "extra sensory perceptions", these ones are real, very reliable, documented, and teachable.
Fucking amazing
You're absolute!
I astral project to your music
Great performance Carolina what is the ring on your left hand controlling? That is a type of midi controller right?
this is like opera but with with your hand
Wann spielst du wieder in Frankfurt? Ich kann nicht glauben, dass ich dieses Konzert irgendwie verpasst habe!
