Myers-Briggs Type Indicator: What’s Your Personality Type?
Vložit
- čas přidán 13. 05. 2024
- The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is an introspective self-assessment that evaluates how we perceive the world and make decisions. It measures our preferences in 4 domains: mental energy sources, information processing, decision-making approaches, and structure needs, each with two opposing forces. But is it accurate? Try it and find out for yourself!

I am ENTP, and I think the MBTI system should be treated with scientific skepticism, with enough studies to be researched before actually trying to self-assess your personality type. Unfortunately, the popularity of the MBTI system made it too mainstream, and many unenlightened minds lowered all the complexity of this system to the level of vague practices like astrology or mysticism.
I genuinely can't tell if this comment is a sarcastic joke or not.
Its pseudoscience all the way through, bud
I am also an ENTP, and I completely agree with you. When trying to self-assess, I found it extremely helpful to study Carl Jung’s original theory. I feel as if MBTI didn’t add much to, and even diminishes, the depth of the theory of psychological types, and it’s unfortunate that MBTI is the one that became popular instead. Though I understand why it’s popular; it’s such a simple system. And like you said, it’s been simplified so many times that some don’t even view it as scientific anymore (like @Klay_Dubya so adamantly believes). But anyway, I should stop talking before they label us as “Debaters” again XD
@@Lord_Agwen if you think you can categorize people well enough to put them into "personality types" you haven't met enough people or you have a very shallow view of the world. I wish you the best moving forward, even if you view me as some lower form just because of your 'personality type'
MBTI has solid foundation, and certainly it's no less self-assessment than the big 5, but unfortunately it has been relegated to the area of mystical pseudoscience together with all of Jung's work. Does Jung's, Briggs and Myers own types (all of them NF) in the world that values SJ have something to do with it? If one refuses to look outside their box they won't see the rest of the world.
@@Klay_Dubya No one is claiming that there are 16 different cookie cutter types of humans. That would be absurd. Cognitive functions, as the name implies, simply seeks to describe one way in which our brains work. Personally, I use it as an introspective tool to help partially understand why I think the way I do. I like finding out what makes things tick, including humans.
I meant no shade in my previous comment. I only pointed out your stance on MBTI, which you made abundantly clear in your first comment.
I've always had an issue with the dichotomy of introversion and extraversion because I don't think they're mutually exclusive. I personally have a bias towards introversion, but I've enjoyed long conversations with many different people and I've gained so much ernergyfrom being around others, yet I still would say I'm more introverted.
I have also stumbled upon an interesting perspective regarding this. There is a CZcams called *Are You Introverted or is it Autism?* by *Dave's Garage* This video references introversion with autism (as in mild spectrum).
Then you are most likely an "Ambivert", people generally don't talk about this term alot but It's in the middle between Introverted and Extroverted. Learned this in Psychology class :)
@DAN1EL125 I too learned about ambiversion as well, but I think labeling yourself with an identity may help you understand your personal temperaments, but ultimately restrict your further comprehension of how you want to interact.
Like beyond saying "an ambivert is someone who has both introverted and extroverted traits," what does that really tell you about the kind of interactions you want to have? My OP goes further into detail on how I personally like to interact with people.
Is there any scientific proof right now that shows that introverts really lose energy from social interaction while introverts gain energy from social interaction? Like in the ATP or mitochondrial level or something. Sometimes I think it has something to do with introverts sense and process more things when they're in social situations and may cause exhaustion faster, but it certainly doesn't mean that they don't crave social interactions.
@@011azr I'm no neurologist, but I do like studying neurology, so... I would say there's a pretty clear distinction between mental energy and physical energy. Much like how your muscles need energy that's derived from the krebbs cycle with ATP, your brain, I imagine, would similarly still need ATP just to function, but also would require a good balance of neurochemicals like dopamine, serotonin, GABA, and glutamate.
This is because mental energy is more commonly known as will power. Your willingness to take on additional mental load. It's one thing to engage with someone who requires no mental load like engaging in small talk "hey how are you" "good, how are you" "good thanks for asking" versus having to rethink your entire existence when someone challenges your prior beliefs. "So why do you think there's a god when millions of people suffer every day due to the circumstances imposed upon them via colonial forces that extract as much economic value as they can while leaving them penniless?" "Uhhhh, IDK."
The criticisms I see may be technically valid, but MBTI seems a very useful intro to understanding. Recently discovered it, and seeing snippets of types, guessed I'm probably an INTJ. So I took the test and got ENFP. Very surprising, eye opening, and further contemplation confirmed that I think and respond quite differently than I pictured. Helped me understand a lot looking back on my life. Who we are, how we see ourselves, how others see us, are three different people.
The problem with results from MBTI is that you'll have an unconscious bias towards looking for confirmation.
Down the line, MBTI doesn't show anything else but what you think of yourself.
The issue is in how a person perceives and how the test perceives a type
For example, if you got ENFP you mostly assisted yourself as not entirely organized and more empathetic, and the more the ratio expands the more likely for you to get typed that type
If I want myself to come out as an INFP all I have to do is increase the portion of responses related to being empathetic and understanding which could be my tendency
The questions tend to be vague and less informative than they should
INFJ here...this was spot on me....I took the test and that is what I got.
ENTP here. After many decades of struggling to understand my place or value in the world, friends introduced me to the MBTI system about 14 years ago. It was a revelation, because by learning that my personality was described meant that it was recognised, and I was not alone. I learned that I was not abnormal, but part of a common group. It was amazing.
I understand now that mainstream psychology is more comfortable with the similar Jungian OCEAN model.
MBTI is based on Jungian model, OCEAN (or "Big Five") is model popularised by Costa & McCrae, who proposed it as a light modification of Goldberg's 5-factor model (and actually became most popular, but not the only form, because many psychologists taking research on individual differences came by 5-factor solutions of personality) which developed it from the Cattel's 16PF model) and was popularised and further developed by Costa & McCrae. ;)
You speak like you joined a cult, my friend. You are much more complex than a label could ever be, I would be careful with such identification ;)
@@wisemonkeys4511 Cult - LOL😅. More complex - of course, although I'm sure some would regard the MBTI's categories as definitive. For me, MTBI was the validating launching point for my journey of greater personal understanding of my psychology, that's all. It was a revelation at the time, and the knowledge helped restore my confidence. Now, what are your thoughts on astrology? 😊😊 JK!
INTP personality 🙂✨
what hobbies do you have?
One of my kind😌😌
I have the same personality 😄
Wow, this test nailed it. I came up as ISTP which describes EXACTLY what I do and enjoy as a mechanical engineer in my career. Very neat and reassuring that I'm in a profession that matches my personality type according to this test.
The MBTI is regarded as pseudoscience by the scientific community.
My favorite quote regarding the MBTI is: "Most personality psychologists regard the MBTI as little more than an elaborate Chinese fortune cookie."
true. and its pretty simple to understand why. for each letter you reduce a spectral scale to two extreme points (there is no nuances of grey, always only black and white), and if you're e.g. in the middle of I and E, but slightly leaning to be introverted, you get a big fat I in the result. and this is done four times. so the result is also not very stabil, as one differently answered quesion in a second try might change one of the letters completly.
The thing is, I got the same cookie when I was 17 and when I was 23.
The test is not perfect, but it gets some things right.
@@mopshops Unless you are an outlier, then it's unlikely to be so changeable - which might explain why some people get the same or very similar results years apart and feel its more informative for them. I know I did after a 15-year interval. But I am more variable on the Big 5 - still similar ends of things but the facets shift a little - I think because it's more subtle or because the norms it compares you to can shift. I find the big 5 is harder for most people to apply in terms of how it might shape their experiences and behaviours, although it does have a little bit of scope for predictive factors - still pretty shakey to me though.
I started out as the INFJ=Defender Then, I took the test later and was considered to be a Scientist=INTJ. I relate more with the INFJ character type. Overall, I am hands down an introvert. I like people sometimes. I definitely prefer to adhere to my personal compass over the collective herd mentality. So with that, I am a pretty good at perceiving. Though I know how to hand down judgement separating the wheat from the shaft with precision. I consider myself to also be a thinker and a feeler. There should be a happy medium. All the acquired knowledge over time doesn't always maintain accuracy. "Brains only get you but so far and Luck always runs out." Thanks. Mystic Star Seed 777
Sometimes, what emotions can do far exceeds what logical decision-making can do. You can use this simple quote "You don't know it, until you know it". Sometimes, it's better to cut off other options and select one, putting in your efforts at full potential. Well, logicality certainly makes you risk averse but also makes you fearful of it. And eventually, you end up not beginning with your decided tasks. See, emotions work as fuel and logic as a tool for navigating the best and efficient way possible.
You: “I’m an INFJ and sometimes INTJ”
Also you: Signs off as a starseed
Me: Checks out. Main function is introverted intuition. (Mine too)
It;'s a shame to see nothing about congnitive functions on which MBTI is based
YES! I wouldn’t even say that MBTI is based of it because that would infer that MBTI added something of importance. It’s more like MBTI rebranded it
As an INFJ... my body is here but me soul is outside from this world...
my physical body is a cage (doesn't means i hate my body, i know is temporary while on earth)
everything had a pin with a point and i will searching for the detailed information.
Marinated my brain with knowledge where ever i read it or heard it, word and speech matter to my inner soul, it vibrate my sensitive soul.
Introverted, Intuition, Thinking, Persiving
what hobbies do you have?
I’m an infp 💞 (actually though, like it’s eerily accurate for me at least)
❤Me tooo
I am INTJ and I agree with the characteristics but, certainly, I have some characteristics of other groups. Interesting.
Same here I am half INTJ and half ISTJ.
I tried to find my personality types several times. When I could not pin it down . Then I asked myself a question, " do I really care about it that much ?
I never knew what the Myers-Briggs type thing was, until now. Thanks, now I know. Also, I'm an ISTJ. Makes sense. :)
I just know Korea LOVES this stuff
ofc the weeb thinks so
As a psychology student, I really like these videos.
Very happy to hear that!
Why are we here in this life? Why do we die? What will happen to us after death?
We are here by chance. Our organs grow old and eventually stop working. We turn to dust. As an ISTJ/Inspector I have gathered evidence to come to this conclusion.@@nevergiveup5939
@@nevergiveup5939 These are the fundamental questions of philosophy.
But as a psychology student you should be able to see that Myers-Briggs is not much better than a horoscope or Chinese fortune cookie.
We learn a way better personality test (Big 5 by McCrae and Costa) within the first semester of our studies.
I'm an INTJ but I can relate to almost every personality -sometimes I feel like any one of the analysts sometimes it's ENFP or INFJ etc- which begs the question why from what I've seen so far MBTI is pretty vague almost like 'birth month' stuff -and when it is specific it'll either be a hit or miss no two INTJs are the same- and I think it's impossible to put labels on humans one reason I could think of is we're constantly changing so while MBTI is not necessarily scientific it's nonetheless very interesting who'd have though all of us have so much in common -I think at some point we all thought we are just different turns out we were wrong- the only problem I have with MBTI is that our type changes with our preferences -oh and maybe description as well like if u must categorize people then being general is as far as u can go- also isn't our personality built on how we grew up like every child makes this basic 'frame' then adds or remove things as time goes on and in some cases the whole frame could be replaced (neuroplasticity) I'm convinced 15 yo me and I are completely different persons
learn functions ❤
yep check out the cognitive functions and see which ones you lean the most
INTP- They hit the nail on the head!
I'm an ENTJ. The things mentioned were close to reality. But i must mention that each person, even of the same MBTI type would be different in many terms.
Introversion
Intuition
Thinking
Perceiveing

Your vedios have perfect description, it's answer is exactly what I found on my personality type test....
Thanks for sharing!
As an ENFP (probably), I don't need experiences because of my cognitive function extraverted intuition, so they really get confused because I'm an oddball.
This is a comment before I even watch your video. I think personality tests are terrible to base your identity upon because If you do then I think you can very quickly trap yourself into a box with rigid definitions. Whereas, I also think that these tests can introduce you to new types of questions you may have never considered before and as a consequence make you reflect on whether you want to stay as you are, or if you'd like to change. I'm all for a more reflective society, and entirely against a more rigid "I'm this, or I'm that" kind of society. It's like why limit who you can be, just know who you are right now and grow into who you want to be.
My psychology class loved this video. Wooooooowwwww! *Owen Wilson voice*
I’m an INTJ, but I don’t see myself as analytical or logical. I like to have a set plan and schedule, also I don’t like complicated theories but theories that I can understand. I think of myself as more of an artist than an architect. That I might be why I scored ISFP a few years ago. I’ve always been drawn between thinking and feeling so I am somewhere in between INTJ and INFJ. For the most part, I make decisions with my heart and am a pretty sensitive person. I love to think of my own ideas but find it hard to come up with ideas sometimes. I’m sure many people have this problem where they see they have other qualities in some other personalities
Since MBTI is measuring 4 metrics in separate terms, and labeling each possibility as a type, the theory holds few waters with swingers. If you are swinging in two or more of the four metrics, you cannot really make use of the labelled type. However, you can dive deep into the details of each metrics and seek better understanding.
As an perfect intj your plans are useless unless you go through the whole thing.... I prefer complex things and find immense satisfaction in making them easy like honey.... I make the best plans and give best advices... But I am a bit lazy....
I happened to fall in between all except judging and perceiving, I am more of a perceiver.
You briefly mentioned that INFJ was the rarest personality type, but if the contents of a recent article are correct, that these statistics are outdated and ENTJ is currently the rarest as of...2018 (probably). Here's a full video if anyone's interested in it. czcams.com/video/PFPeGSdbpVE/video.htmlsi=fPpRBK03aFIxOMGF
As a infj I only met 2 other infjs in my entire life
I am ESFP and I'm happy because it is really accurate to my personality...
I like your point of view. Thank you for sharing.
It's pretty hilarious since before the test I checked each one and related to INTJ the most and in the test I also got INTJ
This may be an entertaining test, but I recommend not treating it as more than that. Models like OCEAN are heavily preferred by scientists as they take into account the spectrum people are on for each trait and don’t offer such detailed predictions into thought processes of the individual. Most people are near the middle on lots of these traits so they aren’t useful to measure. Sociology is a soft science, but this test doesn’t even meet those requirements.
The OCEAN thing this person is talking about is the Big Five personality traits, just in case anyone's wondering. It stands for Openness; Conscientiousness; Extraversion; Agreeableness; and Neuroticism. There's a test you can take online to see your rating on these five traits.
Well said!
That’s why all the real MBTI is based on cognitive functions. It seems to be much more accurate than the version described in this video. I would consider the two completely different systems with the same typings
@@WeavileiscoolIsn’t your reliance on a cognitive function both a spectrum and subjective however? You could be an extremely average person and get typed into a personality you barely fall into.
Informative 😃
I took two different tests back when I didn't know anything about the mbti so it could be more accurate and both came back as INTJ. So naturally i proceeded to learn everything i could about it.
Can I use these videos and add my voiceover in Hindi and create a new channel ? I understand I have to give attribution .
I saw myself in both the INFJ and INFP categories, although there is still spectrums I'm sure, and the caring aspects of my personality tend to waver with who I'm dealing with. Very interesting stuff though. Just wanted to understand why I have certain interests and hangups with some things. Thanks for the video!
Infp and Infj are very different and like night and day so I suggest you to check out cognitive functions. Infp is Fi dominant and Infj is Ni dominant
I have the same problem, and yes I looked up the fi and ni dominent cognitive functions. This test is self assessing, but the examples they give are always hard for me to relate to, so that's a thing - not everyone works in a corporation. Isn't there also a problem if you are not perceiving to see your own behavior objectively. And when they say 'others see you as...' well then forget it.
I think im all of those , depends on situations im intro or extro , sometimes i like rules sometimes i like to make my own , i feel im ambiguous to all personalities
Am i suffering from multiple personalities disorder 😱
INTP-T there. Thats so true lol but Its a curse... this approach to the world makes being happy very hard...
As INTP myself, I would agree with you few years back, but don't worry, after you drop on the bottom and know how bad place can the world be, you will feel real happiness as the world starts to surprise you mostly positively. I would argue our type has it better, because we (probably) can reach it faster than other types = more of truly happy lifetime. :)
I think it would be far better to focus on the 8 cognitive functions when determining your type, rather than using the letters (Like Introvert vs Extrovert < than Extroverted Thinking vs Introverted thinking). It gives us better understanding, since people are bad at self-assessment.
Also, the extroverted types may be introverts by nature, sometimes! The only thing that determines the first letters is whether your primary cognitive function works inwardly or outwardly! (Like, Fi -> introverted feeling; Fe -> extroverted feeling)
I am INTFJP. Sometimes you can replace the N with S, but I should NEVER be replaced with E
Oh, really?
Well, have fun with that I guess
For introverts it's less of recharging alone and more like less processing on top of what's already going on in our heads. Professor had me take the test for a few semester. Definitely INTP, my score depend when I noticed I'm not patient just able to entertain myself with my thoughts/ideas.
always thought it was bs but understanding it makes it fair everyone is attracted to this traits on a spectrum always one more than other i do think its kind of limited though people differ as how much one is closer to one trait and far from other in the end they could have same type but personalities could still be different
As an INTP i think it actually made any sense. I took the test 3 times(few months gap each) and still got INTP BTW. I have this acquaintant that has the same mbti as mine. And I think we really have something in common (It's not 100% the same but still we have in common). My brother also took the test and he got ENFJ which explains why we fought so much. I guess you're not 100% similar to the people with the same mbti as yours cuz when you took the test you could actually say that even you have the same mbti to that people, there's still different between the two of you because of the percentage.
I hope you understand😅😅 english is not my native language
ESFPs are vivacious entertainers who charm and engage those around them. They are spontaneous, energetic, and fun-loving, and take pleasure in the things around them: food, clothes, nature, animals, and especially people. ESFPs are typically warm and talkative and have a contagious enthusiasm for life.
My personality type is perfectly fiting 😩💗
As "ISTJ" i woudn't rec this rather vague/shallow video for determining personalities but instead tests with many specific questions like e.g. idrlabs.
It seems interesting, but the statements are too vague and feel more like what you'd like to hear than what you really are. A case study of the Forer effect. Maybe make a video about it? : )
In the Cover picture when many personality types avator have some important professional attire the INFP guy looks like "Ahh I got nothing".
As an infp, I can confirm, I do in fact "got nothing"
well, I am an INFP musician , I never wrote lyrics and all I care about is the dopamine produced by the song and that's why I also produce music and dance
Now the point is that I am neither an idealist, nor a poet but an ennaegram 4
This concludes that , if most INFPs are poetic and idealist like ennaegram 9 ( Bob marley, keanu reeves, Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Aurora) , it's not surity that there are no INFPs other than poets and idealists there are INFPs with ennaegram 4 also ( me, Charlie Puth, Young Thug, Alec Benjamin, Kurt Cobain, Sia Furler, Melanie Martinez)
Who just care about expressing our feelings through pleasing music rather then what message or meaning it convey 😏
Big words: extroversion/introversion, sensing/intuition, thinking/feeling, judging/percieving
What if I dont have any answers to those questions?
This cool theory is like having miopía for now, we need to investigate more to be able to wear glasses and see more of the truth. This knowledge could help us to know more about kids and ease their path to success.
Took the test at work, got ENTP. Took it at home and got INFP.
i took mbti test before and also this time i got intj, still i feel i am not😭
I very rarely comment on youtube (and generally on internet), but I'd allow myself to copy my answer to the question about relevancy of the MBTI asked below.
MBTI, even though it's very popular COMMERCIAL model, it's unscientific one, lacking the hard evidence behind it due to breaking basic rules of measurement methodology in psychology, and thus making it no good in representing the reality of human personality structure (the Jung model of personality, while very important and influential in the history of psychology, is very obsolete). Myers-Briggs (both mother and daughter) didn't had any formal education in psychology (well, very unfortunately "zeitgeist" wasn't very easy in terms of allowing the woman to participate in science back then) and when they were developing model and the measuring method, the psychometry as a part of science wasn't really a big thing yet.
The consequences are, that tools based on MBTI have rather poor psychometric properties - scores shows unstability in time, scales didn't differentiate the types well enough, and the mere theoretical construction of them, based on dichotomous division of traits doesn't even make it possible to allow good representation of distribution of them in society (which, by assuming their universal and natural character, should appeal to the central limit theorem and thus should approach a form of the normal (gaussian) distribution, not dichotomous one).
In terms of research on human personality, much better choise is the "Big Five" (called alternatively the "OCEAN", from the first letters of identified meta-traits), which was popularised by Costa & McCrae, who proposed it as a light modification of Goldberg's 5-factor model (and actually became most popular, but not the only model of this kind, because many psychologists taking research on individual differences, at the end came with 5-factor solutions of personality meta-structure) which developed it on the basis of Cattel's 16PF model, who identified 16 personality traits - note, that traits is not the same construct, as the types, as in MBTI, in which we have only 4 traits - or, better said, dimensions, which stretch between opposing traits and allows us to interpret the scores gained in questionnaires measuring those in terms of "intensity" of those traits.
Of course, all of these tools based on self-description are subject to distortion caused by many factors, one of which the more important ones could be the self-insight and self-image we hold in our minds, which does not always corresponds with the actually observable behavior or, could even take the opoosite direction, and make people think of themselves in some way because of how they behave, even though their behavior could be an effect of external factors, not necessarily the internal ones (as which we see the construct of personality).
(I'm psychology researcher and academic teacher in the areas of psychometry, methodology, diagnostics methods and research on individual differences, if that would make my words a little more trustworthy).
Huh, Neat.
interesting. i might have a go at the big 5 ocean thing. thanks for the info
istp.. surprised it guessed me spot on
The problem i have with my identity would be with OCD, I remember with feeling but experience thinking....
We judge someone's MBTI based on information circulated across the internet, and not realising who they really are as people, what they really want to be, how well they treat others based on their interests and their environment, etc.
Before calling out someone's MBTI, we need to know what are the 8 cognitive functions, namely Si, Ni, Ti, Fi, Se, Ne, Te, and Fe, why are they like this, which part of the brain in a person is dominant with either of them, etc.
Now, In my understanding, Xi and Ye are complementary and so are Xe and Yi. Here Xi, Xe, Yi, and Ye are cognitive functions, where X = S, and Y = T, F, and if one of Xi is dominant, then one of Ye is auxiliary _(not recessive for a reason)._ This would also apply to Xe and Yi.
An INFJ is Ni dominant and Fe auxiliary, whereas ISTP is Ti dominant and Se auxiliary.
Each of the cognitive functions mentioned earlier carry unique meaning. The more you discover about them and the more you find them in each person you witness, the more you would know about them, and the easier one would point out the real character about a person.
Also, i = introverted and e = extroverted.
None of us are 100% introverted or 100% extroverted.
We need not call anyone as an introvert or an extrovert. Guess what, A person who's more of an introvert dominated has an auxiliary extrovert within himself, whereas an extrovert dominated has an auxiliary extrovert.
I am ESFP, your test makes me ENTP. I dislike your missing awareness towards cognitive functions. Feeling does not mean seeking harmony, while seeking justice is an exclusively value based topic. Logical thinkers wouldn't care about injustice. Also if you are intuitive or sensor doesn't get determined by if you prefer theory or practical experiences, but by if you communicate more detailed & concrete or general & abstract.
For someone as me for overthinking so much and my personality to be INTP thinkers
MBTI is a useful framework for analyzing and communicating psychological theory and behaviors. Much like quantum mechanics or string theory... useful, but not actual reality, and certainly not perfect.
But INFP characteristics are true to me..
As an ENTJ I feel we are heavily stereotyped but then again mbti is a wide generalization and a mere tool to quite vaguely understand a person and the way they work somewhat. I mostly like knowing mbtis as it gives me a small glimpse or a vague idea about how to be and carry the relationship with one
One can not give you all the answers you need for a successful and long relationship is truly all about the two people and if they truly want to be together but I get what your saying I'm just saying nothing anyone says or write will ever make us (someone's) relationship long and happy !
Years ago, I took the test and it revealed I was an INFJ. I recently took the test this year and I am now an ISFP.
the test isn't accurate ur MBTI can't change
lol. since I fall into all the categories of Introvert personality and some extrovert personality. Then what that's make of me?
How much of cultural conditioning effects how we behave? How many cultures encourage and reward men and boys for displaying certain traits and discourage others? So to me this all seems akin to horoscopes with the exception of being able to choose which one you like then feel secure with this because some physiologists identified that we have traits.
I'm an ISTJ, and it's common for people to confuse us with INTJs. On the other hand, there are many individuals who identify as INTJs, yet some may exhibit traits of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) and desire the perceived status associated with being an INTJ. It's important to keep in mind that INTJs make up only about 2% of the population.
I was intp most of my life but have become infj-t as I got older
myers-briggs is not stable at all. you might change your so called "personality-type" within a few days, actually.
I Litterally do not know. I used to be FULL ON Infp and laugh with all Infp jokes and 100% saw myself as an Infp. I didn't have many friends.
I used my gut feeling
I had many more emotions than thinking
And I didn't organize anything
But now 😢
Now I'm an extremely loud person and I talk ALOT and I have alot of friends and I get energy from people.
I like looking at things sometimes just as they are instead of thinking '' ooh in the past a hardworking builder mightve used this hammer"
I am kind of more logical when my friends start talking about feelings but I do understand them
And well I'm not neat at all but I like it when they are...
I'm having a crisis between these personalities
Enfp
Infp
Isfp
Infj
Ok yeah Ive checked all the personalities and I don't fit with any of the T's but i still feel pretty logical these days. And I have friends to compare enfj, isfj intj, intp, Esfp. And I'm nothing like them. However my friends of the other personalities I feel like I have in common with all of them...and with me overthinking myself so much I thought. Infj maybe? But like bro I'm not neat. And I'm dating another Infj and like. We are really similar but not? I wrote poems and she doesn't understand how I do it. I don't understand how she forgives me for the things I say cuz im Really impulsive. She says im her therapist ? Which I don't understand 😢? And the fact that I'm trying to figure myself out so much probably means I'm an introvert. And the way I'm trying to puzzle it all prob intuitive. And I'm feeling... And I'm not completely organized or consistent in actions.
So im probably an Infp who's changing and doesn't understand it at all and is now in a 16 personalities identity crisis.
But I watch vids on Infp now and I'm not as Espresso depresso or antisocial. I also don't really relate to those vids that much anymore... And I usually don't introspect as much anymore... Maybe cuz I already know myself? Wait that's contradictory...
help
According this theory, I'm definitely schizophrenic 😂
Very educational, this can actually give one a better understanding of different personalities in varied settings.
I am an ENTP I think the personality test is true but not precise, You can not include 8 billion people into 16 personality
You can, there's just an existence of a wide variety.
Ofcourse and one person can have two or more of these types and not fixed to one type !
@@3Helium3
It is true, the test itself can not be 100% precise, like someone who lived in the war can have the a test and get the same personality as the one who lived peace, you feel me
@@ahmedsaqawemaki2766
With all due respect, people can not have two personalities, unless they were schizophrenic
INTJs should be called "Strategists" or "Masterminds."
I identify with about 80% of those personality types and 100% of the traits ahahahahah
my characteristics are of INTP but i got an ISTJ on the test
I'm an ENFP-A. This system is very interesting
I’m ENFP-A too and I agree
@@Kae_lina. Cool. Do you think there's a personality type that's more common than others? I feel like it can't be even because humans are never fully even, except when it comes to gender o guess. (Men and women are 50-50 split in most countries.)
@@avivastudios2311 Yeah, there are common and rare types. INFJ, ENTJ and INTJ are the rarest I believe, I'm not sure about the common ones
Not taking jab at anyone here in the comment section been skeptical and or unsure of their labels. But as a defaultly skeptical Introvert, INTP's (to which is what i am) are in fact the only one's on here who would feel as though their label is shockingly if not terrifyingly accurate. Especially the part where we completely have no need for other people's mental stimulation and or physical interactions (almost autistc even). And as a result, making us obviously always hard to read by others. I mean, we always act if we hate this in people faces, but the actual truth is, we secretly love and relish the idea, the thought and or even the reality of been hard to read and or misunderstood by other people. It's somewhat like that of a metal slash behavioural forbidden fruit to which we just can't help but chew on maniacally only in private.
And sure, we can definitely see some reflection and or feel some kind of remnant of ourselves in other labels, espcially those under the introvertion umbrella but, yeah. You get the idea:

I'm skeptical about this method, it's not valid scientifically, it's like astrology and pseudo science.
But personally, in this method I can say that I'm accurately an ENTP, personally I love discussion and debating about theology, philosophy, and also has a variety of interest to music, science, martial arts and combat sports, engineering, and many more ideas. If I'm not mistaken, I'm a polymath for having various skills ( not to brag ). And also I'm an extrovert, wanting to discuss my idea to almost everyone. I also prefer intuition or speculation because I don't believe that we people already know the facts and reality, especially the accepted theory by many that they thought as real. I also prefer thinking rather than feeling, as a human and thinker, we need to be rational and not dictated by our own emotions that leads us to unforgivable mistakes. I also prefer perceiving because I'm not the type of person who plans my future and organized it, because I discover myself that my interest will always increase especially if there's something that hooks my interest and something that gives me bore. I can't predict what will hook my interest next, that's why I'm happy to accept the unpredictability of life. I also believe in destiny and freewill, and I can prove it to those who ask me to prove it.
But again, I'm skeptical about this method even though it accurate says that I'm an ENTP, I don't believe that this is the facts and most reliable because I don't believe in reliability ( but I make consideration ).

INTP
I don’t quite fit any of these. But then again I don’t understand what I want from myself or the world in general
Hello! You seem to have an interest in child-rearing, just like me. On my channel, I share valuable tips and experiences related to parenting. Maybe you'd like to take a look and get some insights. I would really appreciate hearing your thoughts.
He didn't delve into Cognitive Functions? The myers briggs index is based on the Jungian system where there are 16 functions, out of which you use 4 in order of preference and 1 you're oblivious to. The order of these determines your typee!
An INFJ will seem extraverted because their feeling is extraverted, but its in the second function place. A mature INTJ will feel morally strong and thus not too logical because of their introverted feeling in their 3rd slot.
I,E,F,T,N,S,P,J is a horrid overgeneralization
I'm an ENFJ, a giver and my biggest weakness is to truth people easily 😅
What about EITJ
I am INFJ
Am getting more of an ENFJ
saved the best for last I see....
INFJ here! Where’s my other advocates at.
It shows no darkness, we are all interesting people who wouldn't harm a fly. Its amazing anyone ever gets robbed , murdered or heaven forbid some of us might go to war. Because according to this, those people don't exist.
My three personalities thinking about if they have a room for a fourth:
Shall we accept ENTP in our place?
ISFP-T. adventures. Although I watched a video on INFJ personality type and relate to it as well.
A lot of people are 70% of this stuff, I don’t believe these are good sets in full but it’s a good start,
It’s hard to box up the human mind because most people can change their mind.
I can't find mine at all 😢. Am I really just a terrible person??? All of these are so positive
girly you are ESFJ or ISFJ
@@olaf-chan-728 If someone could type me that fast I’d be very happy
honestly the whole thing is lacks scientific evidence. anyways each type has negatives traits as well as positive ones
I can't decide whether I am a INTP or ISTP

Ok
I love your channel, and I’ve always used your videos as references in my university classes.
However, as someone heavily interested in MBTI and have dived deep into the framework, I see that you have fallen into the mainstream view of the test and typology.
The video does not refer to the 8 cognitive functions at all- which is the actual framework behind the 16 types.
Describing the types this way impoverishes the theory and figuring out one’s type becomes too simple and dichotomous, when in fact, it is very complicated.
I hope you make later videos in which cognitive functions are referred to even briefly.
I recommend these channels as references: @LoveWho and @DearKristin
Thank you for commenting! :)
i'm an ENFJ-T kind
i personally am ESFP
Really disappointed to see this given any credance. Would be much better to stick to models with more scientific backing.
indeed. Big-5 by McCrae and Costa for example
I am stuck between INFJ, INTJ, and INTP... I like organization and structure but I am naturally unorganized and scatter minded (i need structure to function or I will feel like Im losing my mind if things are unorganized or left unfinished... but I procrastinate a lot). I prefer solving problems with logic and objectivity, but am very sensitive, especially to criticism, and cry easily. I'm honestly not sure. No wonder the video says they are just vague categories...
Sounds exactly like me. I have autism and adhd and so they counteract each other like this 💀💪
@@baileytt06 u might be onto something… (I also have adhd, haven’t been diagnosed with autism yet but I suspect I have it)
INFJ or ISFJ fits you ❤
@@olaf-chan-728 honestly, idk at this point 🤷♀️, but I took a cognitive functions evaluation again, and its definitely not ISFJ, but might be INFJ due to Ni and Fe being the highest score. Thanks for your input!
I have trouble finding my type too and holy shit, that second sentence is literally me?? The struggle and the panic attacks I get when the day is over because I didn’t get anything done but still I procrastinate anyway? Like why?! I thought I had to be either ENFP, ENTP or ENFJ but I test as various different types like ESTJ, ESTP, ESFP, ESFJ, ENTJ (which I don’t think I am but who knows).
Your statement of thinking vs feeling is the exact other way around for me. I am not sensitive at all, I rarely cry and I lack compassion, guilt and many other things, yet I’m supposed to be more of a feeler. I need a little help here. As for problem solving, I don’t even know how I do it. I just randomly get an idea and it works, no personal feelings/values or logic involved, just spontaneous thoughts maybe?
I really want to find out who I am but it’s just so dang hard when sometimes you relate to both/everything at the same time and sometimes to neither/none of them.
i got XNTJ
IT LOOKS LIKE I'm ISNTFJP 😂😂
