best bang for the buck. The rider has all the control, different to other bikes. After 41 years, I am walking away from Yamaha. I ordered this bike on Saturday. Sadly, I will only receive it by mid Feb to mid March 2024 in NZ. I was about to buy the Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX, when this bike was launched on EICMA 2023. GR8 looking bike. Suzuki really stepped up their game to compete with the overpriced BMW 1000XR, Ducati Multistrada and Yamaha Tracer 9 GT + with it's SENCESLESS RADAR. It just simply doesn't work in motorway/highway, or whatever you call it in your country. In NZ, cars will cut in front of you when the gap is not even big enough. The bike then will brake sharply to avoid an accident, and then the car behind you will hit you. It just simply doesn't work in NZ. If your budget doesn't allow this, I still think the Kawasaki 1000SX is also a gr8 deal. NZ is an Island with thousand of kilometers of twisty coastal roads consisting actually of 2 main Islands. North and South island. We do not have hundreds/thousands of km of off road like AUS and the USA. This bike is perfect for NZ. I am going on a coastal tour in mid Feb to Mid March 2024 in NZ. Hopefully on my Suzi. LIFE IS A JOURNEY...ENJOY THE RIDE. 🛵

I have been seriously considering the gsx-s1000gt+ but this looks even better for a taller rider, Suzuki is really stepping it up 😮(my personal opinion)
I've been eyeing the GT model for a while but the GX looks like it's better suited for my riding needs. I'll wait and see the reviews to see if it's a good 2-up bike but still, great work, Suzuki. This may end up being the first Suzuki I've purchased in my 45 years of riding.

Damn it! I just got the GT at the end of last year and love it! BUT, this is the type of bike I wanted after my V-Strom 1000!
Rear rack, better passenger seat for my wife, hand guards so I can put my handlebar muffs on for cold weather riding, centre stand and has all the power of the GSX S!

just a note, center stand is a optional extra and also the premium seats.
@@2631Fred Just like the V-Strom. When I bought my V-Strom 1000 in 2018, the centre stand was an extra and well worth the $250. Seat I could care less. Stock is fine.
Versys 1000 is amazing but outdated design imo. Tracer 9gt+ is amazing. Honda has to make what suzuki has made but with the africa twin engine. The competition between 2, 3 and 4 cylinders would be amazing. Ps- this suzuki looks stunning and "light" (232kg)

Honda is coming with this type of bike with current Fireblade engine. Should be good.

Brembo brakes, semi active front & rear suspension, 6-axis IMU, 150+bhp, £14.5K, large colour screen, hard case luggage pannier option, QS, Adaptive Cruise Control, on-the-fly adjustable windscreen, cornering lights... sorry, was talking about my 1290SAS, the GX doesn't have those last three features. Suzuki, you didn't even produce a bike to match my 2 year old KTM. I'll give you the GX looks prettier than my SAS, but that's about it. I REALLY wanted a better bike from you for 2024.

The XR will hold a stronger residual on paper making it cheaper on PCP this does look good but 14k + panniers is pushing it. I'm after a move after 3 GS's but now they're out of budget, this does look promising let's hear the 'independent' reviews and not the paid jurnos sound like

Why would you say that? The rack is there already. It can be converted or removed for another solution for a top box. But not that you’d be ruining another bike’s beautiful lines by doing that, or anything… 😉

Japanese bikes again
Another Versys 1000 clone. Kawasaki invented this type of bike but they were way ahead of the consumers. It's basically a more comfortable version of the traditional sport tourer. I hope people will be honest with themselves this time and stop pretending with the adventure non-sense.
