  • Hi, my name is Olivia!
I was born with a rare genetic condition known as Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS for short). Living a normal life with this condition while receiving proper treatment and support is just about as rare as the condition. EDS causes a multitude of secondary conditions and with each secondary condition comes complications. In return this causes many medical professionals to reject patients that live with EDS out of fear from the unknown. This causes strain on ones mental health.
My goal in life is to help those that struggle with mental health by becoming a motivational speaker as well as raise awareness for EDS. I came to know of my life purpose through a miraculous experience that brought me faith. The struggles of this world are big and try to tear me down but my God is much greater and beyond the dirt of any planet.

The Airline should have reimbursed hotel costs 4 all

They sent e-mails out to all the passengers so that they could get the cost of the hotel and any extra expenses that any passengers had due to the diversion. I think they should’ve credited everyone when we all went up to get our flights corrected just to get back to where we should’ve already been but I am at least glad that they reimbursed everyone afterwards.

I am in the process of getting an EDS Diagnosis but Will travel by flight for 12 hours and it is unbearable because having to sit up for that long really hurt and it sinext to impossible to sleep, is there like anything I could get when I travel by plane if I get an official diagnosis?

Getting a diagnosis won’t change your flying experience. You might be able to sit in first class without an additional charge, depending on the airline and your needs!

@@OliKeepingTheFaith That is actually really nice to hear because I would really need that :) The annoying part is because the medical system is taking forever so I have not been able to Get an official diagnosis yet and likely won't get it before I will have to fly again but it is nice to see that it might be better eventually because I love to travel

Getting a diagnosis might give you some relief from closure and you might even feel like you’re better respected by the healthcare system but it eventually taught me that I was better off without it. That should actually be a whole video I talk on because so much has changed since I’ve started my channel and spoke on my diagnosis. Anyways, it’s important that you reach out to the airline ahead of time (like ASAP) and inform them of the accommodations you’ll need to meet your needs, otherwise first class will be sold to people who payed extra and they will not accommodate you. You should also ask your doctor for a note just in case the airline asks for one because many places are getting much better about only accommodating those that truly need it. Once the airline approves your accommodations, keep the evidence! If it was by phone, request an email stating your approved accommodations and new seat number on your ticket. Don’t hang up until you confirmed that they sent it and changed your tickets. I hope this helps and good luck!
