The use of the tools for the pine cone is so creative :D I would have never known that one could use the snap tool for rotations. It definitely saves time when it comes down to snapping the vertices xD thank you for demonstrating these cool tools :3
Hi for this one I actually just hit it with an automatic unwrap and it turned out fine so I left it. As for the texturing I just slapped on a material from Substance Painter. Maybe I'll consider making another game asset workflow series when I get more time for you guys. In the meantime the best texturing tutorials I've seen so far are from the Substance CZcams channel. Check it out if you haven't cause they are great.

Thanks! Yes snap rotation is very useful especially when you take into account you can modify the values to your needs.

I'm not sure what you mean by name brands but I think they are also known as conifer cones.
