    It is cool how they did design the box for people who have disabilities. How many companies take a effort to redesign packaging for people like that.

      +EmoGamingXD They put to much emphasis on the packaging and this so called research on the loop. Research money from the loop should have went instead to disability agencies that help them financially. Plus the design of the controller is still flawed because of all the different cords that plug into the back. MICROSOFT:We must make the box easy to access because we know how hard it is to open a box Disable person: I cannot get these f---ing wires plugged in (proceeds to throw it in closet with their Kinect 2.0)

    So many comments missed the point of the video. Yes, it's about the box. This is because they're showing that the box was designed to be opened by people with impaired mobility. People who don't have the dexterity that everyone else has.
    If you want to learn more about the controller itself, Microsoft released a couple of videos about them a few weeks ago. Just look those up.

    • @smexehcougah3
      @smexehcougah3 Před 6 lety +32

      Well, the product isn't very well explained in the video. What the adaptive controller is really meant to be is a hub through which you can connect your own devices to create a method of control for video games that works best for you. So you could for instance hook up three sets of foot pedals from Rock Band or a racing game and then you would have six pedals by your feet to control your games with.

    The packaging is exciting to see as not only being accessible, but also being engineered to use less plastic and fewer bits that are hard to recycle or break down when thrown out. It is awesome to see good in multiple ways come out of a large company. Many larger companies care only about the bottom dollar. Here Microsoft responded to a need that is within a smaller subset of it's customer base and poured a substantial amount of money into research and developement for them not only in the product, but in packaging as well.

    I wish games would go back to allowing the option to switch off or on...to when playing first person games, to choose to turn off the "duel joystick" function, because mentally and physically, I cannot do the double joystick to walk...I need to be able to use one joystick to walk around, a lot of games used to allow for the option, now most games , are set up to where you have to use both joysticks, or a joystick and the D pad to walk around and turn..... please start back putting the option, to use a single joystick to do all your walking, , I’d love to play all these shooters and such if I could have the option to just use one joystick for my walking ahd moving.......and that second joy stick for the occasion where you want to look up or down... I got physical and cognitive issues, to reason why I can’t do the double,e joysticks just to freaking walk,

    Mark clearly is from the packaging department because he has no clue what to say about the products, nor was he briefed or given notes on the product itself. I know the point of this video was to show the new accessible packaging but people want to see more info about the product itself.

    All of the great work on the packaging, but when it comes to adding auxiliary controllers you still need an extremely difficult to manipulate headphone jack. Not using magnetic power and data connectors was a huge failure.
