Xbox's new Adaptive Controller for accessibility first look - czcams.com/video/f4J3TH-WOm4/video.html
where is the vr headset for xbox i don't care for this
It is cool how they did design the box for people who have disabilities. How many companies take a effort to redesign packaging for people like that.
It's about the same amount of companies that would think to design something like this.
+EmoGamingXD They put to much emphasis on the packaging and this so called research on the loop. Research money from the loop should have went instead to disability agencies that help them financially. Plus the design of the controller is still flawed because of all the different cords that plug into the back. MICROSOFT:We must make the box easy to access because we know how hard it is to open a box Disable person: I cannot get these f---ing wires plugged in (proceeds to throw it in closet with their Kinect 2.0)
1☆ I couldn't open the box.
Randy Bradley so you can go and help the Syrian girl who was weeping yesterday. It's not that they don't help. It is just that they do the help in the ways that are feasible and possible for them.
+Sai Rahul Kankipati If I was a multi-billion dollar company I would not be spending billions on wasted tech. Those billions could have helped many less fortunate people all over the world.
EVERYTHING should be boxed like this.
Ken Heslip Try unboxing an iPhone. :)
I do not have limited mobility, nor do I know anyone that does, but I greatly appreciate that Microsoft designed this controller and packaging.
This is my favourite thing Microsoft has done. I feel like us disabled gamers are too often forgotten about or have to jump through more rings to play the same as everyone else. Thank you!
Pretty cool that they made this. However I would've liked to hear about the controller itself. First time I've seen an unboxing where all the information is about the packaging it comes in.
Mike Held well it does only say unboxing in the title.
It is for people to have the surprise element and the care others show to them
if you are not physically disabled or know someone that is very limited in mobility don't talk down on it. Some people are actually in need of technology like this to do something as easy for the majority of the population.
MrRealtalk the only people I’ve seen hating on this are CZcams trolls, this tech is such an innovation to gaming, this is amazing
I've heard a lot of people hating on it. It's really annoying
MrRealtalk yeah it sucks, I wonder if people had the same hate towards the invention of the wheel chair, or prosthetic arms, the shit is pathetic
Knowing how people can be probably they did. Unfortunately most people don't understand the necessity until they don't have much.
So many comments missed the point of the video. Yes, it's about the box. This is because they're showing that the box was designed to be opened by people with impaired mobility. People who don't have the dexterity that everyone else has.
If you want to learn more about the controller itself, Microsoft released a couple of videos about them a few weeks ago. Just look those up.
So happy to see us moving into an era where no matter what abilities a person is born with they can easily get technology that closes the gap. Between recent advancements in prosthetics, BMIs, and things like this I see a bright future ahead for people who are differently abled.
Just disabled lol
That’s incredible , next level stuff here, imagine company doing this on other electronics, groceries foods, and etc. good idea Microsoft!!
It was actually brought to the forefront by a SONY employee that had made a custom modded Dual Shock 4 controller for a person with Cerebral Palsy.
@@sondrejohansen48 toxic xbox fanboy cant
@@randybradley4151 No, it's from MICROSOFT, not from your sony
@@ivanmontalvo9333 Do you think I'm stupid? I watched the video. I'm talking about the secret controller that SONY made for a gamer with SP and instead of tooting their horn and beating their chest just like MICROSOFT has it shows that SONY has more heart in keeping it from the for front just like when they supported outreach programs during the Japanese Tsunamis and Nintendo did squat.
@@randybradley4151 Yes, you are :)
I have no arms and play games using my feet, awesome to see companies taking an initiative to do something like this, unfortunately I think this would be more difficult for me to use than a basic controller.
Terrible video...i can't believe they spent millions on that
How did you type this?
Well, the product isn't very well explained in the video. What the adaptive controller is really meant to be is a hub through which you can connect your own devices to create a method of control for video games that works best for you. So you could for instance hook up three sets of foot pedals from Rock Band or a racing game and then you would have six pedals by your feet to control your games with.
@ Spiral Feather video was more about the unboxing experience!
You can plug whatever you need to the adaptive controller
Sleek conservative packaging? Why not do this for nearly everything?
effort. its much easier for a company to ship something in a box and just tape the box shut.
This minimalist design that has only paper components instead of plastic bags, twist ties, etc. would probably be good for other packaging too
Nice work Microsoft, very intelligent design
Love this, people don't realise how hard it is just to open some packages for me. Well done guys!
I am really impressed with Microsoft , this controller is going to change things. Finally disabled people have a device that can truly have them gaming with ease. The way they thought of everything with a disabled person in mind, makes me happy . Even right down to the packaging, they made it easier to open. Bravo Microsoft , I am truly amazed. Keep up the fantastic work!
Bruh more companies need to box their stuff like this.
The packaging is exciting to see as not only being accessible, but also being engineered to use less plastic and fewer bits that are hard to recycle or break down when thrown out. It is awesome to see good in multiple ways come out of a large company. Many larger companies care only about the bottom dollar. Here Microsoft responded to a need that is within a smaller subset of it's customer base and poured a substantial amount of money into research and developement for them not only in the product, but in packaging as well.
I'm physically disabled but I can use the Xbox One controller perfectly fine, it's nice that Microsoft has done something like this. The only gaming controllers I have problems with is the Gamecube controller and when using the individual joycon bumper buttons.
Are they selling the box or contoller I'm totally confused I heard more deatails about the package than the product.
Is this controller available for purchase at any retailer ?
Great now they can open the box, but how do they plug in the cord?
This is awesome unboxing. imagine the look on your face when u try to unbox the xbox one x box after this controller , without arms.
first xbox controller with a battery built in will they be continuing the battery
Absolutely incredible stuff
Not a big Xbox One fan but this is very humane and touching.
Microsoft.....you never fail to amaze me at your thoughtfulness and caring. I think you may be the most socially conscious company in the world. I wish others followed your lead.
This is really cool, you can tell how nervous the Xbox guy is.
Holy shit, this video goes over SOOO many peoples heads...
They went as far as to change the box but also they give them a charger and a rechargeable battery unlike regular Xbox controllers controllers so the person with a disability don’t gotta change batteries I assume
i think they liked the box more than anything else
i wish i could make something that is as kind and thoughtful as that id be very proud of my self go microsoft
I have no arms, nose, feet, or head but i feel like this will be a game changer for me.
how are you alive then with no head 😆
I have average mobility in my upper body but would still love these packaging principles to be applied to everything.
Microsoft shouldn't have pushed Kinect so hard, but instead focus on it as a separate peripheral, and supported it over the years.
I'm not disabled, but I still want one.
This is one few thing giant like Microsoft is getting love.I want other companies to do similar product.
Can't wait to make quick scopes with this controller!
They should honestly design all of their packages like this.
I wish that loop tape was with every package and I don't even have a disability
How can i order one please
So Cool! Kudos to Microsoft.
I like how they talk more about the box than they do the controller. They might as well have called this video : Xbox adaptive controller box unboxing
I don't like xbox because the I had my bad experience with batterys terrible cpu cooling and much more, but I like the that Microsoft is try to help disabled people so they can get a gaming experience too.
Amazing
its all easy up until you have to plug it in with usb. if only it came with a charge plate that you can rest the controller on there for its a one-time plug it to an outlet and the rest is taken care of fromthere
even if im not disabled can i still use this controller
ILYAS GAMING 64 No! If it detects that you are able-bodied, the built in grenade will detonate, splitting your body in half.
Charlie Haisman ok thx now i Will file a law suite to Microsoft game studios
r/woosh
tophatter6048 ALT wtf i understand the joke i just made a joke to respond to his joke so woosh on you
lol he got r/wooosh
Is there a phone number I can all to get some assistance setting this up for a kid? His mom and I are not gaming savvy and I am struggling with getting info on setting up the they regular controller to work for the left hand the adaptive controller to work for extra buttons on the right.
That guy did a great job designing a package but please never let him on camera
There's a reason he isn't a spokesperson. I swear most awkward interview ever.
You think the guys like "thanks for sticking that packing tape to my table pal"
I am a perfectly mobile person and yet I want that controller.
I am grateful to God for giving me a full functioning body for which I don't feel insecure about. It's so nice to see Microsoft making these devices. However, I'd like seeing different types of these controllers for different disabilities, so everyone can enjoy the art of video games.
Charged Supercap its adaptable, there are multiple adapters to adjust the controller as need through the several headphone jacks in the back.
Why god if I may ask? Microsoft made it.
Charlie Haisman because Microsoft didn't give us a fully functioning body.
God isn't real
Golden Hypercube neither is your GF🤣🤣
I came on here to make a joke that they wouldn't be able to open the package but I was not excpecting this
No entendi ... Para que sirve ... ?
Damn sure proud of that damned box
Nice packaging review.. How about the controller? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
So far, still no speedruns of Dark Souls or Crash Bandicoot with this controller yet...
Does PS4 have something similar?
y do they have this and not full keyboard and mouse support for xbox
they have implemented full keyboard and mouse support and Razor is producing licensed accesories soon. maybe you should watch more news?
and this is for disabled people, i am pretty sure they cannot use a keyboard and a mouse like you!
Big Keys should come back for disabled people. Billion dollar market
Wow, una piastra per cuocere la pasta.
Great idea.
One problem.
They've unboxed the controller, they're happy.
Now they have to wait for someone else to go plug it all in and complete the job.
Why make a package for someone who wont be able to connect it and begin using it by themselves?
this video should be titled in unboxing the box lol
3:41 they open the box
I'm a ready player one my system THANKS
damn ima buy the box ? lmao
homie talked about the box half the video lmao
80% about the box. 20% about the controller
Sandakan Kini r u really that stupid?
We have föund the lööps bröthers.
Why is half the video about the packaging and not the product
But could we somehow use this to give Xbox a mouse and keyboard? That might make this controller thing sell more.
Disabled people can't use a keyboard.
@@tophatter-qy5rh that's not my point, I mean non disabled people using this as an exploit
Xbox been having adaptive packaging, for like 6 years 😂
its a dive kick fight stick
Who would dislike this?
Its easy to open the adaptive controller box but when you open the xbox one u cant😂
Cool product, awkward unboxing
why did it take you 4 minutes to show us the actual product????
Great now the daredevil is gonna be on Xbox
Does Sony ever think of things like this for their special consumers? 🤔
5 MINUTES TALKING ABOUT THE F***ING SHIPPING BOX?! YOU KIDDIN'?
Nice box but what about the controller?
How much is this? That’s a big barrier to access fir many of us to getting equipment and gear we need, cost, we don’t have access to a lot of things because lack of ability to get funds , earned, or through so called "agencies" and insurances
What is in this box. This is the box that you get from Microsoft
Great job Microsoft
People without disabilities are gonna exploit the controller. Drop shots are gonna be op
is it just an x adaptive controller now?
the bootlegger no? It works on all xbox one systems, and I think pc
@@dylanharding5720 r/woooosh
the bootlegger yep.
Still don't get the joke though XD
@@dylanharding5720 they unBOXed it.
the bootlegger *facepalms*
How did I not see that?
youll notice that....😂
This whole video was opening a box, hence unboxing😂 but not really any demo of it
"Through research we found that loops make things easier to open" why would that need research it's pretty obvious?
Where is my Xbox low vision contoller
dude LOOPS
I wish games would go back to allowing the option to switch off or on...to when playing first person games, to choose to turn off the "duel joystick" function, because mentally and physically, I cannot do the double joystick to walk...I need to be able to use one joystick to walk around, a lot of games used to allow for the option, now most games , are set up to where you have to use both joysticks, or a joystick and the D pad to walk around and turn..... please start back putting the option, to use a single joystick to do all your walking, , I’d love to play all these shooters and such if I could have the option to just use one joystick for my walking ahd moving.......and that second joy stick for the occasion where you want to look up or down... I got physical and cognitive issues, to reason why I can’t do the double,e joysticks just to freaking walk,
Mark clearly is from the packaging department because he has no clue what to say about the products, nor was he briefed or given notes on the product itself. I know the point of this video was to show the new accessible packaging but people want to see more info about the product itself.
Vladimir Nedeljković then watch a fuking other videoooo!! There is an review from microsoft.
Why so many dislikes?
Or just ask someone to help you open the box
What if they don’t have hands
What if you can't read
He says he gonna tear the peel on the box from the right as he peels the left side.
Murphy Carey it’s his right
All of the great work on the packaging, but when it comes to adding auxiliary controllers you still need an extremely difficult to manipulate headphone jack. Not using magnetic power and data connectors was a huge failure.
Hm..
Looks like trackpad
