glad i found you guys i got few skis a 94 spi and 97 xp getting ready to do a wear ring in the spi and the xp needs some love doing lines and carbs now
Could you please do a video on how to maintain the oil injection system on these machines I’m scared to touch it because I don’t know exactly how to bleed it but I want to clean everything and make sure it’s not going to fail.
My parents gave me their 1995 GTS, replacing the lines fuel filter, rebuilding carb, etc. Wondering where I could get the whole fuel sending unit and the little plastic inline valves that are in these lines. Thanks got the knowledge man your maintenance video helped as well. Also on one of the fuel lines going to carb, there is a larger inline filter it looks like, do you what it is and where I could get it? Thanks again, I will send picture of this aluminum looking inline filter? When I get back to the seadoo.
Thx for video. I hv a seafood 96 spi 587 engine. On some threads people go BK n forth on what size n kind of fuel lines are needed. Some say 1/4 others say 5/8 and others say both sizes are used. Ugh!!! I hate when people say what they think n not what the real answer is. Plus some say water grade high injection is needed n others say that's overkill. I wld rather just do it right once even if I HV to spend more money. I really wanted transparent green or purple lines to match my seafood, but not sure if those are so suitable or not. (BTW, My engine part is all purple...not half white like yours in video.) I learned my lesson on changing one line at a time, when I decided to change spark plug wire on my 1970 Chevelle and pulled them all off at same time not knowing there was a diff. I just thought you had to match longer lines to plugs further away. 😢. Nowadays they mk cars whr u cant even get to most the spark plugs anymore anyways... So not a problem changing them cuz I can't... I also hv questions regarding cleaning the green goo out of the inside compartment. 1. What cleaning solution you recommend 2. I only have 1 drain value so the water on the other side can't drain out as apparently the 2 sides aren't connected. So I was going to add another drain valve on the other side, but decided I wld ask 1st. Any suggestions? I'm a chik so don't laugh if my questions are retarded.
Have you done a video about tuning these carbs? I struggle to understand how to tune the high speed jets when they are not easily accessible, and some say that a carb should be tuned with the air box installed. I have not yet found a comprehensive video on tuning duel carbs. I have found some some good literature, but still not much mention about what the duel carb procedure looks like in real time.
Is it necessary to have the black plastic intake vent louvers installed that sit under the seat? When I did some composite work I sealed up the fastener holes for those and left them uninstalled.
Good video, I used zip ties on my lines but I've been having an issue where my 96 gti will "run away" and rev up out of the water. I know this is usually caused by too much air and not enough fuel, do you think using zip ties could have caused this issue? I'll be looking to replace the zip ties regardless. I'm very new to owning a pwc and don't know much about them. Your channel has really helped out. Any chance you guys could do an oil line replacement video and how to properly change the inline oil filter?
I just redid EVERYTHING on my 94 XP and I've got translucent fuel lines and I keep seeing air pockets, but everything is zip tied... I'm thinking about switching everything to clamps except the water lines
Many thanks for this usefull info! Again an great job! Do you also have a "pro tip" for cleaning and whitening the fuel tank? What kind of detergent or cleaning product the give it factory new look can used?
Great video but when I bought the new fuel filter it wouldn’t fit the line. They were two different sizes so you might want to remove that link in your discerption for that one
Love your channel. I have several of the 787 SPX & XP's also and love them. Do you have a video for electronics / MPEM diagnosis and or aftermarket DESS bypass? Thanks.
Gents, always love your vids. Quick question...you didn't mention anything about fuel restrictors which sometimes can be found in old ski's and usually are in the return fuel lines. Am doing a rebuild of a 98 GSX and the forums are mixed on if it needs a fuel restrictor or not. Any advice or guidance to know what does/does not need a restrictor? Thanks.
Didnt see it. Email jarmanpowersports@gmail.com for any ski related repairs or restorations. This channel is just to help the community wrench on their own skis
i have a 97xp and a 99gsx rfi.. Do those models have the thru hull bushing for one way vent valve and the mushroom bushing for vent fond under the hood?
I’ve got a question, I’m working on a 95 xp 717 and the carb fuel lines were gone so no reference to where they go…. The one I can’t figure out is where the pulse line hooks up to engine, is it to the left of the intake manifold or below the oil pump. Thanks George
is this relevant on a 2020 trixx ? I'm having a horrible time getting mine to start after sitting this winter and never had an issue before. Turns over very strong, (had new battery) but simply won't start
Best video. I watch like 5 and you have made it much easier . Great explanation!
Awesome! We not sell fuel line kits on our website todaywewrench.com

Awesome video as always thanks for mentioning the otiker clamps not cable tie because its not a cable. 😊
Funny - Jarmin says - "Feels like you're going to break it (the one way valve) but you're not going to break it" ----- I broke it. lol
Same!
I love this series so much ❤❤

Looks like a good 1 to 25 split on theses hoses. Good chance of mooning that bad boy.
Outlook not so good
Another awesome vid thanks fellas

Can you get colored fuel lines that are rated appropriately? I’m thinking of color coding all the water/fuel/oil lines in mine
Thank u watch 👍

That’s why we said in the video to use your existing top and utilize the filter, canister, and oring only.

No such thing as a DESS bypass unfortunately. What problems are you having?

@@TodayWeWrench sounds good thanks.

Are the fuel lines the same size on the 951?
Has 5/16 to the carbs. Carbs have 1/4

1/4 nipple coming off the case by the intake manifold

Off the top of your head do you know what the torque specs on the intake manifold
Do you guys do custom work, where are you located?
Hey guys, love the vids.
I’m having a problem priming after line change and wear ring. Fuel just isn’t pumping to carbs, any advice would be great!
is your pulser line hooked up to the carb?
What causes the green goo in the line? Ethanol fuel?
Its the chemical reaction between the ethanol and the brass fittings
I live in DC, Would love for you guys to restore my Seadoo XP?
