What was that filter that goes on the net? We farm catfish here in california and just use a net with the “basket” on the back that can be detached after funneling all the fish in there, but that filter would save a lot of time sorting the too small ones out

Thanks for your comment. Sometimes catfish are used in aquaponics but they can be difficult to acclimate to a tank environment. If you can find tank raised fish you should be fine. But, if fish were raised in a pond and put in a tank they will often bump into the sides and get scraped up leaving an opening for bacterial infection. In general we do not recommend catfish for theses systems. Hope this helps.

David Cline thank you very much. If I tried this I would try it with a few fingerlings and letting them grow into the tank.
