I am starting my catfish farming for the first time and have a few questions:
1. For 100 fish in the small tank, how high should the water be?
2. Do i need to cover the tank with something like a wire mesh or it can be under a shade?
3. Is there any risk to the fish if it rain water gets into the tank during a rainfall (i.e. if its not covered)?
4. When draining the water how low should the water get before you start pumping in the fresh water?

Hey, have you heard of Aquaponic farming? It would give you a way to manage the fish waste and give you vegetables on top of fish. There are Many videos here on CZcams on this topic. The best part is, as long as you maintain it and rotate crops according to your local seasons, you have a perpetual harvest. This system works well for perennials and seasonal crops. Its best to plan your crops accordingly. I hope you have a fantastic day, and I hope your harvest is bountiful.

You know the number of fishes you receive from where you got them, record, and everytime there's a water change look it for dead fishes and subtract. You may lose sight of some but it gives you enough details
