I feel like when you're stuck with that hip rotation is because your clubs are too short + you're too close to the ball. I see many of my friends have their hips rotating like that and they are very pure ball strikers. What do you think?
That definitely could be causing that move but naturally alot of the people I work with rotate towards the ball with that back leg getting them stuck rather than rotating away and sitting into the hypothetical “wall” you want to push back into!
