“thoughtful daughter” ive only ever heard thought daughter so i was super confused. that’s her government name 😭😭😭
I think destiny missed the joke cause all three of those tiktoks definitely said "thought daughter" lmao
destiny i don't think you know but in Rebecca the name of the main character was never even mentioned in the book i think at the end where the books note ( i'm not sure ) it supposed to represent the idea of her husband never noticing her and her absence ever which amplifies the idea of the book and the pain that the main character went through absolutely mind blowing
yeahh, she was nameless which is so interesting!

YESS Lovely War is amazing, and the chapters are super short so it’s easy to read. A beautiful historical fiction/Greek mythology retelling.

The time thing is literally me, I have so much anxiety about how much time I have left in the day, week, month, year, etc. I always feel like I don't have enough time because of how fast time is passing.
I think we need to read sad books when we are not okay mentally. Call me crazy, but it’s when we really “feel” them. It’s when we can relate to them the most. I’m currently making my way through A Little Life and I’m so ready for it to destroy my life.
I personally could have never read a little life when i was at my worst. to each their own but i understand why we may consume different forms of media when we are going through it
i think this could be dangerous advice for some people, some sad media can be triggering in ways people do not expect. especially when they are beyond “sad”/are depressed. for reference, i had to talk a friend off a ledge after they watched a star is born and i really can’t recommend anybody consume content with that kind of ideation if you have it yourself, in hopes of relating better! be careful everyone xoxo

This is such a unique video idea and I love how Destiny continues to come up with ideas and drops new videos without fail. Also I read Lovely War about two years ago and I loved it soo much too. It was so beautifully written and I loved the romances in it and how lyrically beautiful it was written.

I think you might like Turtles All The Way Down by John Green, but I don't know if now is the right time for you to read it, because the main character, Aza, has OCD, so I don't know if her type of anxiety would affect you negatively. I have OCD, but I read it 4 years ago and as far as I can remember, I don't think that it triggered me, but I have a different subtype of OCD than Aza has. So if you're anxiety is more health related right now, it’s probably not the right time to read it, but if it’s not, then I think you’ll probably like it. Also, the movie just came out, and it’s probably one of my favorite book to movie adaptations!
