I seriously need a spreadsheet for all of these ingredients and combinations and when to use them.
I'm building my list, I can share it when I finish research.
Omg pls share it to me
@@N1s2k1 This would be incredibly useful thank you!

Hey, I have really bad acne. Really really bad acne. So I went to a dermatologist (which is the best thing you can do) and they told me to apply a product which is a mixture of pure benzoyl peroxide and antibiotic. It worked really nicely. My scars started to fade and my breakouts decreased.
What I'm trying to say is that if you have bad acne, please don't watch this kind of videos because these girls aren't doctors. They can know as much as they do about beauty and regular skincare, but harsh acne is a totally different topic.
The best thing you can do is asking a doctor about what to do and what treatment suit better your skin type as well as which products work better for your specifict problem.
Agreed. I have a prescription for a benzoyl peroxide product and 100% told: cleanse skin, benzoyl peroxide and then moisturizer. This vid told me the other way around
Yep. My friends' bad acne actually turned out to be from a hormone imbalance that her OBGYN overlooked... which turned out to be endometriosis, aggravated by her hormone therapy formulation. Fun! Sometimes it pays to see an endocrinologist and a dermatologist. Really.
True, I tried different EXPENSIVE products from online info and nothing worked till I went to a dermatologist and surprise! What he prescribed worked and my acne was gone! Some of this products are not strong enough to deal with acne.
Victoria Quynh T no one was forcing you to follow every one of their advice tho. the gag's on you if you don't practice common sense. doesn't mean they bullshit their way thru this video tho. #nuance
C. A. N. Lol speak for yourself. There's been plenty of horror stories of dermatologist "advice" that didn't work out.
Iâm starting to accept the fact that iâm never gonna understand my skin...
Maja Dideriksen same i feel you
Same and my hair too đȘ
I understand, I tried everything and even gave up on dermatologist. Have you tried sulfur soap? It literally is the only thing that has helped me!!!
Your skinâs needs change over time. What worked great at 30, isnât enough when you hit 40, and so on. I find I have to reassess my skin every few years.
You need a dermatologist
I remember when I used to have a day and a night cream, but honestly there was no difference for me. Now I just use a day cream at day and night, I don't feel dehydrated or anything. Honestly if something works, just do that. I feel like the beauty industry has way too many products & are just so focused on consumerism, and if you honeslty don't feel like you need to buy something that people/brands tell you to buy, then just don't buy it.
The only reason u wouldnt use a daycream at night is if it contains spf .. Other than that, its just a cream .. your skin really doesnt know the difference.
Cerrydwenn that's true, I have a day cream that contains spf, but I don't use at night haha. Though I read somewhere that you need to use a lot of those creams to get the protection that it says on the bottle, so I usually use another sunprotection face cream if I know I'll be a lot in the sun :)
Yeah I think you should use just normal sunscreen for sunprotection when dealing with foundation etc. that is told to have SPF. Not sure how good sunprotection ordinary creams have :D
I tend not to put anything on during the day because my skin has gotten all itâs moisture from my cream at night. I just rinse my face with warm water and go. I should use spf cream but honestly I feel like Iâm okay without it. Everybody is different
Ane Emelia sings you technically need to reapply SPF every 4 hours to actually get the benefit of it - so all this SPF in skincare and foundations are great if you only wear it for short intervals
damn, the products you promote are so effin expensive.
sicksadgirl innisfree is probably one of the more cheaper labels đŹ but the other ones...super expensive.
Do they receive $ for promoting them?
Probably paid sponsorship to talk shit about these other brands
You get what you pay for! You take care of your skin now, youâll age well.
Not all they suggested were.. You don't have to buy the brand product, like the mixed essential oils. You can just buy a pure essential oil that'll be much cheaper
Can you ladies do drugstore skincare plz !
Inger Ek ?????????

JazzyJacy what do you mean
drugstore products
Why is everyone having such a hard time understanding this? DRUG STORE SKINCARE- USES PRODUCTS FROM THE _DRUGSTORE_
This channel makes me appreciate the chemistry behind products. You're amazing guys!!
Apply spot treatment creams or serums at the end of the routine
Apply moisturizer before Benzoyl peroxide
Don't exfoliate when your skin is peeling
Vitamin c not with niacinamide ( you can try with expections)
Vitamin C and Niacinamide can actually be used together. Only when they are stored in very high temperature that they canât be used together.
babygunz0604 right!
Oh. I used them together once on accident and my skin started burning/ itching. They've never been stored in high temperatures...
babygunz0604 Yeah that myth been busted. Although if you have sensitive skin there might be a reaction. Most people itâs fine.
I combined them once before by accident and nothing happened lmao
I do it regularly and I've never had any issues before.
I call bs on the day/night creams. the fact that one is more nourishing and the other less is true, but that it affects skin in any way just because you're sleeping is reaching. I'd say don't wear day cream at night if it has spf because that is just not useful and you'd need more extensive cleansing in the morning, and for some people nourishing creams might be too thick to wear under makeup and so on. But they are definitely not formulated with skin regeneration during sleep in mind.
this comment turned out harsh. SORRY. everything else in the video was very interesting and probably useful to consider. this is a good series of videos! i don't mean to be negative.
The lie is that moisture exist. ..the true is there aren't any osmosis (absorbing) out of "moisture creams' the only thing you could do to stay hydrated it's drink water. The effect that creams that claim to give moisture is just emollient effect that soften the shape edges of molecules but there is no way that moisture or water can penetrate the skin from outside. Watch dr dray channel talks about skin care. She's a researcher on skin and specialist in cancer rrsearch in groups of california university's.
@@conexos2007 dang thats wild! I've heard before that creams are just there to make a barrier that doesnt let skin lose moisture. I'll check out that chanel. Tnks
no if they are harsh, they should not be worn in the day, the sun would burn your skin, that's the main reason. Also some are very oily you would look like you applied vasaline on your face
It's very true!! The side effects Happened to me...
If you get a spot treatment from the doctors, eg an antibiotic cream such as zineryt, you should put it on after you cleanse, wait for it to dry and then apply moisturiser, or as the instructions say.
I have a benzoil peroxide gel and I leave it all night, should I remove it and apply moisturizer after it drys???
@@diegobernal4267 how thick do you apply it? I would say use a thin layer of it for spot treatment, wait til it dries, then apply moisturizer.
@@diegobernal4267 Also be careful about your pillow cases and pyjamas! Benzoyle peroxyde can bleach fabrics, I used to have this BP cream and I ruined my pillow cases because I'd roll around at night and put cream everywhere đ
Yup! Acne.org has saved my skin and they tell you to put the treatment on before moisturizer......and itâs definitely helped my skin and fixed my acne problem so the fact that they are saying to use it after moisturizer makes me question where they are even getting their information from...
dezb nope! They are completely wrong. Why would you put treatment on moisturized skin? Doesnât make sense because the moisturizer is getting in the way of the treatment. I suggest letting it dry after cleansing and then putting moisturizer on after the treatment dries. Also look at acne.org for my information
drunken elephant $80, you have to be drunk to buy that **** for that price
Hahahahha this is awesome, and quite true actually đ- fel
When it comes to skin care... you get what you pay for. Cheep product = poorly sourced ingredients = bad for the environment = bad or poorly researched ingredient combinations

I am so glad I found this channel. Iâve made a minor mistake and that was putting my essential oil before my moisturizer. Thank you for the advise, but I do have a question. I might already know the answer, if I put my essential oil on after my moisturizer, would I apply my spf after the essential oil? Also, is there a book you can recommend where can I lean about all the ingredients that are in skin care, how they benefit your skin, what not to use with them so they donât damage or irritate you skin?
I'm brand new to your channel and am loving it so far! Can you do a vegan/cruelty free skincare routine!? I find it hard to find great products for these and then also find it hard to use the products in the correct order. Thanks!
you can't imagine how grateful I am for this video! when you were talking about the right way to use spot treatment I thought I must be doing something wrong, but turns out my gut feeling told me right haha, I've always used it at the very end of my skincare! âš
you guys are amazing â€
thanks for making this video! your videos are always informative and really helps me to do better research and be conscious when i go to the shop. really enjoyed them all!! xx
I have to say the Kate Summerville spot treatment does work better than the Mb one!

shea butter is my go to skin care product. Dark under eyes, acne scars, fleaky skin, wrinkles, whatever it is! Just try, it's really cheap too
I remember going to the dermathologist and getting said that pure benzoyl peroxide will save my skin. So I bought it, used and my skin friggin fell apart, it was horrible. For two weeks my skin was burning, red and flacky and i had to cover my face in shame! Didn't use it for months but then wanted to givethe guy a second chance necause my skin was getting worse and worse. Now i use benzoyl peroxide daily and my skin is amazing! Thanks to you girls I can even make it work better :)
It's a really strong ingredient, I really haven't found it to be beneficial either! So we really have to just test and see if it's useful for our own situations, even if things are labelled as helpful, each persons skin is just so different - so it's okay! Glad to hear it's all working out, and your skin is better now! Thanks so much for sharing! - Fel âș
Thats awesome, Im glad you made it work! I'd love to know, how do you incorporate benzoyl peroxide into your daily routine?
You have to work your way up to using it daily. I wonder what percentage you had started with. Even at a low percentage you really only need a little amount
first part was so helpfull for me! i realised why i had huge problem with my face. so im so happy about next part :D

For the spot treatment(Kate),it said on the cap do not shake. I see you shake already to get the pink thing
Yeah Iâve been to many dermatologist and they all basically said to wash my face wait until is dry and then apply the spot treatment/ topical treatment and to apply moisturizer around it..
Thank you girls! This was very helpful
Will you please cover the effects of refrigerating skincare products? Does it diminish efficacy?
.
it just makes it have a cooking effect and makes it feel good on ur face
lol cooking effect... that sounds horrific im dead.... ahhaha
it all depends on the ingredients. some of them should not be refrigerated. some of them should. most of them are fine at room temperature.
personally, since *_most_* skincare products are made to be stored at room temperature, i don't think they should to be refrigerated. the only time to put skincare in your fridge is if you have problem with puffiness in your under eye area. then chilling eye crem/gel would be beneficial. otherwise, there is really no use.
!
i have very dry and eczema prone skin and i SWEAR by using a night cream as my daytime moisturizer as i find that most "day creams" to be too lightweight and not truly moisturizing
I just tried this Hyaqua moisture soothing cream during these winter months and it has been a lifesaver as my daytime moisturizer
well wearing sunscreen means i need to use lighter daycream unless i want to look greasy. and i have dry skin.
So happy this was in my recommended videos! This is so helpful, I just subscribed and will be binge watching lol
Hey guys! Love the informative videos you guys put up always. Can you pleaseeee cover congested skin? What ingredients to use or recommended products? đ
Benzoyl peroxide is actually really great for clearing blackheads idk why they said not to

Hey is that youngk in your profile pictures?
Thanks for the video & great content! What can I do if my skin is already inflamed and reacting (kind of bumpy like poison ivy)?
wow.. honestly thank you for this. My biggest take on this was adding moisturizer before anything
Everyone is saying that they promote too expensive products but really they just promote ones that are effective and good! They promote a good range of skincare prices in my opinion especially as skincare isnât rly cheap - at least not for the good ones !!! Also they do know what they r talking about as I follow their videos and reccomend actions and my skin is super good ! đđŒđđŒđđ
True. I used spot treatment on unopen spot and it was there even on the 4th day. It works well if I pop the acne or pimple, wash my face, clean with toner and apply the spot treatment. Acne does takes time though. But if you caught an acne when it just started to start, you have higher chance to combat it without popping it first. I love salicylate better than benzoyl because benzoyl just dried my skin but didn't clear my acne. Anyway, thanks for this nice video, I learned a lot. đ Can you girls do a video on how to whiten the eye area? I use whitening product so my face area is whiter than my upper eyes area, I somehow look as if I used eyeshadow even though I didn't.
Haiii, that's so great to hear! Thanks for sharing your experience! Prevention is always better than cure, but sometimes when the pimples need to come out, they just gotta come and so better that we know the right steps to take so that they can disappear as quickly as possible right hahha. Make sure regardless of how your skin is, you're moisturizing well so that your skin is happy and hydrated, and that can actually solve a lot of problems too! Eye area is difficult, because it could be things related to sleep and also diet. Make sure you're getting in at least 7-8 hours of sleep. You can dry a eye cream that's for brightening too, there a lot of different types you can pick from depending on how much you want to spend. But at the end of the day, what will truly fix it from within are changes in your lifestyle, starting from sleep and what you eat :) Hope that helps! - Fel đ

victoria cathilene Christianity is an anti-Human; anti-Natural; anti-Spiritual; anti-Scientific programme of death and destruction, and there is so much proof of that. It was stolen; twisted; perverted; and corrupted from very, very ancient Paganism, which is based on and around Humanity; Nature; Spirituality; and Science, where there is also so much proof of that.

How about if you are working graveyard shifts? Im talking about call center agents or people working at night until the wee hours.. Any ideas? Thanks
Ooh, thatâs a great question. I have no idea, but I wonder if a dermatologist would say to base the timing of your skincare around your sleep instead of the typical âmorningâ and âeveningâ routine

Amazing advices!!! Things none estetician would tell you. This vitamin c oil in the end can it be used at night as a treatment (to brightness) replacing night cream? What would you suggest for eyes area??? I'm looking for a contour eyes cream.
Thanks for mentioning the OzNaturals for *only* $15. I was recommended the happy hippy vitamin C by this guy at Ulta and I'm still trying it out. Unfortunately, most of these serums with aha/bha are asking for 2x a day commitment, with the caveat that it increases skin's sensitivity to the sun. I am still not seeing much of an "effect" from using the serum whenever I can (when I can remember). I'm lucky enough to remember my spf 75% of the time before I run out. I think some of this definitely has to do with advertising though. Most creams want to advertise that flexibility day and night, to all skin types, despite the high price tag. For example, I am using a few samples of philosophy's renewed hope in a jar, which is a cream they like you to rub on day&night but I don't think I like it as much as my oil-free nite-a-mins by origins. This hope in a jar thing has really cute packaging and includes aha, but has the warning that we may have to double up on sunscreen as a result. In my thought-process, I just relegate such a product that tries to do too much as a night moisturizer rather than something that's going to compete with my expensive face spf products :(
Question... what if you "ingest" vitamin C (like taking vitamins) when using niacinamide? đ€đ€đ€
It's just a common misconception. When unstable forms of vitamin c and niacinamide are combined in high temperatures they react badly. Anything you use, wether internally or externally, should be stable, and your body temperature would never be that high.
You can take/eat vitamin C, you basically have it in your body all the time (luckily !), but I guess the form of the vitamin C, its concentration in the skin or where it's located in the skin make it not reactive to the acids or the other things.
I never realised how important it is to use night and day creams at the right time. Educational as always!
Use coconut oil or almond oil and you'll be fine. I'm a dermatologist. Trust me. It's all marketing. You'll be better off just using a nourishing oil and changing the amount you use in the morning Vs at night. These girls are getting paid to talk about these products but not stating it. Rather dishonest.
@@GirlyEnglishGamer coconut oil is highly comedogenic... and i can say that that will not work for most people, especially those with problematic skin (acne, eczema, ect) maybe if you have normal skin that isn't oily nor dry. But even then, anyone using coconut oil on their face is a tragedy.
@@GirlyEnglishGamer yikes coconut oil? that breaks me out
Idk if this person is actually a dermatologist but as a med student I know that you canât recommend coconut oil/any one skin product to someone without consulting them. And yes, coconut oil is comedogenic!

Excellent video super informative and understandable explanations.
The Ole Henrikson Vitamin C already comes in an orange color. How am I supposed to know if it's gone bad or not?
You will be able to tell don't worry. It becomes gunky and thick, not runny and translucent like it did in the beginning. I left my bottle with only a little left in it to use something else and then came back to it after a while and it had solid dark orange bits suspended in the liquid. Mind you this was ~2 years after I had initially opened it so it takes a long while to go bad.

I have no day and night cream. Bit that is more because I have highly sensitive skin and allergirsđŻ
I use Biotherm blue therapy cream in oil. I have the facial cleaner as well. My skin loves it and it has gotten so much better since I started using it! If I get dry flakes I use a menthol cream. Works so well!
I use benzoyl peroxide after cleansing & before moisturiser because thatâs what the instructions say. The brand I use is Benzac Ac, my skin has drastically improved so the tip of using moisturiser before benzoyl peroxide confuses me. Does that only apply for when youâre using it as spot treatment? Because the acne.org regime also says to use benzoyl peroxide before moisturiser.
Nya Johnson I use benzoyl peroxide before moisturizer and have good results. That's also what my doctor told me to do. This vid isn't 100% reliable

This was SO informative!!! The only part i have been doing wrong is sometimes ive used my vitamin c "morning" time cleanser in the evening when i always use a product at night with niacinamide in it...now i know to NEVER use my vitamin c cleanser in the evening ever...thanks you guys!
Its really not a big deal. The vit c + niacinamide thing dates back to research from the 60's. Its only an issue when theyre combined in a high-temperature environment for a long time, in a way that would never happen outside of a lab situation. Dont worry ... its all fine.
But Wayne goss just said his professional dermatologist said you could make a cocktail and put your skincare on like that so I donât think thereâs a wrong way
You can, but the downside is it wont work as well, since you are only using a small bit you wont get the full potential of the product. So personally I find it is best to use the layer system instead đ
Making a cocktail out of it lessens the strength of the product but it's a great way to work something into your regimen that would otherwise be too strong for your skin. Cocktail for a week or two then try layering the products at full force to get the full benefit of your serum once your face acclimates.
huge fan of your videos. please keep it up!
Omg thanks so much for this
oh but my face wash and toner both have salicylic acid in it
so is this channel owned by a tv station or corporation of some sort? i just curious because before i used to only see one girl on here and i thought it was her personal channel. i still like the other girls too , just curious
Yes we are part of a media company, so Mia was the original host which was the one you probably are thinking of. But we have 2 others, Rowena and Felicia (myself) đWe all have slightly different skin types, so with that it's more natural being able to offer you guys a wider range of recommendations based on each of our experiences đThanks for commenting! - Fel đ
Thank you so much for this! Love getting videos with fresher angles, topics not particularly covered by 2841267812938124 other content makers out there. This was so informative and helpful!

VITAMIN C TIP: it stores better in dark-coloured bottles.
The Abnormal Skincare Company sell certain products in their The Ordinary skincare range in dark bottles and others in clear bottles. Their concentrates and serums containing Vitamin C are all in dark bottles, along with some others. They also have detailed instructions on how to use each of their products i.e., time of day, those that work well together and those that don't. The Ordinary skincare range is also fantastic for those on a budget and in need of something a little extra.
The night/day cream is bs. Skin doesnât recognize sleep to such a strong degree.
Hello cutie xD đ
Jackson Weaver actually it does, the skin regenerates at night making skin look calm when you wake up, i can tell the difference in mine. Itâs a fact :) thereâs more i have to say but itâs tpo long to say but iâm just telling you that the skin does recognize sleep.
alisson :D exactly! Has to do with circadian rhythms. Plus night creams usually have certain ingredients your skin needs to absorb while it repairs itself while you sleep.
Kristine Ortiz thank you! â€ïžâ€ïž thanks for explaining and giving right info :)
Jackson Weaver Nightcream is thicker than a regular day moisturizers. You canât use nightcream during the day because all your normal oil and sweat gets trapped with dust and bacteria...
