Imam Nawawi wrote in his book why is it encouraged to wipe face after dua, Ibn Hajr authenticated ahadeeth that say it is sunnah, Imam Sanani also considers it to be sunnah including Hanefi and Shafi scholars...On the other hand, Ibn Taymiyah, Sheikh Albani, Abdusalam (Abdusalam actually insulted others scholars by saying:" Noone wipes his face after dua except jahil, the ignorant") are of opinion that it is not authentic therefore not sunnah. There is difference of opinion about authenticity of ahadeeth that talk about that, but these salafis are just forcing hambeli opinion, ignoring and mocking view of any other madhab or scholar who disagrees with them.

I touch/wipe my face after dua. it seems like a natural movement. I guess Muslims in the subcontinent do this. but at least for me no one told us it is a sunnah or a wajib, it's just something you could do or leave. But it seems like a comforting movement than anything else. I could be in the Hanafi madhab as we are Hanafi. In that case it will be completely permissible, but I don't know

The companions used to take baraka from the Prophet Muhammad (S) himself when he does wudu/ablution & wipe their faces with the water that dribs from the him, and also rub their hand on the mimbar/sermon stage after the Prophet finishes from the saying his lecture/sermon. This is in the ummah through the lineage of Muhammad (saw) (Ijmah).. and moreover there is a hadith related to it in Imam Bukhari's book al adab al mufrad.. and also many scholars agree that it is not a act of bidah but sunah of nabi(saw) which is proven by the act of sahabas(ra)

I think this guy applies to salafis. People who follow the Hanafi school of thought like myself believe this to be the way of the Sunnah. I don't think anyone today has any authority in judging the 4 imaams based on the hadith compiled by the respected scholars such as bukhari who came way after these imaams. These imaams had a lot more information and were the tabieens or tabi tabieens. Take nothing away from bukhari, muslim etc but you cannot declare the opinions of the imaams as invalid unless it directly goes against the Quran and Mutawatir Hadith.

Why are you calling upon prophet Muhammad (ﷺ)? Surely not to ask him for things? You should be calling upon Allah SWT when asking for anything. Calling upon anyone except Allah SWT for anything is shirk. I'm not claiming you are committing shirk without context, but I'm just letting you know.

"the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, "A group of people will appear among you whose prayer, fasting and deeds will make you think little of your own prayer, fasting and deeds. They will recite the Qur'an, but it wil not get past their throats, and they will pass through the deen like an arrow passes through game. You look at the arrowhead, and you see nothing, and you look at the shaft, and you see nothing, and you look at the flights, and you see nothing. And you are in doubt about the notch." Aisha (rah) narrates:
"When the Prophet (pbuh) went to bed, he would blow on his hands, recite Muavvizateyn (Surahs of Falak and Nas) and Kulhuvallahu ahad, rub his hands on his face and body and repeat this three times. When he got sick, he would order me to do the same thing to him." (Bukhari, Fedâilu'l-Qur'an 14, Medicine 39, Da'avât 12; Muslim, Salam 50, (2192); Tirmidhi, Da'avât 21, (3399); Ebu Davud, Medicine 19)
In the narration of Umar (ra):
“When the Messenger of God raised his hands to pray, he would not let them go without putting them on his face.” (Tirmidhi, Da'avât, 11)
This narration shows the legitimacy of rubbing the hands on the face after prayer.
People should not accuse each other of wrongdoing on a subject where there are different opinions among scholars. There is a consensus among scholars that it is possible to act with weak hadiths in fazail-i âmal.

Raising hands while making dua after salah is not prescribed.
It says in Fatawa al-Lajnah al-Daimah:
“Making du’a after the obligatory prayers is not Sunnah if it is done by raising the hands, whether that is done by the imam alone or a member of the congregation alone, or it is done by them both together. Rather that is bid’ah, because it was not narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) or any of his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) did that. With regard to making du’a without doing that (raising the hands etc.), there is nothing wrong with it, because there are some ahadith concerning that.” (Fatawa al-Lajnah al-Daimah, 7/103)

Yes, you can’t! Or else it will be counted as Bida’h.
Inventing/creating something new in the deen which is not there in qur’an nor any hadees proving it that the Prophet (pbuh) did is called Bid’ah.
There’s a hadees in which Prophet (pbuh) says “do not bring Bida’ah is Islam as it will take you to Hell”.

@@oliispyderYa akhi al kareem there are many ahadith, Aathar of the Sahabah and the Tabi'een that they would wipe their face after Du'a. Hence why many of our past Fuqaha ruled it as something Recommended. And Imam Ibn Hajr that mentioned that all the Ahadith, and Aathar which become a lot of narrations, makes the act Hasan Li Ghayrihi in Hadith science. So without a doubt akhi, this act has a basis in the religion, and one should not be reprimanded from doing it.
