This matter is too trivial, wiping face after doa is actually a natural thing to do. When one cries, one put face into hands, why? So similar case here, it is not smthg that is sinful etc., if someone wants to do it, go ahead, likewise the opposite is also acceptable...studies done on normal human behaviours showed the face is the anatomy most commonly touched by ownself. Tqvm Dr Zakir for a very unbiased answer on this matter. To those who are so concerned abt this (wiping face after doa), it is none of your business...

In anycase some people are use to doing it so it's not sin so again I agree that their is no problem.
People also have a habit of when being shameful people cover their face or make contact. Only the people who are genuine will feel shameful of the wrong doings in frontbof their lord and make contact with their face as we humans try to hide this and its one of the first few steps to salvation.

    Wiping Hands in Dua:
Sayyiduna ‘Umar ibnul-Khattab (radiyallahu’anhu) reports that when Rasulullah (ﷺ) would spread out his hands in supplication (du’a), he would not leave them down until he wiped them on his face.’
    (Sunan al-Tirmidhi Hadith 3386)
Hafiz Ibn Hajar (rahimahullah) has stated that there are various/other narrations that support this. and that this Hadith is hasan (soundly authentic).
(Bulughul-Maram pg.455; Hadith 1554-1555; also see Faddul-wi’a of Allamah Suyuti -rahimahullah-)
May ALLAH (SWT) guide us all in the right path.

So the older traditional scholars say it's OK to wipe the face it's only the later scholars that say it's not OK.
I rather go with the older traditional scholars.
The "shaykh" that says only an ignorant person wipes their face has no Adab.

It doesn't matter if the scholars are traditional or not. What matters is the evidence from the sunnah, and there is no such evidence of the prophet saw wiping his face after dua. Are you going to follow the sunnah of the prophet saw or traditional scholars?

Imam An-Nawawi & Ibn Hajar Alasqani are the 2 giant scholar in prophetic tradition who have declared those narrations to be Authentic or at least acceptable. So at the end of the day it depends on the which scholarly research on Hadeeth you follow. Thhere is No condemnation on matter of legal differences.

I am a Muslim from Sri Lanka and no way believe this stupid idiotic statement of Christian Prince but I should know the answer to this so that I can defend my Prophet from Christians against such accusations. Daif is not mawdo’
There is also like on what field is it daif?
Is the sanad or matan daif
Imam Albani is not a hadith scholar
He is daif on this field like Ibn Uthaimin said about him:
He always makes sahih daif en daif sahih
The saud scholars also said that imam nawawi and ibn hajar has a bad aqiedah
I see many errors in this
And how more i see i see big differents between salafis and the major history scholars
Yes saud is made by europe lands and amerika and they helped the west to destroy the Ottomans

Let's make life easy, who on earth has considered Albanee as a great scholar? Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn Katheer, Al Dahabi, Ibn baaz. are all great scholars,, but why attach the later editions of scholars who have only spoke to split the Ummah ? Forget everything,, those who claim to be staunch followers of the above said scholars still twist their opinions and teachings to mislead the Ummah to follow their narrow minded one way script. The twisting of Ibn Katheer's thafseer on a Qur'an verse is clear evidence that these minions will go to any extent to trap the innocents in following their extremist wahhabi ideologies,, Infact these scholars were never pro Salafi or Wahhabi, but these wahhabis are using their name and will be held accountable on the day of judgement !! If I prove it to you, you should be willing to quit this ideology and seek Allah's forgiveness, in that case that will be sufficient to prove that your ikhlaas and imaan and taqwa is alive and more important than the ideology. Unfortunately, most of them who see the truth with their own eyes, only denied it and moved on with their extremist teachings. I wish Allah open their hearts and let them see with their inner eyes

There's no group of Muslims in the world that calls themselves "Wahabbis", your comment shows what a narrow minded approach looks like. Wahabi is a term of mockery, devised for people who try to bring evidence from Quran and Sunnah for every matter. And it's sad because that's what a Muslim is supposed to do.

@@HATL201 Really ? Brother, I will tell you. Do you have anyone from your family who got linked to terrorist activities and left his wife and child forever, his mother and family forever and vanished in the name of jihad ? Do you know any imaams who publicly advocate Wahhabism and is caught, arrested and put on trial for involvement in terrorist activities and holding extremist views ?? No.. hence you decided that whoever speaks on behalf of Qur'an and sunnah are labelled Wahhabis. That's a disgrace. Firstly these so called salafis who try to force wahhabi ideologies don't even know the Qur'an and the sunnah. Reading books give you information, but not knowledge or wisdom, unless the divine light is bestowed upon the one whose seeking knowledge. Unfortunately these idiots don't seek knowledge, they force themselves to by heart whatever they can and become arrogant extremists.. how can someone who has knowledge become arrogant and not humble ? Right ? Exactly, that's the sign of these extremists,, they have only become arrogant due to too much information that has no benefit to them or anyone they advocate, cos they are not blessed by the almighty. You need to go back to the story of Moses and Khidr and understand how on earth Moses didn't possess the knowledge that Khidr had, that too being the possessor of Torah. And you should ask yourselves why Khidr pared ways since Moses was not patient enough with Khidr and was questioning his actions. Yes, simple as that, those wahhabis do the same. They act as if they have prophethood and they are the possessors of knowledge, unfortunately they aren't. And if they ever had a chance to travel with Khidr, Khidr wouldn't even allow them to join. Firstly you need to learn history. Otherwise u keep making comments that has no depth and understanding.
