I’m not necessarily fat but just more than overweight. 16 and trying to accept myself BEFORE weight loss so I can do it healthily and slowly. That’s my goal anyways
I was your age once… trust me when I say it’s a vicious cycle of “trying to be skinny” and then being skinny and never seeing myself at the size I actually was. It’s so hard. I’m 33 and I still am not happy with my body but I try to think about what it can do for me rather than what it looks like overall. I can carry myself around, I can hold my head high if I choose! It’s not anyone’s job to make you feel good about yourself except you. It’s hard to accept but I’m learning!

This is the one and I feel so much more at ease. I just got out of a situation with a guy where he was manipulative and mean. I finally got tired and decided to leave the the situation and him altogether. Once I did that I was every “fat bitch” in the book. Not only was I hurt, but I was confused. Like sir, you knew what I looked like 🥴 however, I’m in a better head space and will no longer allow that foolishness to bother me from now on.

I say that because we have to give people room to process information as opposed to saying things the moment and expecting them to recreate the reaction we have in mind.
