As is the case with many others, I grew up with this series from the very beginning. I genuinely cried tears of joy this entire trailer. We are SO BACK!!!
For real, tears came to my eyes. I literally prayed to god before the direct that we got another one in the series even though the main company went out of business. Like you said: WE ARE SO BACK🤟🏽
I had this moment with thousand year door, im so glad the Mario&Luigi community are getting their moment as well! What a year!
when I saw luigi's design from M&L at the start of the trailer I nearly tried tears of joy. The mario and luigi games and thousand year door are seriously some of nintendo's best work. Hope they do the series that shaped my childhood justice.

I genuinely cried seeing this. I grew up with this series and thought it was gone forever. So happy to see it back again!!
I was expecting it to come back due to some leaks and hints from Nintendo but was expecting either a port of an earlier game or for the next console… was not expecting this game to be the last major release for the switch (Metroid 4 is for sure a launch day title for the next console)
Only problem is alpha dream isn’t working on it if I’m not wrong :(hopefully we can see starlo or smth)

Same. Only games I liked is Superstar Saga & Bowser's Inside Story. But I might get this one just to get the Mario RPG'S back in it's glory days.

I heard Nintendo recruited a lot of AlphaDream after the studio's closure.
It's crazy to say but this was the game of the Direct for me, which says A LOT considering it's the direct with a new Mainline 2D Zelda and Metroid Prime 4. This would have actually been a bigger "one last thing" megaton than the MP4 footage

I legit never thought there'd be another Mario & Luigi game after AlphaDream went bankrupt... Though that makes me wonder who's developing this game. I at least hope some members of AlphaDream are working on this project. They seemed to have nailed the artstyle of the series with this one, that's for sure. Also, surreal to think that within the span of a year, ALL of Mario's RPG series got revived on the Nintendo Switch!

I truly hope some of the original team was brought back to work on this. The art direction almost feels like it is impossible for some of the Alpha Dream folks to not be working on it.

I'll be honest. Of all the Mario RPG'S, the Mario & Luigi series are my least favorite. Not that any of them are bad. I really like Superstar Saga & Bowser's Inside Story the most. But none of them had me invested as much as Super Mario RPG, Paper Mario and even Mario + Rabbids. With that being said though, I'm happy the series came back and I might pick this game up to show my support & help get Mario RPG'S back into it's roots.
Complete opposite for me. The combat makes turn based combat fun. I never like one game in the genre until I played superstar saga. So I'm super hyped!
I wouldn’t feel bad for alpha dream, they did some scummy business practices and mistreated their employees. Appreciate the games/products rather than praise a company you know little about.
Every game development company to an extent don’t you know. Alphadream, Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft aren’t any exceptions.

@@Strangeisntit_real more like I criticize their policies, but they know how to make great products. The poor employees suffering from the policies of the higher ups deserve to be paid for what they go through to make such great games.
It’s why when we praise companies, we specifically refer to the development teams rather than the entire company.
