    What i really like about the girls in Nemophila is that they are down to earth confident individual young professionals. They all come from different bands and backgrounds, Mayu for example studied Law in the US for several years before switching her career to enntertaining, hence why her English is so good.

    • @screamindemon71
      @screamindemon71 Před 2 lety

      Not only that, Saki is a little more fluent in English so she's teaching Mayu the proper pronunciations of certain words. Mayu's committed to wanting to sing in English. Her pronunciations have gotten a lot better since then.

    Bruh, you need to see their "Life". It was on an encore of their live session and it shows a softer version of the beast that they are. This song is dedicated to their drummer who just returned after giving birth, so they all facing her when they sing the song as if all of the band is singing to the drummer. Very wholesome

    Thank you for reacting to DISSENSION 🤘👍😆
    For me, this music is a kind of state-of-the-art in its genre. I've literally seen this MV at least once a day since the release 😍😜😵
    I think I expressed myself poorly. "The Gap" does not refer to screamings, but to the contrast between some cute / feminine elements and legitimate, high quality, Hard Rock, Metal, Metalcore music. Not necessarily with screamings.
    Your screaming is very good, practically the same as Mayu's. Do you call fry screaming? I am not good at spoken English. It is a good description, adding that it gives a voice impression of pure evil, sometimes I wonder if any company will not call Mayu to make some terrible villain voice in some anime 😈
    But you and your band are able to cover Dissension, that would be unheard of.
    And Mayu in not evil, on the contrary, all the members are adorable, always smiling, laughing at each other.
    Nemophila initially met to serve as a support band for Mayu to be able to perform. It would only be a temporary side project, but the chemistry between the girls was so good that they continued. They did a lot of covers, from rock classics to J-pop. There are only seven, I think, original songs, but they are all fascinating. Because of the way it was formed, they did not sign with any major company. Which on the one hand means that they don't have big budgets to do things, but on the other side, they have complete freedom to do things the way they feel best.
    You're just scratching a hint of current Japanese Rock, an inaccurate list: Band-Maid, Lovebites, Aldious, Bridear, Mary's Blood, Asterism, Fate Gear, Mardelas, Destrose, Cyntia, Trident, Telecide, Brats, Broken by the scream, Passcode, Lady Baby, Ningen Isu, Unlucky Morpheus, Waggaki Band, X Japan (The Legend), Scandal, Show-ya, Crystal Lake, Angry Frog Rebirth, a crowd of rebellion, Mutant Monster, SiM, Salty Dog, Fake Island, Gacharic Spin, Doll $ Boxx, Maximum The Hormone, etc.
    Not to mention the world apart from Underground Idol and Vocaloid.

    • @GazMASHReacts
      @GazMASHReacts  Před 3 lety +4

      Thank you! 😁🤟 this comment is so full and well written. Your English is brilliant, the high pitch is generally a fry scream and the lows are generally called a false chord, the sing through a slight distortion is belting with distortion.
      I'm loving the metal music coming from Japan its so good!

    The flower used as a logo for the band is a baby blue eyes. This genus of flowers is native to north America and has the Latin name Nemophila (i.e Nemophila menziesii... Common Baby Blue Eyes) which actually means forest or woodland loving... a reference to the sort of habitat the flowers are found in. This is the origin of the band's name so feel free to call them your favourite baby blue eyes!

    lLove Hanabie, but now you are getting to the big time. Nemophila were founded in 2019. There are a supergroup composed of:
    Mary's Blood guitarist Saki
    ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu
    ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki (also plays with Lisa-X)
    ex-Hölderlins bassist Haraguchi-san, and
    ex-Soramimi drummer Muratatam (also does other projects)
    Other than Saki, none of them had previously been with a breakout band, despite having amazing chops. Getting these five together did the trick-they are just exploding.
    Initially, they were just a side project, co-organized by Saki and Mayu. They started off posting metal covers of well-known rock, pop and metal songs. Then they began posting originals, starting with “Oiran” czcams.com/video/eyb2NtPwcxc/video.html Their originals show a trend toward harder and heavier. After Oiran, you may want to check out "Dissension", which will fry whatever is left of your circuits. czcams.com/video/26aMuahxz8c/video.html

    Of course visuals are secondary, but in the same way that it won't hurt your chances for a successful career if you look like Mayu looks, good visuals won't hurt a video with good music, hehe.

    By the way, "the Gap" refers in general to the gap, or cognitive dissonance, created by cute, feminine-looking bands doing hard rock and heavy metal. It's an important part of the whole persona they project. Bands like Cyntia, Destrose, Aldious, Band-Maid and many others take it to an extreme, wearing frilly dresses, maid outfits, etc. while melting your face. Bridear and Nemophila are a little darker but it's still the same concept.

    0:40 It's not the style of vocals that is called _The Gap,_ it is the literal gap between looking kawaii (cute) and playing very heavy, brutal music.
    IIRC the term has been coined by BAND-MAID's Kobato Miku, who always liked the idea of looking like pretty, submissive maids ... and then kicking your ass on stage.

    One thing is not often to see is band metal made by ladys, when you Japan band metal you will get mental dariea, lets mention the Japan band metal i hear most Band Maid, Nemophila, LoveBites, Hanabie, Mary's Blood, Aldious, Hagane

    Subbed right away, as others said, here comes the Japanese bands suggestion flood and you won't be disappointed, no 2 bands sounds alike.
    Lovebites (range from Rock to trash metal with clean vocals) I recommend to start with Holy war live in zepp divercity 2020
    Unlucky Morpheus (range from rock to power/speed metal) I would choose Cadaver/Revadac with sheet music just to have your mind blown away with your 1st experience with them
    Galneryus with Raise my sword
    Fate Gear with Headless Goddess
    Mary's Blood with Marionette (Nemophila's guitarist Saki is in that band)
    Mardelas with Apocalypse
    That is already 6 different bands and 6 different style of metal.
