Man, I got a ton of little-to-mid sized trees to fall before I can even think of planting clover and the rest of that wonderful deer food for my 4-legged neighbors!
I'm growing a food plot this year! It is definitely hard work! I've been watching growingdeertv here on CZcams and have learned alot from those guys. I can't wait for this sesson!
Hey WTW, looking forward to checking out those seed plots in the early summer...what don't come up by then, you can replant other goodies that will make it by fall....take care!! 🦌🦌
Please bring updates every month on the growth. Really interested on the progress. every little piece of land is being used in my area but I been think of renting a little piece of land from my brother just for food plots
Mine is a mix of Clover, Turnip, Forage Brassica, Rye & Oats, planted at the end of Feb. ...but I live in suburbia, so mine is (a) to help grow the deer but mainly (b) so my wife can see deer in the back yard.
hey brotha adam , great vid n keep those ticks off ya brotha , i heard they are really bad up here in pa , check out xs sights and let me know , great stuff , thanks > tom !
I hope your food plots do a really good job that's a great idea you had I don't know how you like to eat deer meat but personally I'm partial to a nice big juicy roast cut up some baby potatoes in there maybe a little bit of asparagus a little bit of salt little pepper maybe a little bit of wild turkey or Jack Daniels whatever else you want to add and you have a really good deer roast I have no idea what those little white dots in backstrap deer meat but that turned me off of it
This is interesting as we cannot "bait" the deer here in Australia for want of a better word. No disrespect to the way you do it over there though it's just interesting that's all.
We are not allowed to "bait" deer with piles of corn or other food, BUT we are allowed to plant plants that they like to eat. Silly rules if you ask me
If you want to "freshen" the plots up this fall, just get some whole oats from the feed store, the place I buy it has initials TSC. They will sprout and you will get 50 pounds of seed for less $ than one 10 pound bag of seed blend with a deer on it. Deer love the oats and they are fairly cold tolerant, so you'll have green until hard freeze. You could broadcast the oats, just before a rain, over your bean field after it goes yellow and it will be going green in no time, can toss in some brassicas at that time as well. Looking forward to your updates.

@@WHOTEEWHO it does seem silly, don't worry mate I would plant if I lived over there as well.
