Excellent video, Luke. This is a point I don't think many are focusing on enough. I don't see this team as being poorly coached, but these penalties happen on an almost weekly basis. Our margin for error is so slim. I'm not sure we can sustain this much more.
I think that’s being a prisoner of a moment. He’s a great coach. He made one mistake with time management last year and then ppl forget that happens at times with every coach. And he has a game where there’s flags at bad times and now it’s he’s fault. People forget that last year, before the season started no one expected the jets to be so good. When they started playing good , ppl moved the goal post lol and started complaining about him. If a team plays better than they should constantly as a defensive coach it sounds like a pretty disciplined team to me
@@ashcash82I think Saleh is an elite defensive mind and communicator. I still think it’s fair to question his discipline (it’s been 2 straight years, not just sporadic games) and his time managements and timeouts
Coach keeps emphasizing violence from the Defense. This is the result. That flag on J.J. was as bone-headed as it gets. I was screaming so loudly at the TV after the play that I’m surprised he didn’t hear me. 💚
aaaaaand what happened vs the chargers stupid pre snap penalties it's sad how silly 5 yard penalties completely derail a drive, delay of game, illegal shift/formation, false start these 5 yards are setbacks, but for GOOD TEAMS with GOOD offenses, first of all they don't happen on good teams, AND EVEN IF THEY DO, they can overcome 5 yards. For the jets, they KILL drives, especially in the red zone It's like the Jets have no emergency play for 2nd and 3rd long situations
If we lost those penalties would’ve stung really badly, but man I love the way Jermaine Johnson plays and that’s what you WANT out of your defensive players sacrificing your body every play.

It's something that Robert Saleh has a problem with is time management and team discipline and in game coaching adjustments.
Defensive adjustments have been elite but I strongly agree with the other two.

Yeah it’s a fine line for sure between speed/violence and a lack of discipline. Can’t make those mistakes against good teams

Apart from the giants game, we've had very little penalties. IMO what's killing the jets is o-line and Zach.
Then you weren't watching how penalties took the Jets out of the red zone on 5 of 8 times in the games prior to the Giants game. That's not on Zach.
The Clemsons penalty reminds me of Mosley penalty from last year.
