  • This is the perfect beginner RC Car in my opinion and a great step up from the budget options out there.
    Its excellent quality, strong, durable and although it's not as fast as some of the other beginner options out there it's a nice all round package.
    Team Corally have done a great job with this new RC Car and it destroys the ARRMA Typhon 3s BLX in terms of build quality and features (IMO)
    The Syncro4 shares 80% of its components with legacy vehicles making it much easier to find spare parts.
    Team Corally have also improved on spares/parts availability and shipping is also much easier than before.
    Lots of you complained last time saying it was too slow so today we fit the biggest pinion gear possible with the stock motor mount to see if it really can do the claimed top speed of 50mph!

    I like Team Corally very much. They seem to have found the best balance of price and performance across many models. They are very durable too, or at least in my opinion. at 300 quid for a 4s basher buggy I can't think of anything that gets close, Great car, Corally are making some serious waves in the market.

    For anyone! If u do not want to make this hobb ya money pit and keep repairing and breaking stuff, go for a small pinion, get in the 2/3s lipo range with this buggy, get a nice heatsink for the motor and have fun. It is more rewarding and fun to invest in tyres and new body shell than on expensive electronic and blown up diff!

      I totally agree as well. I'm a 50 year old guy who only got into the hobby 2 years ago, but I now have over 10 cars. I respect that different people want different types of enjoyment, but I'm happy with having my cars looking nice on the shelf and having fairly light runs with them on trails, in car parks, and on the beach.
      I can't be arsed with bashing and thrashing and fixing. I enjoy them but respect them and have never had to replace any bits or service diffs, irrespective of whether it's a £200 FTX or a £600 Losi. As you suggested, the only things I have ever done is upgrade wheels and tyres.
      Each to their own, but I'm very happy with how I use all of my cars.

    • @beyondRC
      @beyondRC  Před 20 dny +3

      Of course and for normal use i would 100% say stay with the stock pinion on 3s. 29mph will be enough for anyone starting out or just enjoying the hobby. This video was a test to see if the speed claims where true. At no point did i say anyone has to do this mod. I did say its probably worthwhile if the stock speeds are not doing it for some but on 17t i would advise against going off road to prevent heating up the motor. Can i also remind people that there is a 50% and 100% Speed Switch on the transmitter so even if you do fit a 17t pinion you can turn the power down which will make it easier to use/control.

  • @smiley37greg
    @smiley37greg Před 20 dny

    Batteries and electronics are definitely an investment. In my projects I install electronics that are rated higher than necessary. They perform cooler and longer.
    Another thing is battery connection and wire diameter. Think of them as a funnel for electricity. The bigger the wire the easier they can provide power. Almost every failure I have experienced was due to wire diameter, poor soldiering or under rated Batteries.
    4s rigs are where these details become very important.

    People need to understand that the manufacturers gear them for moderate performance and LONGEVITY of ESC & motor. Their concept is to provide reliable platform at a reasonable price so that the customer can develop their skills and grow in this hobby. High geared, overpowered RC’s break and require upkeep… thats why most get out of the hobby.

    • @beyondRC
      @beyondRC  Před 20 dny +2

      Yes exactly. People are very quick to call some cars slow without understanding the reason behind it. This was a point proving video to show firstly it can do the claimed speed and also educate people who didn’t know that a simple gearing change can bring lots more performance. Like you mentioned going faster can mean things break more which I wouldn’t recommend if anyone is brand new to the hobby. Leave it as it is out the box and enjoy it.

    *That IS slow.*
    A buggy that’s maxed out on its pinion, and it only eeks out 50mph on 4s? And what’s up with the plastic motor mount? TC usually give you metal all over the place, but they go plastic (albeit chunky) on a mount that is going to get hot……seems a poor design choice.
