I wish I had seen this video 3 years ago. My first Filipina was 42 year old and worked in Angeles she said she was a helper in Club on Walking Street and I believed her. Sheent home then when the relationship got stronger she went back to Angeles which ended the relationship. Then I got a so called Mountain girl and she was worse she had a kid to guy from Sweden with kid. The big warning I should have noticed was the FB where you could not see some posts and unable to see her friends list. When I asked why she lied, she says “you don’t know the whole story and it’s just in your head.” Haha these women.
I've been married to my Filipina for over 10 years now and we talked for at least three years before we met. She never asked for anything although there were times that I sent her money but she never asked or expected to get any money from me. I never knew any of those veteran walkers as I wasn't buying into anything and when they start asking for money all of the time is when you should get ready to start walking or better yet running.

We prayed for job for her but in the end myself and leadership felt God wanted me to provide. Dont regret it either. Shes a teacher now and for the most part has finances under control this and next month ill help out due to no income until school starts again. Weve been together a few years and hoping to travel this year. Normally id say dont send money. My case is different. BTW to reilliterate to those who didnt catch it. Before i sent money to help... we prayed for her to find job which was her request. Sending money was not her descision rather after i talked with my leadership at the time. Then i told her about it. She has been thankful every day and works very hard at what she does.

This is going to push more people away from the Philippines, from the corruption, the scammers, I mean these happen everywhere but it seems rampant in the Philippines. Granted some people are stupid and come to the Philippines claiming they fell in love and get scammed. My mother grew up in the Philippines but she found her out of poverty from finding job opportunities in Korea to now living in the US as a realtor. I’m sure those scammers could do something similar but instead of putting the work, they revert to shameful shortcuts. I possibly got scammed after meeting a local online and she proclaimed her family was struggling to make payments on bills and I helped by offering $100. After I sent it, she made excuse we can no longer speak to each other cause of “mental health” reasons and blocked me. Never again…
I’m a white American man and retired from the US Army since 2009. I’ve been married to my Puerto Rican wife since 1990 and she comes from a small town towards the middle of her island and her family was poor. That said, my wife and her family have morals near identical to the same values I grew up with, I’ve never been lied to or guilted into sending money to help her parents. Puerto Ricans are equally intelligent as the average white American so our kids have a confirmed IQ of 136 and they’re doing great in college and one graduated high school 2 years early. I’ve always been curious about various cultures and my wife has a Filipina friend she’s known for about 10 years now and I’ve seen her have a couple common Filipina behaviors that her husband shouldn’t have dealt with. Seems that the PI, Thailand and Malaysia all think the same way about western men, the entire family will focus on how to snatch a white man with money or to just to get citizenship in a western country so she can pull over her extended family through chain migration. We all know how those sham marriages play out and I haven’t met an intelligent Filipina/Filipino yet, they can’t handle complex situations or think spacialy when it’s required. The average IQ in the PI is 75 and I think they’re being generous on that score!

I'm an American and I would like to retire in the Philippines so I've been doing my homework and I certainly appreciate channels like yours. Regarding potential love interests in the Philippines, I have two rules. Firstly, I will NOT go to the Philippines with the intention of seeking an intimate relationship. I will go there to establish a life for myself and to meet new people and explore, and whatever happens, happens. And second, I have no intention of living where other foreigners live. I want to experience the Philippines as Filipinos experience it, and then I can decide what conveniences I want to add. This strategy has the added benefit of going to where veteran walkers aren't, as well as avoiding other categories of people who prey on foreigners in larger cities (unscrupulous taxi drivers, overcharging merchants, etc.)

Im a young 28 year old American man currently in the Philippines looking for a wife and to immigrate here. I've crossed paths with a few veteran walkers already and I just keep it moving. Im currently talking to a few Filipinas but I try not to label them all as veteran walkers, it's real easy to get cought up in an echo chamber of "they're all veterans" which is rude AF to every you talk to. I'll keep my guard up but I'll also give people a fair chance to show their colors.

OMG, I'm already in trouble and I haven't even stepped foot on Philippine soil yet. I'm a very open person, easy to talk to, kind, giving, and gullible. My only safety net is I'm already 74, even though people think I'm only 60 due to my looks and how I hold myself. I'm not looking for a partner, yet I love eye candy. That's my downfall. If the right one comes along, I won't push it away, since I've been divorced for over 15 yrs. I'll be coming to Cebu in Feb of next year and hope to find a nice condo resort by the ocean on Mactan Island. I'm not sure if I'll stay there in the Philippines, or just visit for up to 9 months then go back to Texas to keep my Medicare active. OMG, I'm already in trouble and I haven't even stepped foot on Philippine soil yet. I'm a very open person, easy to talk to, kind, giving, and gullible. My only safety net is I'm already 74, even though people think I'm only 60 due to my looks and how I hold myself. I'm not looking for a partner, yet I love eye candy. That's my downfall. If the right one comes along, I won't push it away, since I've been divorced for over 15 yrs. I'll be coming to Cebu in Feb of next year and hope to find a nice condo resort by the ocean on Mactan Island. I'm not sure if I'll stay there in the Philippines, or just visit for up to 9 months then go back to Texas to keep my Medicare active.
