I have been coaching in the Lac Saint Louis region since my kids were 5 years old. It is nice to see the fruits of what soccer Canada has done for player development. I know if they continue that program we will go even further. Go Canada Go!

If Canada starts a new football league with promotion and relegation, builds new stadiums with undersoil heating and a closable roof so that you can also play football in winter, then Canada has the chance to win its first star in the next 20 years.

Football here will definitely grow but when you think of Hockey you think of Canada and that won't change any time soon and I don't want it to change because it is part of Canada's identity. Football will definitely grow here but I don't see it or want it to become larger than hockey case hockey is something that makes Canada's identity even if Soccer is the most popular sport internationally.

Canada has an excellent commentator to complement their excellent team. He called this game so well.
Top of the table and 100% earned this. Won h2h vs both USA and Mexico. Only loss we dominated and hit woodwork twice, despite playing most of the game down a man after a bs red card. Best goal difference, top scorer. And played half our games without our best player - really happy to finally watch them in the world cup

At the age of nine months I was taken to Canada by my parents and became a Landed Immigrant in the early 1970's. I loved watching the Toronto Maple Leaves Ice Hockey Team. I also naturally supported Canada in Sports. My Father decided to go back to Africa (Nigeria) and I lost contact with the country I loved so much because I was still a kid younger than ten years old. I later picked interest in Football and noticed that Canada was not a recognizable country in Football (I mean soccer as they call it in Canada and the U.S.A.)
Canada doesn't have much talent in Football but they had a long term program and harnessed the production line to produce talents. Their immigration system also created another avenue to discover talents and now they are ripping the fruits of the efforts in Football. The U.S.A. also used the same prototype and this is why they and Canada have become big threats to Mexico's continuous dominance in Football in that hemisphere of the World. Congratulations to Canada.👏👏👏👍
