      Although there is many forms of spirituality, there is only two religions. Scientific Theism the truth of truths that the Infinite Dimensional Point Of Infinite Raw Potential (God) literally and actually writes upon everything, everywhere and every when to prove so. The other religion is our awesome lies about such excellence. The illusions are our lies about Truth we do not fully comprehend and possibly never will.

See how dumb that is? The negative claim never requires proof. It is the positive claim that does. I don’t need any proof to say that Zeus isn’t real. You must prove to me he is. You are the arrogant one. It’s probably not your fault since you were likely not educated in science. But I hope you learn and grow from this.

      @TL-rh1lf Před 20 dny +8

      Logic and Rationality: It's often easier to prove the existence or presence of something than its absence or non-existence. Proving a positive claim allows for the presentation of evidence, logical arguments, and reasoning to support that claim. On the other hand, proving a negative claim (such as the non-existence of something) can be challenging because it requires demonstrating the absence of all possible evidence or instances, which is often impractical or impossible.
      Fairness in Argumentation: Placing the burden of proof on the party making the positive claim ensures fairness in debates and discussions. It prevents the shifting of the burden onto those who may simply be skeptical or unconvinced. Without this principle, anyone could make unfounded claims, shifting the responsibility to others to disprove them, leading to an endless cycle of baseless assertions.

      Well I'm an agnostic as well, so I don't have much skin in the game but i'll throw this out there. An interesting dilemma of "god" being widely considered as a infinite being, is that if god goes back in time infinitely, we would never exist. This is because an infinite series of events would have to occur to get to the present, and in the idea of infinite, that could never happen. I personally think this is better used as an example of, if there is a god, we don't have a very good understanding of how it works. Don't know if there is or isn't, but I am fairly certain that the evangelical version of god was made by humans.

      It is the dumbest claim you could make since it could be applied to any god. Why not believe in Allah then? Pascal’s wager applies to literally every religion. The fact that you invoked Pascal’s wager shows that you are very uniformed since it is made fun of by even most theists. It is objectively crap, especially since you can’t make yourself believe. And why would any god care?

    No, God exists. Sean doesnt know as much as he thinks he does, even for smart guys like him, he may very intelligent in one area, but not may be the greatest thinker in another. Many people just dont want it to be true. Thomas Nagle calls it the cosmic authority problem.

      You finding it offensive is the only current problem. Depending on the religion i suppose, no most atheists don’t want there to be a god cuz the god of the bible for example is an attempt of forcing believe thru fear, threat of hell. That is a dirty game frankly. But its not about wanting to believe. You cant force believe anyway, something you would think a god would know btw. I cant fake belief for example. I cant lie to myself about evidence that hasn’t yet been presented to me. At best i could fake it for you so you feel happy i guess, but then i would be offending all the other religions just like you are. You can only pick one, or none and either way, you are pissing off thousands of other religions.
